ve been to Ohana before and the food here is not the issue. I planned a dinner for friends and called yesterday to try to make a reservation. They do not take reservations because of their limited space and recommended that I call ahead to get on the priority seating list. They also stated that the time I was looking to book should be no problem to accommodate. As per the recommendation I called about 30 minutes prior to our planned time to get on the list. Upon arrival the hostess said it would be long while since all their tables are currently full. That was the last we heard from them. After giving 30 minute call ahead time plus a 45 minute additional wait a smaller group came in and was seated promptly. We decided to take our business elsewhere. As we departed the hostess then tried to get our attention to say it would be just a few more minutes. I told her I would have appreciated more accurate wait time information when I called and asked about availability, instead of a simple apology (with how small the restaurant is Im sure this is not a new problem) she decided to brashly state that they make no promises for availability on call ahead lists. Im not opposed to waiting for decent food but to be ignored and then treated rudely when given misinformation is unacceptable. We went to Tokyo Station at the Junction where we were greeted then promptly seated and served by a more pleasant waitress. Will not be going here again.

While we have eaten at Ohanas on several occasions we didnt the last time we were there. Why? Good question. When we arrived with our family of four adults, there was a table for four joined with a table for two that was unoccupied. There was another table for two available and there were three tables for four that each had couples at them.We were told there would be a wait with no other explanation. Twenty minutes later and we were still waiting, staring at the available seating. Worse yet we were only acknowledged once by the hostess. One of the waitresses glanced at us a few times and was obviously embarrassed. We finally walked out. It seems that the owners could invest some time reviewing seating management. We stood in a small restaurant with 14 empty seats not counting the sushi bar, 6 of them in an arrangement that would have accomodated us. A bench placed along the west wall and tables for two that could be easily combined for groups of four would have saved the six wasted seats at the three tables for four that only held couples. However, seating can only go so far. It couldnt compensate for the dismissive attitude of the hostess. While good, the food isnt worth the wait or the treatment. We wont be going back.

Best sushi and Chinese Ive ever tasted. I have had sushi all over in Utah, California, Washington and Alaska and Ohana is consistently the best. They also have great prices and super friendly staff. In response to those with complaints about the wait time; all I can say is that this is a small restaurant and as word of mouth has gotten around about how amazing this place is I have noticed a slighlty longer wait during peak times..HOWEVER, the wait has not been any worse than any other decent restaurant during peak hours; the staff is always friendly and accommodating and the food is WELL worth any wait. There are few restaurants that take as much pride in what they do as Ohana. That love is evident with every dish.

I havent eaten here. I wanted to eat here, and I arrived 5 minutes before closing time, but they reported they were closed. I used to work in a restaurant, so I understand that the employee may have had a really long shift and just wanted to get home, but at the same time if they report being open until a certain time, then I expect them to remain open until said time. Im dissatisfied with the food because I wasnt able to get any, despite showing up during posted business hours. Too bad, the place across the street got my business instead. (Wing Wah, it was pretty good as Chineese food goes.)

I love this place!!! The food is phenomenal the staff is so happy and friendly the decor is elegant, classy music, its so great that the owners greet us remember us and what we like to order! Absolutely the best sushi restaurant! The Nutella cheesecake is amazing and the seaweed salad is out of this world try there thai tea its so tasty! Such wonderful sushi ive tried it all.

First time eating here. Came just before 2pm, only a few other customers. Amazing service and food. Had Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, crab rangoons and salmon nigiri. All amazing. Best salmon weve had in all of Utah. Very quickly prepared, but not rushed. Presentation was on point! Atmosphere is perfect too. We think we have found our new favorite Asian restaurant.

Probably the best sushi Ive had in a long time. The Ogden Roll was easily my favorite and just delicious. Staff was kind and remembered my friends who introduced me to the restaurant. I additionally loved the atmosphere. Very clean, neat, and the music from the 50s (ala Sinatra and the likes) was a really nice touch. Would recommend, plan on going again soon.

My guests and I always enjoy this place every time we come. Its a little small inside but we love it because its quiet and intimate, and doesnt have a bunch of kids running around. Food quality and wait service is always perfect. Presentation is always beautiful. Restaurant is always clean. This place is truly deserving of five stars.

I am so impressed. By far the best sushi in northern utah. I ordered take out so I was expecting everything to be in a foam box. No. My be to box had its own cute little tray and everything. Completely made my day! I can tell that the owners really care about every detail. This is the only sushi restaurant I will go to now.

My wife and I went in with our two sons. (1 and 3 yrs old) and I was nervous they we going to be too noisy but they engaged my family as a whole and made the visit fun for all of us. They took good care of us service wise and especially with the food. Super good!!! It is now my favorite Chinese restaurant.

We eat at Ohana almost weekly. Gary and Anna the owners are wonderful, they make everyone feel like family. The food, especially the sushi is the BEST on Ogden, and everyone should try it. We will continue to go here, between the Food and the service and atmosphere, we are completely Loyal customers!

The place is decorated well but the place is cramped! Very small space, literally 7 or 8 tables plus the sushi bar. The food was pretty good for the price. The soda comes in a can you pour yourself into your glass, no sake?!? Service was poor, not friendly or had many suggestions on what to order.

I love supporting our local places and these guys have done fantastic job! You would never expect such a great atmosphere and amazing sushi on 12th street! However, it is AMAZING! The Ohana roll is my favorite and I would recommend to anyone! Support our local businesses and neighbors!

Five stars. This place has never let me down. Everything I have tried is so delicious! Especially the sushi. I highly recommend it. Plus it looks just as good as it tastes. The serving sizes are enough to make you full and have some for tomorrow. My favorite roll is the volcano so far.
