There arent many places I give such a high rating. From the moment I entered the clean restaurant hungry, to the moment I left full and highly satisfied, I cant say anything but positives. My husband and I love sushi and can eat a lot (him more than me). We wanted some place we hadnt tried. He remembered picking up a menu from this location once and suggested it for all you can eat sushi. When I called to find out the price, I became a bit skeptical because of their low price for lunch. Im used to other places that are at least $15-20 /person. When we entered the restaurant at around 3pm on a Monday, I was a bit worried that there werent any other customers. We asked for the all you can eat and were handed the papers to fill out. There were about 35 options to chose from, not including the appetizers. When the appetizers arrived (quickly) I was surprised to see the amount and quality. Most places Ive been, the tempura vegetables are scanty...typically small pieces of a zucchini or something less appetizing. This plate included large stalks of broccoli, esperagus, sweet potatoes, and even mushrooms. The batter was perfect. Not overly thick. The vegetables cooked nicely...firm but not crunchy. Warning, dont just start shoveling it in...its fresh and very hot! But soooo delicious. The Miso soup was hot, with large pieces of seaweed which made it not need any extra salt. The edimame was hot and came in a large amount. Very well salted. Then came the sushi. I was a little surprised at the immediate impression I got from the size. These roll pieces looked small. Upon closer inspection of the well plated food, I noticed how tightly rolled they were. I never had a single piece fall apart before getting it to my mouth. The portion of fish to rice was very nice. The fish took up the majority of the room in the roll. Not only did they look nice, the taste of all of the rolls we indulged in, was pretty spot on. Tuna is my favorite fish. I ordered everything I could that included tuna and it all tasted very fresh. My husbands favorite was the spicy octopus. It has just the right amount of spice and crispness. The octopus was perfect. Not too chewy, but just enough to be a satisfying feeling when chewed. The orders were filled quickly. Even as a more tables started being seated, we never waited more than 5 minutes for refills on the sushi. The server was very polite and spoke English very well. Our drinks were always filled, and the food was always spot on. The price for 2? Only $30 for all you can eat including appetizers and drinks (we both had hot tea and ice water) If you leave hungry from here, thats your own fault. This is now my new goto when I want good Japanese food. I recommend this to anyone who loves sushi. I didnt try any of their other items, but with the quality of what I did try, Im betting its all just as great!

Okay listen, I used to come to this place all the time. I havent been in a while until today, the first time eating here again, after time off has been a nightmare. First the guy on the phone could barely speak English, trying to make a take out order, we had to go through 3 other people to get our order straight, all we wanted was sweet and sour chicken combo, and wanted to switch out the spring roll for fried shrimp. Finally the order was completed, upon picking up we had to repeat we were picking up our order 3 times, and he could not understand. We finally got the order and went home, to find out that they substituted the chicken for shrimp... and no sweet and sour sauce... also the sushi rolls used to be so good, but upon biting into a Vegas roll, is just a mouth full of cream cheese... the new management for this place, has a lot of catching up to do , if they want to compete with what was before. Im not saying dont go here, its just that its not the same as it used to be, and you would probably be better off getting gas station sushi...

Best Chinese in Layton! Dont judge it by its looks or the number of cars outside. Its a great little place with a wide variety of food so far we have liked everything weve tried. A lot of people order take out which is why theres not often a lot of cars outside. Our favorites are the Sushi, General Tso and Lemon Chicken. I personally love their Lemon Chicken its fresh and not all sugary like other places. They have the friendliest staff, they are always smiling and happy to serve you. If you order carry out always do it over the phone as it takes longer if you order online. We started coming here after the local Royal Jade started going down hill and well... were never going back to that other place. Customers for life.

Horrible service, horrible waiter, horrible everything.. my friend, her husband, and I ended up going there tonight, Ive been here before with great service but tonight was different, our waiter didnt even check on us while eating, he didnt refill our drinks for us, and at the end of dinner he FINALLY came over to us and he asked "how was the food?" My friend who ordered shrimp told him that she didnt get what she ordered and he started arguing with her and was completely rude. I am NEVER going there again! I wouldnt recommend it to anyone looking for a sushi place. Next time Ill be going to Osaka Sushi in Layton and I suggest you do the same.

I used to like this place. It had good food and friendly service. When I would dine-in, it was better. But today they dropped the ball. I ordered a take out lunch and they didnt include the spring rolls that was clearly on my receipt. I usually make a habit to check everything before I leave, but this time I only asked if everything was there, and they told me it was. Woopdeedoo, Im out $2.00. I ordered the mongolian chicken. It has a funky smell to it, doesnt taste all that great either. Im not a picky eater, but I couldnt finish my dish. The steamed rice was soggy and mushy. The sushi rolls are okay. Im not going back. Good luck!

We went around 4:30pm last week, it has a good quiet like vibe and very well kept. The waitresses wear kimonos over pants/leggings (its snowing after all) and I find it great that the management lets them keep warm, I dont normally see that. The food was delicious! We decided to do the sushi instead of the grill. Almost all of the sushi was 50% off too and they offer a military discount (my partner is military). The ambiance was really nice too, not too dark and not too bright. The service was quick and the waitress was appropriately attentive. Definitely going back here!

I have been here before and the service/food was better than tonight. We ordered but when the food came it wasnt what we had ordered and we had to wait a very long time to receive it in the first place. All employees were running literally at full speed and I think that they were just hopefully having an off night. On a side note - I dont care if you are a smoker, but please do not bring my food smelling like and tasting like you have been doing it over my food while it was being prepared/brought out.
