They are VERY chinsey on the amount of pepperoni they put on each pizza. So my wife asks me to add DOUBLE Pepperoni, simple request right? You would think that double pepperoni would cover the pizza right? WRONG, it looks the same as a regular pizza from any of the lower-priced pizza joints around. So, three times this has happened and when they show me the pizza I ask them why didnt they put DOUBLE Pepperoni on it? They apologize and then add on extra pepperoni like they should have the first time. So just last week I called in an order for my wife to pick up, I EXPLICITLY told the person over the phone about how 3 other times we ordered DOUBLE Pepperoni and they didnt put it on the pizza. I told her to be sure it has DOUBLE! Guess what, when my wife brought home the pizza the pepperoni was scarce, so I called and spoke with the Manager, Matthew. He apologized and I told him that they finally lost us because they are the most expensive pizza in town and they keep ripping us off on the double pepperoni. He then told me that he was going to credit us for the pizza that was incorrect as a good faith gesture, which I appreciated. But guess what... they only deducted the $3.00 soup that was with the order and not the Pizza. So essentially, the Manager Matthew lied. Remember Me Matthew, you told me that you would take the pizza off the order. I used to love going here, but I mistakes over and over again sour the taste of the meal, esp at the prices they are charging. I will go to Rozattis (Litchfield & Waddell), Babbo (Bell & Reems), Luckys (Bell & Reems), Little Sicily (Reems & Grand), even Hungry Howies (Grand Ave) before I go back to NYPD to get ripped off more.

My family of 4 tried NYPD Pizza for the first time this afternoon. The environment was casual and the wait staff was very friendly. However the service was incredibly slow. It took over half an hour to get our cheesy garlic knots and the Mac & Cheese we ordered as soon as we sat down. About 10 minutes after that we got the order of pizza bites (a single slice of pizza) for my one son. Our pizza didnt come until wed been sitting almost an hour and by the time we left, neither of my kids got the sundaes they were supposed to receive as part of the kids meals ordered. Dont get me wrong, the pizza tasted GREAT!! We all really enjoyed our food - once we got it. And if it werent for the incredibly slow service, Id have rated our visit higher. But having a 2 & a 6 year old, both with super short attention spans and neither child receiving the kids mat or colors available, made our experience a bit stressful & quite miserable to say the least. We might try their pizza again, but only as a to go order. Its very unlikely we will dine in at this establishment again, especially if we have our kids. At the very least, the manager did give us half price off the garlic bites, but considering wed ordered 12 and at first they only brought us 6, who knows if that was really a discount or if it was easier to just print off incorrect ticket and mislead us vs fixing price of meal. Especially since we were told one kids meal would be comped due to slow service and kids meal wasnt actually comped. I suppose I could have addressed the matter, but at that point I was so frustrated I just wanted to leave!

Kind of a disaster. I had heard good things about this place, so my wife and I wanted to try it. Last weekend we ordered 2 small pizzas for delivery which turned out to be more than $50. This was absurdly expensive, I felt... but maybe its just that awesome. I decided to give it a shot. Ordered the pizza at 12:30pm. The receipt said I should expect delivery by 1:22pm. Waited... waited... Finally at 1:55pm, I called the store to just cancel the order. While I was on the phone, the driver finally showed up, so I decided to go ahead and get the pizzas, since we were starving by this point. I pay the driver, including tip, and go inside. My wifes pizza was actually covered with jalapenos instead of green peppers... So I called the store back again. I explained that I just waited an hour and a half for my delivery, and that the pizza was wrong. The lady said that she could have a new one made a sent out. No offers of additional compensation or anything like that. A little over 30 min later, the new pizza finally showed up so we ate. The pizza was pretty bland. Way overpriced, not very good, excruciatingly slow delivery time, and no additional compensation even after sending the wrong pizza. Ill stick with Rosatis. The ONE time I ever had a problem with Rosatis, they apologized profusely, fixed it, sent the correct pizza and didnt charge me ANYTHING for the entire order. Thats how you do customer service. These guys couldnt seem to care less about their customers. Too bad. I always try to support the local businesses. Even Papa Johns would have been better tasting at half the price.

Great pizza and a great manager. Its one thing to feel positive about a place when everything goes off without a hitch, totally different when you leave impressed after they make a big mistake. I ordered over the phone recently and the order accidentally didnt get submitted. I showed up and they couldnt find the order. The manager immediately comped my order and gave me a cup to get a fountain drink while I waited. They were really busy so I had to wait a while. The manager was very apologetic and sent me home with an extremely generous gift card. Most places barely apologize when stuff like this happens these days, much less compensate the customer. The lengths they went to make sure I left happy has made me a loyal customer. We just moved here from Delaware, so we grew accustomed to the NY style pizza. NYPD pizza is definitely authentic. The crust is easily my favorite in Surprise. They clearly use higher quality ingredients for everything. It doesnt come nearly as cheap as Papa Johns, but its worth every penny. Youll quickly taste the difference.

The food was good once it finally got to our table. Server took our order, and we never saw her again for 50 minutes. We waited for about 45 minutes before our calzone, and small pizza arrived at our table. That was after my wife had to go tell the girl who had no idea what table she was suppose to take the order to that it was ours. Never did get the cheesy knots we ordered. Our server acted as if she did us a favor by taking it off the bill. Asked for napkins, and silverware and never got any. We had to go get them ourselves. This place has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Do yourself a favor, and find some place else to eat.

Pizza good unfortunately the salad tasted like it had been in the back of the produce section of a grocery storage facility for sometime. Usually outstanding. Waitress very understanding was going to remove from bill even though we said it was fine but when bill came the supervisor brought it and did not remove item. No problem but this supervisor (assuming by demeanor) had bad attitude from the start like she doesnt like her job. Would not like to work under her - poor employees. Very unusual service last night because of e interactions with her. The other girls were fabulous 2 were.
