It is rare that I go into a place and come out extremely satisfied and at peace. Everything was in perfect unison today. First it was the service, we were rememberedfrom a few months ago and it made us feel appriciated. The beer was perfect and they brought us a fresh chilled glass with each pour of our pitcher. Second they brought to our attention about an off menu borrata board. It was just what I was looking for. Sweet salty words can not describe. But it is seasonal and not on the menu. Third was the lunch combo. I wanted something new thast I have never tried. Again I wanted something with a little sweetness. I got the chicken Penzanella sasld with a sweet potatoe pizza. The salad was amazing it had lemon flavor with blue berry sweetness. Now the biggest surprise of the morning was the pizza. Sweet potatoe pizza, I was not so sure about that but I trusted his recommendation. I got it with sausage and everything balanced, the sweet potatoes are a subtle cream like sweetness, and the sausage added texture with another flavor you just have to try for yourself. Lastly, we sat within view of the oven. And I was amazed by how the staff interacted with each other. Everyone was happy and worked together. Even in the kitchen, they were dancing and laughing. Everyone kept checking on them and asking if they needed water. The floor staff were happy and trading origami dollars, there were smiles all around. And that positive energy shows in the food and the service that federal pizza provides. Again I am leaving with a sense of extreme satisfaction. At ease with life and ready to face the world. I got one will come back again.

I like Federal Pizza because its a mix between urban, casual and fancy. Its a cool date place as the menu items feel elevated without it being extremely frou frou. My date and I shared the special of the day- eggplant parm with cheese. The size was barely the right amount for 2 people- filling for us but we could see other people needing to order more. At $14, it was thin crust and very fresh tasting, although I thought the breading on the eggplant was so much that it killed any eggplant flavor. The server was very nice and did not shy away on putting 4 pounds of grated cheese at our tableside. The patio area is small but very comfy and the different types of pizza offered were unique and on the higher-end. Not bad at all.

This is my new favorite spot. I have come here a few times after helping my sister at her office. The atmosphere is very hipster retro--meaning that it is easy going. I have heard mixed reviews about the pizza but every time I have come here the pizza on their lunch menu has been baked perfectly. Ill come back every time for the pizza. Their salads are delicious too. Tasty chicken. Also, if you call ahead, you can use their drive-thru and get half-off the bottled wine and beer to go. Im writing this review outside on the patio and the wearthwe is perfect. Recommend coming here when it isnt a thousand degrees outside.

Amazing pizza! This was a recommendation from a friend in the area and he didnt lead me astray. I was a little concerned at first because the waiter sounded a bit high brow, but his recommendation was spot on. I had the lunch special and it was great. By the way, I cant recall the last time I was at a restaurant where the entire staff was as pleasant as this place. My water glass never dipped below half, a rarity, and we were checked on by multiple people, repeatedly! I struggled with 4 or 5 stars, because they dont have BBQ Chicken pizza, but since it was so good, I just cant dock them a star for not having one item.

I havent actually eaten here since the wait was too long, but I dont plan to come back. I took the light rail from downtown to Camelback and walked two blocks north to the restaurant only to find theres no front door for pedestrians. The only way to get in was a weird side door with drive-through traffic coming at me head-on or walk up the drive-through and go in the back door (what they call the main door) where the parking lot is. Suburban form in an up-and-coming urbanizing neighborhood. No thanks. Ill go to St Francis (or anywhere downtown) where pedestrians are treated with dignity.

Take an old bank convert the bank drive-thru to pizza pick up serve incredible food and you have federal pizza. Located next to Postinos on Central Ave same owners same concept $5 pitchers of beer and $5 glass of wine before 5pm but instead of bruschetta PIZZA! The pizzas and sandwiches are amazing try the Casanova pizza- prosciutto, dates, ricotta, arugula and pecorino. Everything I try when I visit is my new favorite dish You can order pizza over the phone hit the drive thru and they will fill up a growler of beer while you wait I have never seen that very impressive

I love Postino, Windsor and Churn so this was next on my list to try. I had a coupon for a free entree/pasta so my mom and I gave it a shot. The atmosphere is very cute, modern and in a great location! We ordered: Arancini - always a great appetizer, was perfectly fried and full of flavor Meatball Pizza - everything was great, pizza was a little soggy and had to be eaten with fork/knife, but didnt bother us Garganelli Pasta - perfect blend of ingredients and very light There are many other items on the menu that I would like to try, so I will definitely be back!

Federal Pizza is definitely pizza done right. With unique decor and a lively staff the whole experience is truly original. Though I always gravitate towards my favorite pie, the Casanova, Federal offers a great arrangement of pre-designed pizzas, as well as a great selection of toppings to build your own. Sweet happy hour like the rest of Upward project restaurants and an awesome selection of craft beer. If your in Phoenix you have to check this out, and ask for Kayla, she rocks!

I go on Tuesdays for their 2 "picthers" of beer and pizza for $20. The pitchers are just really large 32-40oz steins. The pizza is good. The butcher plate is decent (but not amazing) and the sandwiches are pretty good. If youre trying to go to a nice place on a budget, this place is good. Definitely have this place in mind for a backup plan on Tuesday night when you cant get a table at Postinos or Joy Ride Tacos.

If you havent re-discovered central Phoenix, there is more going on on this block than youd ever believe. Federal Pizza has great unique selection of pizzas, excellent wine and beer specials and a classic atmosphere. Go there. If you dont love it, you have Joy Ride Tacos, The Windsor and Postinos within walking distance. If you struggle picking a place to eat, just go and park. Youll find something there for sure.

Same owners as Windsor and Postinos wine bar. Again they get the atmosphere right though the red lettering on the menus gets a little washed out in the dimmed lighting. The staff is very professional and friendly and the food is great. Its definitely a pizza place and you cannot go wrong with any of their pies.y wife and I are vegan and they are happy to modify anything on the menu for us.
