I was looking for a good Korean place on the east side, so when Google came up with this place, I decided to try it. Its in an older plaza, where many of the suites have fallen into dis-use. Still, the plaza has a cool adobe look. The food here was really good, and very authentic. The servers were also very nice. I was a little surprised by the smell when I walked it it was like what you get when a building is really old and needs a deep-cleaning-- not due to the style of food. Parts of the place look like they have been refreshed (nice floors, new fabric in the booths, etc.), but there a probably a few hidden areas that could use a good scrubbing. Still, the food was unaffected by that. They have tables where youre supposed to be able to cook right there (gas setup), but it wasnt working, so the waitress brought out a nice portable gas stove so that we could do it. The food is really good when cooked right there at the table! You can add jalapenos and garlic if you want it. They brought out romaine lettuce, too, but I wasnt sure if we were supposed to make lettuce wraps or what. In order to cook-at-your-table BBQ, you have to order two things. That wouldnt have been a big deal, but they average about $20 each, depending on the type of meat. Yes, you get all the Korean side dishes (we had about 6), but no soup or salad. You get a small bowl of rice, but its $2 more for each bowl extra-- I really miss the time when Asian restaurants were more liberal with the rice. Like I said, the food was delicious, and if I could score restaurants separately for separate concepts, I would give more stars for the food. The value isnt great, is all, when you look at what you pay versus the amount that you get. This place also serves sushi, which I have noticed many Korean places doing. We ordered a roll, which had a unique combo of ingredients, and it was so-so. We love sushi, but were used to a very high quality. Red Kimchi has tons of potential, and from the reviews it looks like it has a lot of fans, and I really hope to say it raise the bar to the next level. I would love to come back again after certain upgrades/ renovations, or at least a deep-cleaning. Its hard being in an older plaza/ building, but they did a great job making yummy food!

A TRUE Korean Treat! My co-workers and I discovered this outstanding restaurant a few months ago, and it is now our Tuesday lunch spot. The food is wonderfully prepared, and the service is genuinely warm and welcoming. The menu is relatively streamlined, so you know youre getting food that hasnt been sitting around just waiting for someone to order once in a blue moon. Decor is bright and appropriately themed. Music is Korean pop. Restrooms are clean. And the disposable chopsticks are of higher quality than youll find anywhere.

This place is the absolute best!!!! The guy when we walked in was nice and without asking made sure we had the fan/ac was on us and was well serviced and then after the meal he made us an oragami heart thing from a dollar bill and then gave it to us! It was from their own money too! And then he did magic tricks for us! Entertainment with a good as he*l meal this place was awesome so funny I definitely want to come back again!!

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. I take my husband to Red Kimchi frequently and he has become a big fan as well. He likes it spicy, but I do not, yet we both seem to find lots of different things to enjoy. We have invited our friends to join us on a few occasions, and they too have given us the thumbs up on this restaurant.

A family friendly place to eat Korean Food. They have options with the table top grills or if you dont want to cook it yourself you can do that as well. Their food is always fresh and delicious. They do not use MSG and they are very health conscious. They told us that they use a different blend of fruits as a substitute to sugar. Highly Recommend!

We just ate there for lunch (we work next door at skysong) and it was gross. There were so many flies that my co-worker couldnt even finish his meal. The place also smelled funny (that should have been a sign). Our waiter was dripping. After the fact, talking some one else in the building, said they had gotten sick after eating there. Suck.

Today, called red kimchi and ordered 1 Beef BBQ and 1 Korean hot soup. I think the beef went bad. Taste so old and tasteless. I had only 1 pc and through away the remain. Soup taste like hot water + MSG.+ Hot souse Paid 38 dollars for it. What a waste!! Panda Express is way better. Their food will make you very upset and angry.

I havent tried all the Korean restaurants in the valley, but of the ones Ive tried so far, this is my favorite. The food is great and very authentic (I lived in S. Korea and am always searching for Korean food that tastes as good as it does over there!). The staff is friendly, the owner always jokes around a lot with customers.

The owner was really sweet! He did card/magic tricks for our group of 6. He also came out with a cool little orange/whip cream sculpture after our meal for free. Other staff was also very friendly. Food was good! BBQ was very flavourful. The overhead actually plays korean music!!! Not kpop though haha. Id definitely go back!

Visited here on a trip to Phoenix. The food was high quality, ambiance was OK, the prices were quite high based on my past experiences at Korean restaurants. The ambiance was just ok, not amazing... for the price I would have actually expected a bit nicer place I guess. Food was very good and fresh.

Outstanding bibimbap! Some of the best Korean food Ive found around the area. They also make boba drinks which is always a bonus for me. Their taro tea boba is worth going there just for that. Service was great and the portions were more than enough so you wont leave hungry.

Great Korean BBQ. Fun and interactive service with amazing BBQ and Kimchi! If you want a unique dining experience and fun service then visit here. The staff was hustling back and forth and made great recommendations for the meal. We will visit again!

This was the worst korean place I have ever been. Me and my husband ordered our drinks got our drinks and ordered food. Half hour passes by and nothing. No one stopped at our table at all. So we got up and left. Never going back

The beef for the Bulgogi was fatty and very low quality. The kimchi had a bad taste to it; so much so that I spit it out. I left the 4 California rolls due to the vegetables inside looking wilted & old. It was an awful experience.

One of those hidden gems - do go for either the barbeque (pork was excellent) or the rice hot pot. Also, they even make their own boba balls for drinks (or so they said) - we liked pretty much all the food/drinks we ordered
