Most Expensive Food Poisoning Ive Ever Had This restaurant boasts such a plethora of sins - a veritable bouquet of rank, a smorgasbord of terrible, a pantheon of illness - that its difficult to chose where to begin. To be succinct, the food is bad, and the service is worse. As I insinuated above, the quality of the food is poor, with the kitchen turning out bland, watery, and greasy dishes. Moreover, the prices are so inflated I ended up spending more to get food poisoning that I spent on all the pepto bismol, gatorade, and toilet paper I went through after my Hodori Experience. And friends, I went through A LOT of toilet paper. To make another point of comparison, it took longer to place and receive our food order than I spent in the bathroom afterwards. (I dont want to be indelicate, but I finished a sudoku puzzle before Hodori finished with my intestines. And I am not good at sudoku.) So if you enjoy waiting two hours, if you like overpriced, bland fare that makes you ill, if you enjoy waving to wait staff like a castaway signaling a rescue boat, and then paying too much for it (dont forget the mandatory tip!), or if you just want to finish a sudoku puzzle, then I have a place for you. As for me, Ill go back when Hell is as cold as Hodoris food.

The food is unbeatable in Arizona, but the staff can be very rude. In some respects, it very much seems like a Korean restaurant from only Koreans. They seem to tend to treat black and other non-Asians with less courtesy and respect than Asians. Ive been eating at this place for years, I am half Asian and speak Chinese and Japanese, and have taken many friends here. It is definitely my experience that we get MUCH better service in groups of Asians than in groups of non-Asians. We ate here once with our friend from Japan. In Japan they dont tip and our friend forgot to include that in the bill. A large man from the place actually followed us outside to the parking lot and asked us why we didnt tip. Our Japanese friend was thoroughly embarrassed and it soured the entire meal. Since they act like theyre doing you a favor when you eat there, do yourself a favor and find a different Korean restaurant.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night. It is a restaurant with a large dining capacity. I ordered the seafood pancake and dol pan bibimbap. Of course with all korean restaurants they start you off with a bunch of small dishes with things such as Kimchee, fish cake, seaweed etc. The seafood pancake was fairly big and came with a dipping sauce. It was tasty but could definitely have used more salt. The bibimbap was also pretty tasty and it was pretty cool that it was served on a sizzling clay pot. The bibimbap could have also used more salt... I am fairly certain that both the bibimbap and seafood pancake could have tasted a lot better had they just added a bit more salt... I was fairly satisfied and was left with leftovers for the next day. The service was good, the waitress was very attentive. I would have to come back here and see if I would make it one of my go to places for comfort food.

NEW FAVORITE, HANDS DOWN. I love Japanese food and sushi, but felt like I need to mix things up a little - Ive heard a lot about Korean food and decided to try here- I was SO not disappointed! I came with a friend and suggest you do too: nice big portions, and perfect to share one or two dishes with two people, the only issue is trying to decide on what to get! It all looks so good. The dolsot bibimbap-hot stone bibimbap- is really a great choice if youve never had this kind of food before. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated and we waited about 10 minutes to get drinks and take the order after we got our menus- at lunch time on a Friday, thats super fast in my book! Very clean and the staff was really friendly and explained how things were made when we asked.

Sad to say this place didnt meet the awesome reviews it has. I found my bimibap to be super bland (even after drowning it in red paste) and not very hot. The dumplings we ordered were just OK and the soup we were given at the beginning kinda tasted like a butternut squash soup with way too much refined sugar and gelatin added to it. Service was a little off (maybe they were too busy) in getting water refills or asking for sauces. My friends bulgogi was decent, definitely needed more spice in the meat to make it worthwhile. Pricing was way too high for the amount and quality of food we had. There arent a whole lot of Korean restaurants in the valley but I dont think i will be returning anytime soon. Sorry

We have been on the searchnfor good Bulgogi. If thats what you want, Go Elsewhere. $20 for an average size serving. And that serving is 1/3 of fat. (they said thats normal...which we didnt have that issue at other places weve tried) No real flavour. Bland. The little side dishes they serve at most Korean restaurants were a joke...Ive never been served so little....and remember the Bulgogi is $20. Didnt care for the atmosphere. Could of been made nicer and more welcoming. Staff didnt seem to to fast and they dont check on you after food is served. Will not go back. There are others that are better for cheaper.

Good food, but rude waitreses. This girl asked me what Id like to drink and I told her what I wanted, clear enough for her to hear me. Yet she asked my dad, "What did she say??" Later when I ordered my soup, I made sure to be completely obviously loud and clear for her. She gave me an angry look and another waitress came back and gave me my soup when it was overboiling. It got all over the table and a little on my pants. This woman asked me if I still wanted it and sarcastically told me not to worry about the soup "over boiling itsself on me again."

Service not that good, BBQ beef was dry, pictures of dishes on display were not available, they wanted us to order another dish with out oysters and said it was the same but it was $24 instead of $14 and they would add more pork. You can buy a lot of pork for $10! Bill included tip, they called it a tax, had to call a waiter for more water while they the staff stood around talking. Price range should be $9- $26

Great food. The price alittle bit higher than other Asian cuisine restaurants. They are always packed, so the service is alittle slow too. I feel bad for the waiters and waitresses, but they do try their best to provide good services. Also, since its packed, you are for sure to smell like Korean Barbeque when you leave.
