I used to live near this restaurant and am vegan. They have the best veggie burritos I have ever eaten. In fact, every time I eat at another Mexican restaurant, I am disappointed. They could learn a thing or two from this humble place! The serving size is also great value for the money. What makes these veggie burritos so special starts with the tortillas which have an almost crisp, flaky texture. Inside they use diced potatoes, an uncommon but welcome ingredient. Also included are chunks of bell pepper and pleasant proportions of veggies, topped off with a sprinkling of black pepper. I skip the cheese and often have guacamole added. They have a salsa bar with three different types of salsa. I go for a serving of the red and green. They also have a mixture of marinated carrots, jalapeños, and onions which are nice and soft. I usually eat that by itself and order some to take home to snack upon. I have since moved away and whenever I am in the area, I make sure to stop by. I have similar small Mexican restaurants near me, but they all disappoint me for the following reasons: The tortillas are nothing special. The insides are nothing but rice and beans--bleh. The portions are small. The salsas are nothing special, and if they happen to have marinated carrots, jalapeños, and onions, the carrots are hard and everything is cut into large pieces that are difficult to eat.

First time noticing this place as we drove by. As you walk in the place smells clean and the smell of food is inviting. The cashier that took our order happens to be the owner as well. Very nice lady. Had a bit of a chit chat about Sonoran Mexican and chihuahua Mexican food... Anyway... It was two of us eating. We ordered the large Menudo and the #14 rolled tacos and one drink that came with the #14. We spent $19. Not too bad but definitely not what you expect to pay for Mexican food at a shopping strip spot. They were not lying about a large bowl of Menudo so bring your appetite. I must say it tasted more like a bland pozole than actual Menudo. The hominy was overly soft but the actual Menudo meat was good. Had to add some salt a few times but not much of a difference. The rolled tacos were good although they could have used more meat. They were freshly made which was nice. The beans were also fresh not canned and not soupy like other places. Overall, I gave the three stars for the service... Quick and friendly and the the cleanliness of the place. The food would be more of two stars for being fresh and having some flavor. Cant say that this will be my go to place but if I come again I will be giving something else a try.

I decided to come here after passing by many times, I got menudo to go on a Saturday morning and when I poured it into my bowl I got a surprise big curly black hair. So I returned it to the restaurant and they replied to me, "oh its menudo thats how its supposed to be, it has hair in it."To which I replied Im not stupid Ive had menudo plenty of times and I know it sometimes does have little hairs from the cow still on the meat, but I guarantee that long curly black hair was not "part" of the menudo, and I suggested hair nets to the employees at this point they had no response and refunded me. I dont respect an establishment which doesnt even apologize and instead decides to try and lie to its customers. Dont try this place unless you want a surprise like I did, and not a good one.

2nd time here, first time I went for the Taco Tuesday ($1 Tacos)... Tacos are ok... Today though, I ordered a Red Chili Burrito.. and it was really bad! The meat was nothing but chewy nerve skin, I was not able to bite into 1 single piece of "meat" ... What is worse and what Ive noticed is a trend with other reviews, is that the food is too expensive, especially for being a "fast food" shop...Will not be eating here again.. EVER!

I eat here so much I had to slow my roll. The food and service is great. I got to know the owner and he is very nice and professional and friendly. He knows me by first name now. I love this place and its a family night once a week for dinner. I recommend this place for everyone. The only thing I would change about this is their weeknd hours. They close at 9. 10 or 11 would be better on the weekends.

This place is a rip off. Its not authentic mexican food. The food is on the higher end of cost and is not worth the amount nor flavor. The meals come with a drink, but if you want horchata or anyother drink than fountain soda they make you pay 1.99 extra. No worth it even though its the closest "mexican" food close to my home. I rather make the drive to get real and tasteful mexican food.

This place is awesome. Im not sure what happened on the bad reviews for service but maybe they fired those people. The lady at the front was the owner and she was very personable. It was my 1st time going there and I didnt really know how to order the Mexican food. She was very very patient(I couldnt decide what I wanted) and the food was good. I will definitely go back.

This must be the blandest Mexican food I have ever had!!! Enchiladas with NO sauce?? wth!! The enchiladas looked and tasted like there was dried powder rubbed on them. DISGUSTING!!! Ordered chicken - received some sort of disgusting beef!!! The rice was almost white, with ZERO FLAVOR!!! To top it all off - the portions are tiny!!! Never again - Id rather go hungry!!!!!!

The food is good, but one thing that really stop me from coming back is the service. It took for ever get my order and it took forever to get my food. Not worth the waiting. Its not the cashier fault, its the owner should put two people in the front. Plus one day the lady that cooks was fighting with the cashier about an order. Definitely that was not professional.

My husband bought two beef soups the other day and they were disgusting. The meat was like rubber and the broth was watered down. It was almost closing time for them so they must of sold us the left overs. Not worth the $18 my husband paid, never going here again..

Wtf? What kind of restaurant/fast food place closes at 7 pm? At least if your gonna have hours like that you need to put that up online so that people dont go all the way there only to be disappointed that youre closed for the night, and its not even dark out yet!

I just moved to the area and discovered this place before I was even unpacked from my move. I LOVE this place! Great food, fast service and the portions are big! The salsa is also very yummy! Worth the visit if you are in the neighborhood!!
