I have been going to Kneaders since it opened and have enjoyed the food and the service up until this evening. In the last 6 months each time I have been in to eat I have noticed that the service has gone down hill immensely which has been a big disappointment. Tonight we went for a bit to eat and came away with questions as to why the service was so bad and the soups werent the quality I have come to expect at Kneaders. It appeared there was only 4 possibly 5 people working. We waited for our food for 15 to 20 minutes which is unusual and disappointing. It wasnt crowded at all and several other customers were wondering what happened to their order and as we did. (I know this because I spoke with them). Snow birds will be coming soon and my advice would be to step up your service and food quality. (The soup we had was barely warm. I asked for croutons twice and was told I would get them. They never showed up). Word of mouth is very damaging if the service and quality of food isnt improved. Snow birds will be sure to let their friends know it isnt the same place it was before they left. Im very disappointed and I have been a very loyal customer.

I have not been to the restaurant personally but husband has brought home take-out 3 times. Not a good experience. The last time I had ordered a portabella sandwich and what he was sold was apparently a veggie version with no mushrooms whatsoever. The filling contained about 4 slices of zucchini, a few pieces of sautéed onion and a couple of tiny pieces of red pepper. All this was served on a large piece of bread that was very difficult to chew and had some kind of white sauce? Maybe cream cheese. For a sandwich costing a little over $9.00 including the tax, this one was way overpriced. My impression is from what weve had so far is that they use huge slices of bread with a somewhat scanty filling. Im very disappointed as I had read good reviews about the place. Perhaps it was the staff at the time and at this location. I doubt we will return. I would recommend they cut down on the size of the bread and use something a product that is not so hard and dry. I have never written a negative review of any restaurant and dont like doing this but there needs to be some improvement here.

Start with the positive. The food here is pretty good. The bread pretty amazing. Thats about where it seems to end. The atmosphere Im not sure if its a restaurant or a knick knacks display place. Also the staff never really seemed pleased we were there. Im part of a group the frequents their competitor every week. Most weeks its about 10 of us, but there are times where weve been around 20. Kneaders really didnt have good accommodations for the large group and when we walked in it was almost as if the staff got mad they were actually going to have e to do something. Yes I realize it was 7:45 at night, but that shouldnt really matter. Then they were very obvious about being upset that we sat in a section they just mopped. Well guess what it was the only section that they have that could kind of work for larger groups. It was great to have the competition reopen so we could feel welcomed again. I may be being hard in them, but when your food isnt great your staff cant be rude or come across annoyed. Not that it should anyway, but...

I went here on their grand opening day, and several times, thereafter. The food is delish! Sandwiches and salads are good, but not so big for the price. Desserts all look yummy as we tried several on different occasions. Their breads are yummy, and priced right. An employee, Priscilla, had just moved here from Hawaii. She was awesome and very pleasant to talk to. She got my order correct, and up in no time. On another visit, the employee was not so nice. She was quite rude, especially after I gave her my rewards card. She said she tried putting it through several times, and it wouldnt work, and expected me to accept it. I had a big order to go, and I wanted my reward points added. So, I asked her to get a Manager to do it. She was completely rude thereafter, and was not thorough with my order. So much for that. ...I had to go back, and the Manager took care of it. He was very nice and handled it well. They have a drive-thru, which is more convenient. Lines tend to get long though.

We used to love coming here to eat but the last few times I have been they have left out parts of my order. I just went back in the first time, but the next time I called to see what could be done about it. She took my name and order and said that they will know who I am because my name would be on the customer complaint board in the back room. If that isnt asking for someone to spit in my food I dont know what is. I will not be returning here until they can double check that their drive through orders are correct. *Update* There was lettuce in my sons PB&J sandwich and turkey in my french dip...

I went here for the first time today. I debated between a salad or the rueben. Unfortunately I got the rueben sandwich. Honestly the worst rueben I have ever had here in Phoenix. 2 slices of fatty meat, red onions (which Ive never had on a rueben before) a teaspoon or so of sauerkrat, and some sauce for almost 9.00. The rye bread wasnt even that good. The sandwich was more bread than anything. I didnt even really eat it. What a disappointment! I doubt that i will come back. Ill stick with The Irish Wolfhound for my next rueben!

Kneaders is SO good! We recently visited some family in Phoenix and ended up eating here twice! I cant comment on their lunch items, but the cinnamon french toast is absolutely amazing! It is all you can eat from 7-11am but no one in our group could eat more than the 2 huge slices that they give you. The syrup is very buttery and good. It was a little less than $6 for the french toast. The restaurant is new and set up very cute. They also have outdoor seating available. They are closed on Sundays.

The chicken sandwich I had Was nowhere near the $8.50 that cost There was only chicken on half of it and it was mostly all bread and very little meat then I had a question with my bill that I did not understand and they finally got me a manager to explain it and she was very rude acted like I was putting her out to explain this to me This was my 1st and last visit to this place
