Visited for lunch on Thursday and was really disappointed! The previous resteraunt in this location had incredible food well seasoned etc. This is not the case here. I ordered what appeared to be a kale salad and added chicken. What arrived was a bowl of sliced cabbage and a few sprigs of kale. The dressing was good bit the cabbage was so bitter and spicy I couldnt eat it and that says a lot because I dont return food. My husband ordered a chicken burrito that lacked flavor and was surprisingly small for $8. Also worth noting is there was only one server on staff. He was over worked and the service was slow. I hope they work out the kinks because the location and the concept is good.

We live nearby and walked in at 8:30 on a Friday. Many empty tables. Just four of us, looking for a cocktail and nachos. Hostess says "Were looking at about twenty". "Twenty what? Minutes?!" we say. "Yeah, sorry, we only have two servers on staff" she replied. "We dont want to wait 20 minutes, you really dont want us to eat here??" There was maybe 20 people in the restaurant. "Yeah sorry, it will be 20 minutes". So we walked out. If they dont want us to sit at an empty table, we wont force our way in. It was just okay the last time we went, right after they opened. Was hoping they would improve. I guess Ill never know, because Im never going to attempt to go back.

Food was not that good. We ordered online so it was delivered to us. Most of the food was upside down, cold, or just bland. They forgot part of our order and told me that it would be delivered ASAP. Over an hour later we still hadnt received it so I asked for a refund for just the missing product. The manager yelled at me through the phone "We will get you your money!" and then hung up. As of today, 3 days later, I finally was able to get in touch with a supervisor who is going to refund me my money. I will never EVER come here again!

Disappointed after seeing positive reviews. Waiter didnt know the wine being served was a Syrah, called it by the brand instead. My steak, advertised as being served with sauteed veggies and rice or baked potato, came on a huge bed of cauliflower. Not even roasted, and I HATE cauliflower. Sent it back, they literally brought it back with an empty plate and 4 green beans. Who serves that in a restaurant? Trendy it may be. If youre staying in the hotel and are hungry, the burger is probably safe.

Cafe Tranquilo is a casual but upscale restaurant in the Clarendon Hotel in Phoenix. I had dinner and breakfast here and both meals were spectacular. The menu is kind of a Latin fusion, very innovative, and the food is prepared and served with great care. Service is attentive without being cloying. The Clarendon Hotel is kind of off the beaten path in Phoenix, as in, not downtown, but definitely worth a trip. Prices are reasonable, at least I thought so. An entertaining, delightful, gem.

This is my little gem in the city... I can call them at midnight and still order chillaquilles! I have tried the different dinner specials they have and I constantly tell myself, "Oh they need to put this on the menu..." Oh and I can taste hints of chocolate in the mole sauce. Im getting hungry just writing this review and I think I know where Im going to grab some dinner! But seriously.. check this place out. Great menu and flavors!

We have had some nice meals at this restaurant over the past 10 months; unfortunately not consistently! Despite living relatively close to the restaurant, it is unlikely that we will be coming back anytime soon. One would expect, that leaving most of the fries untouched and expressing how bad they were (greasy, and soft), someone from management or kitchen would come talk to us to find out how could they correct the issue.

The food is absolutely delicious. I have traveled all over Mexico and this is the best Mexican food I have ever had. The flavors are rich, bold and suttle all at the same time!!! The staff is top notch and make you feel so welcome. After dinner you can walk upstairs for a drink and listen to music on top of the hotel overlooking the city lights. I will be coming here every time I visit Phoenix.

It is a very cool place and the environment is friendly and fun. Everyone in our party agreed that the food was so-so at best. The corn was excellent but the chicken mole taco was bland. The pork taco was good, but needed more flavor. The farrow salad was excellent. The other guests at my table said their food lacked flavor. And no one was really interested in a return trip.

I used to come here often but now the seats are too narrow. Im 62" 200lbs and I cant even sit flat in the seat because its too narrow for my hips. The food is generally good but there arent many vegetarian options for my date.. anymore. No veggie enchiladas or queso fundito. Im sorry to say we arent likely to come back..

We stayed in the Hotel Claredon and ate our breakfasts in the Café Tranquilo. The orange juice was very expensive but the breakfast was always very delicious. In the evening from 5 to 6 pm was wine hour. The prices for wine or beer werent expensive. Never had such a big bowl Chips with Guacamole and Salsas for $ 3.5.

Love this place their food is absolutely amazing and drink specials are great as well! I love taking new people here to explore their awesome menu. The guacamole is amazing sauces are great my favorite is the green. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Cant wait to go back

We ordered lunch through Uber Eats and I just have to say it was amazing. Also when one of our items was left out of the bag and the uber driver couldnt go back to get it, their manager drove it over personally. Thank you for the delicious meal and amazing customer service!

Been here quite a few times and every time i come in its always a great experience with the friendly staff and great atmosphere. I personally recommend the Fish Tacos and the Campechana torta they are amazing. What a nice upgrade from what the cafe was before!

My husband and I went to eat at tranquilo cafe. The food was okay. The problem were the pigeons. They were on the table trying to eat our food so we had to chase them away several times. I wanted to order another drink and the waitress never came back.

Great atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. We enjoyed everything! We all ordered a different item, then shared. We will defiantly be back. Menu items are priced reasonably. Even the Gluten Free items .. Great deserts too !

Outstanding service and food experience. Amazing margaritas and great draft beer. Prices were very reasonable. Great atmosphere. Focused and very tasty mexican menu. I highly recommend a visit. Happy hour runs until 7pm.

I live this place so much... amazing food, decent service, Chef Dan is a local favorite. .. rooftop bar with food now available and the patio is huge now.... much better than the previous restaurant!
