LOVE this place!! My best friend and I go to 5th Ave at least 3 Sundays a month- I know he probably goes there on his own more than I do. Since we go so often and typically order the same thing every time, they know our orders so well that we just have to sit down and get served immediately! The young gentleman who always busses our table and serves the beverages is such a great guy and we never have to ask for refills! All the servers are great, but we always try and sit in Gabbys section as she is the BEST!! Dawn and Earl are the owners and they always make each of their customers feel right at home. Dawn is there on Sundays and she always makes it a point to come and say hello and chat for a bit. The food is great and the atmoshpere is quaint and cozy. It is an absolute MUST to try this place if you havent yet!

FABULOUS. The place is amazing. The decor is nice and relaxing. The food was great. I was just here for breakfast. After this experience I will be here more often. The service was so nice, friendly and felt sincere as if they were happy to serve me. I ordered the chorizo scramble. It tasted great to me. The chorizo was flavorful, eggs perfectly scrambled with the chorizo and potatoes. So yummy. Ive ordered that at other places and they always over cook the chorizo and eggs. My meal was perfect. I highly recommend this place for singles, couples and everyone. You will be pleased here. As for the prices, very reasonable. In fact less than other places. You need to be here. Enjoy.

Had breakfast here twice. Great food for a reasonable price. The service was pretty good too. I noticed the bus boy circling the place every couple min just to be sure the tables where taken care of as fast as possible. The wait staff where friendly but I arrived just before the lunch rush and the service got slower and slower as time went on. I wound up having to go to the check out desk to get my check and I never got a refill on my coffee even though I stopped a waiter twice to ask. As I said, the food is great, and the Portions are generous. Just dont go during a busy time or you will end up deserted by the staff.

Have been coming here for years unfortunately this time may have turned me away. I was disappointed to see they have raised there prices but I love the food so figured it was still worth it. Unfortunately service has gone down hill. I paid 2.49 for a small mug of coffee with no refills. I asked the young gentleman who was my server for a refill he said sure but never returned. A lady stopped as I was standing up and asked if I wanted a coffee refill umm Im leaving now so kinda to late. Higher prices and Less service doesnt sound right to me

Family owned, homestyle restaurant with a tenured and attentive core staff and tasty food. If youre looking for American favorites that remind you of home cooking, this is it. Ive been a regular for years and can always count on seeing familiar faces. Owners Earl and Dawn really care about their customers and go out of their way to demonstrate their appreciation of every one of them. Always like eating with good friends.

What a great down to earth atmosphere! The staff are friendly, courteous, and prompt service. It reminded me of the small family owned dinners in Memphis TN. The place that everyone knows everybody and if you dont you will know someone before you leave. I would so recommend trying this place when in Phoenix. This will be my destination for breakfast when Im in town.

Tried this place for the first time today and it was wonderful. Very friendly staff and great food. Good price. They were all very very good with my 7 year old son. Went out of their way to have a conversation with him. Noticed we were new customers. Made us feel very welcome. Id like to make his a regular stop for me and my family. :)

This little Diner is a must! I stop by for breakfast on my days off, and am always greeted by smiling faces and cup of hot coffee. The food is consistently good, which cannot be said for many small cafes. That must be why it is always full of so many local residents! Stop in, and see for yourself

This place is bomb. The folks there take care of you as soon as you are seated. Food is great and service is better. Nice variety of menu items. This place has been here for sometime, I found out. Just sorry I didnt find it sooner. My problem with this place is I dont know when to stop eating.

Great food for a great price. I always come here feeling welcomed and never rushed. The owner always talks to us and is so nice. She knows everyone there and there are a ton of regulars. This is a great breakfast option for those who are sick of chains or ultra-trendy/hipster breakfast joints.

Love this joint. The owner tends to walk around the restaurant ensuring her patrons are completely satisfied with the service and food. Servers are quick to respond to any requests. The food specials are wonderful. I have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I just moved to Phoenix and was looking for a cafe like this. Perfect! Food is good. There was confusion about who had to take out order because they had people in training but the owner/manager came to our table and acknowledged the situation. Bathrooms are small but very clean.

I want to like this place I really do but I dont. The service is wonderful and the scene is lively but the food has no taste to me at all. Been here about five times hoping to like it since my family loves it but I cant get over how my orders seem to be lacking spices or flavor.

5th Avenue Café is LEGIT! Fast and friendly service, quality food, and a really light and airy atmosphere. Never a disappointment coming here. Bring the wife and kids when we get to this part of town. Allow yourself to have a great hot meal and a very reasonable price!

Friendly and clean. Not vegan friendly. The only thing I could put together was a veggie skillet but it was dripping with oil, I couldnt finish it. Our last visit (prior to being vegan) was amazing which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3 based on this visit alone.

Only go here for lunch when they typically have several specials. The food - fairly standard stuff - is very good for the price. We always have prompt friendly service and to top it off they have a frequent diner card: buy ten meals get the 11th free.

I work as a service tech here in phoenix and surrounding areas and like to try new places to eat.... this place reminds me of places I used to eat back home (Pennsylvania) excellent comfort foods..... this is going to become a regular stop

These guys serve up a great very reasonably priced breakfast. Something as simple as two eggs with bacon and an English muffin or even really good breakfast burritos. They also have excellent lunch specials! Highly recommended!
