I am truly one of the biggest coffee shop snob ever, and this is the first review Ive ever written for any of them. I LOVE Copper Star! I found this place about 2 months ago, and now I come here for hours at a time to study at their long community-style tables (they also have several individual and bar-style spots, if you prefer). There are more than enough outlets, so you never have to worry about your electronics dying on you. The music is awesome and not too loud, so it doesnt distract me from my studies. Enough lighting, temperature is just right, enough space that you dont feel "trapped" while studying - told you, Im a snob! The coffee and pastries are top notch. They have an amazing baker who comes in to bake all the pastries herself. More importantly, for me, the environment that the staff and the owner, Bill, create is what makes this place my favorite. There are more "regulars" that frequent this shop than any other place Ive seen. The owner knows them all my name and back-story. Its a great community feeling. Whether you are looking for a great study spot, a place to do business, or just a relaxed community environment to enjoy a coffee on a Sunday afternoon, Copper Star is wonderful.

Found Copper Star a couple weeks ago. Im fairly new to Phoenix from the Midwest, so this little coffee spot gave me a nostalgic feeling of home. The patrons are a laid-back and tempered nature, which makes each visit a delight. My only issue, and the reason for only 4 stars, is that the patio area is overrun with mosquitoes. Its very difficult for me and friends to enjoy ourselves for all of 5 minutes before we are riddled with bites all over our arms and legs. And they will determinedly bite through your clothes! My advice to management is to invest in an effective insecticide. Be it candles, DE or what have you. The fountain thats next to the patio is likely the culprit. I have been restricting my visits to Copper for this very reason.

A funky little gas station turned coffeeshop. Love the old timey yet artsy vibe. I like and dislike that its so small. Like the fact that its a little indy coffeeshop tucked into a corner of the cute retro district of Phoenix. Dislike that there arent a few more tables outside. Thankfully it was quiet and there was one table left for us to sit at (inside was full already). I wonder if the place gets busier on other nights and where people sit when the seating runs out. Other than that, the coffee is flavorful and the pastries are delicious. A great place for socializing or some quality "me" time.

There is a difficult way to describe this place other than a huge melting pot of ideas. All of the fun filled employees make you feel better and are very personable and tend to your every need. They have an amazing lavender mocha that is to die for. Although the review gets 5 stars I must admit that the owner is a little odd and has this strange habit of saying hello and bye to everyone. He makes sure that all needs are met for each customer and always likes to listen to their feedback. He is truly odd and its strange that he takes time off to listen to each person individually and very attentively.

I cant believe I have missed this awesome coffee house for 10 years?? I drive buy it once a day and had no idea this star was waiting to be discovered. I have to be the last gal in the neighborhood to get a free first timers pastry! They have pumkin spice all year round as the owner let me know and the cute young man behind the counter welcomed me to the family. Coffee was great with my blueberry muffin baked fresh on premises daily. My new hang out!

Friendly baristas and great atmosphere here. The smell of coffee and the company of a great book makes this a wonderful, cozy spot to relax. I suggest their house lemonade or tea with strawberry or mango syrup. You cant go wrong with their blended vanilla or simple cup if coffee either (especially with vanilla, caramel, or coconut syrup added!) Overall, the amazing service and overall chill atmosphere will definitely keep me coming back for more.

Im okay with this spot. First and foremost, thank you to the employee who (when she found out it was my first time stopping in) gave me my lavender mocha on the house. That sort of friendliness and service is what many places lack!!! This place has the potential to ge great. I liked the music variety overhead, and the variety of small and large tables. And, of course, the staff was super chill, which is always a good thing.

I didnt have a lot of expectations for a non-chain coffee shop on 7th Street and Indian School but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was calm and quite, the service was prompt. It is a nice place to sit down with a friend and talk. I had a big chocolate chip cookie and it was to die for, and a fruity tea. I highly recommend this place as a quite spot off the beaten path in a very interesting part of Phoenix.

I absolutely love coming to this shop. The owner is so friendly and knows most people by name. He is friendly to the employees and customers. Additionally, they have great drinks and baked goods and see products from local artists. I enjoy the atmosphere on Saturday, and can sit for hours people watching and working on homework. They have breakfast snacks, wifi, a drive through and a good vibes.

I have been a fan of copper star when me and my boyfriend moved that side of town and decided to be open with the places around us. The live music on Sundays is absolutely amazing with true talents. Grab a 24 ounce Tuxedo Mocha extra sweet and you will be sipping on the heavens desert. I recommend this place if youre looking for a wonderful place to work on or get away from stress.

Parking can be tricky, but its well worth the trip. Copper Star has a great selection of really tasty beverages, including some awesome teas. Im a major fan of their house chai blend, and love the lavender mocha as well. The decor and music make for a cool place to enjoy your drink, as well. Havent tried the fid, yet, but the beverages alone are worth a trip k or ten).

Casual, comfortable and a rustic feel. Working from home and boss came into town wanted to meet for coffee, this was in-between the two of us. She liked the place so much, every time she comes into town, she wants us to have a meeting here. People super friendly, quick to smile and helpful, lots of options for coffee and food and the free Wi-Fi is very useful for us.

I dont go out for coffee to often but when I do I love copper star coffee the shop is nice small and quite close enough to my neighborhood that I can walk or bike there. If you have to drive there good luck the parking lot is also small so if I drive there I use the drive thur and go home the food, service from the staff and food is amazing and worth the 5 star review
