Early Date Night....... Lets see what kind of mischief we can get into tonight! -****DINNER UPDATE***** ***FOOD REVIEW SPOILER ALERT******IF YOU LIKE ZUSHI STOP READING HERE***** Upon getting to the halfway mark of our entrees, wife and I were done!!! The teriyaki sauce tasted like formaldehyde & Im not sure that the meat in my "chicken" yakisoba ......was even chicken! Honestly, Im a pretty tolerant guy, but this was something else. Ive had Filibertos carne asada thats less questionable than this stuff. Quite frankly, Id rather opt for a couple packages of ramen noodles ... The food was super hot at first and I was hungry, so I started diving right in. It wasnt till the halfway mark that things got interesting. We both laughed about this little insurrection, paid our bill & politely walked out. Only reason we tried this place was because Ive heard its BETTER than Got Sushi - WRONG!!! Sushi was decent and thats where the story ends .. Would give the entrees a half star review, but not an option. Took forever for water and service. One guy serving on a Saturday afternoon .... interesting indeed. The reviews here are highly rated. If you like this place, then youll fall in love with OSAKA in Mesa!!! Anyhow....next time its back to Osaka where the food is great, the service is "quick" and we dont walk out smelling like weve been in an embalming chamber. Todays food review is a half a star. Time to go find some decent desserts to balance off this mess... P.S. - This wasnt the kind of mischief we wanted to get into tonight. Overrated...

Not very good sushi. The rolls are TOO BIG and therefore putting one piece in your mouth makes it hard to even chew! Seriously, the rolls should NOT be so fat, make them bite sized like sushi is supposed to be. The water tastes horrible here. The waiter said its Reverse Osmosis filtered, but clearly the RO System isnt working very good! Tastes like tap water. Service was slow. It took 20 minutes for us to get 4 basic rolls. The rolls themselves were ok. Not bad tasting, but very plain and bland. Not like you expect sushi to be! Also, instead of putting their slices of fish on top of the rolls, they grind them up like ground beef and shove them inside the roll. Thats weird. I dont want pre chewed fish. I want a whole sliver of fish. Rolls should be like sashimi in that regard. Also I dont understand why they offer American steak, Korean noodles, Chinese dishes, and Thai food. Its supposed to be a Japanese sushi restaurant! They dont know their target market. Seriously I recommend going somewhere else. It wasnt horrible, but for the price, it was NOT worth it. Most rolls are between $8 and $14 each. And their happy hour is a joke! They take $1 off. Just ONE DOLLAR off during happy hour. Their only saving grace in their location, since there are few sushi restaurants in Mesa. Oh and the chairs, wow. Theyre solid wood with absolutely no padding. My butt and my girlfriends butt were hurting after sitting there. Maybe a big booty person wont mind, but why not accommodate everyone and provide comfortable seating? Not recommended.

This place is great. I have never been there at night, but the daytime staff is amazing! Every time we go, we have the same waitress and she recognized us every time after our first visit. She is always friendly, and so is the sushi chef. Sometimes service is a little slow, since she is the only waitress. But its worth the wait. Happy hour prices are great, and during the summer, happy hour lasts all day. The rolls are really good, I recommend the Vegas or the Spider. The combos are also really good! I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for some good American-style sushi.

DO NOT BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS>>THESE PEOPLE EAT CRAP FOOD!! This place has the worst service ON THE PLANET! and the worst food...Stickers still on fruits (so they are not washed obviously) Forget parts of our orders,Or individual order all together.. Burned food, Small portions..Really? 4 stars..NO.I dont think so...AJs grocery store has better fresher sushi!! Go to Osaka people... that will be a 20 star REVIEW for you people then.

I have been to many many sushi restaurants and Zushi is by far one of my top 3 favorites! The quality and price of the food is amazing. If you dont like sushi the menu has so many other options. The Orange chicken and garlic edamame is my favorite. Great place to go with friends for martinis, good food and great prices for happy hour. If you have never been to Zushi I highly recommend you go there.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. The portions are large, prices reasonable, selection is perfect, and the service is good. There was a small period a couple years back where the service dipped a bit, but in the last year it has been just right. When I have gone to other sushi joints anywhere nearby, I find myself thinking I should have just come here.

Good service, but every time my husband and I have gone, they are closing early. The prices and lack of business could spell the end for this little sushi bar. Plus, because of the constant early closing, the rolls feel rushed. Four of the rolls we had tonight fell apart before we could get them in our mouth. Very disappointing. Probably will not be back.

We had great service and fabulous food. Loved they have a childrens menu so our picky eaters can have their hamburgers and chicken while we have sushi. They even have little plastic things that help the kids use their chopsticks. Our waitress had them cut the tails off the shrimp tempura so our kids wouldnt notice. We will be going there again.

I was a HUGE fan of Sushi Kee (their other store) and not sure how they can outdo themselves, but this is beyond awesome sushi! The food is delicious, the staff is courteous and very friendly, and the prices are extremely reasonable, what more could you ask for. Zushi is the BEST sushi restaurant in town and may be in all AZ, and Ive tried many!!!!

Best Sushi in Mesa. They make their rolls large you get way more. Cut it in half with a knife if its too big. If you want fresh sushi better then RA Sushi this is the place. Better prices better service and never a wait. Its my favorite place. Las Sendas has it all and Zuishi is the best in the Valley. And ive had sushi all over the world.

While there are a number of sushi restaurants in the area, Zushi is my favorite. Happy hour starts after 9pm, and that is when you can get the really great deals on rolls and drinks! The atmosphere is perfect! With dim lights and welcoming colors, it is the perfect place to come with a date! Try it out!

Its sapose to be a grand opening and the place was filthy. The waitress went to seat us in a booth and the fabric was really soiled. Then we sat at a table by bar I had a view behind bar all the glass cases looked like they had never been cleaned . Our sushi was warm not chilled. Dont think we will return.

I started going to Zushi a couple years and now go back whenever I have a chance. It is a favorite lunch place for myself and friends. The sushi chefs are awesome and never fail to create high quality delicious rolls. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good sushi.
