The first thing you do when entering the building is grab a cafeteria tray and make a salad. The only interaction youll have with staff is handing them your credit card at the end of the line, and them awkwardly reaching across the table to collect empty plates. That is my biggest gripe with the place, I feel like Im at a school cafeteria, or a mall food court. The room is noisy no matter how many people are present, and the decoration is on par with that of a rural Subway restaurant. There is hope though: the food is great. I made my own salad to look Mediterranean with the addition of a few mushrooms, and was even surprised by the choice of vinegar they offered. I then tried a vegetarian soup and was pleasantly surprised. And if you feel overwhelmed by all the health conscious choices, there are enough breads, pastas and ice cream to keep anyone satisfied. Its a shame that they didnt channel their "homemade" brand into the décor and atmosphere, because thats what makes the difference between a great restaurant and a glorified cafeteria.

Weve been coming to this location for three years, and today was the absolute worst trip ever. Well be taking a break from Sweet Tomatoes for a while. The girls at the salad bar were too busy chatting with each other to stock anything, and there was no ranch dressing on either side (4:00 pm on a Sunday should not be a "no restocking" time). My daughter found a hair in her broccoli madness, and the guy in the booth next to us found a rubber band in his soup. The gluten free maple not muffin was raw in the middle. The featured item, pepperoni and sausage focaccia, was gone, and it seemed everyone working was about 15. I couldnt find the guy who usually runs the place, so he must have had a day off. Sadly, Im not sure he should be allowed to take days off, as his staff cant get much done right without him. :( I hope things work out better next time.

I have frequented sweet tomatoes for many years, about one hour after my meal (on 3/19/17) both myself and my girlfriend experienced bloating and discomfort, over the next few hours we had to use the bathroom regularly and we were still not right the next day, there was no doubt it was something we had eaten. I phoned up sweet tomatoes and spoke to manager and she said I would be contacted the next day, this did not happen. I was not after any compensation just after an apology and assurances the matter will be seriously looked into. Clearly the lack of response reflects what they think about their customers. If anybody else has health issues after a meal please post on the reviews and I will make it personal crusade to make them clean up their act.

Buffets are hard businesses to succeed in. Margins are paper thin, turnover can be high and there is often pressure to keep food costs as low as possible. Its obvious this place is doing everything it can to stretch it; the prepared food is bland and watered down, the ice cream cones are for ants, bathrooms are not sanitized well, and possibly worst of all they are obviously skimping on the dishwasher chemicals. Couldnt find a clean glass or tray, and the plates are hit or miss. Unfortunately as this is the only salad bar around they can continue to cut and skimp, charge for the privilege, and they will continue to do business. Ill be going to YCs across the street.

Went in for lunch had decent food and the lemon muffin was great. Though my wife was eating and found a huge hair in her food. It was gross but we spent money here so we drove on. A slow eaten ensued then my wife goes to still my milk. She looks at me with a look of disgust. She taught I might of back washed. I told her it was a fresh glass. At that point we got up to left both disgusted. We stop to inform the manager and all we got was a weak sorry and that there milk has a slipcover. No reason or checking with the milk. Pretty sorry experience, bad management disgusting events... Sad part is their muffins are so good as long as hair doesnt come with it.

The staff here is very friendly, has a nice atmosphere, and from what I could tell they keep everything clean. The food quality was good, and and plentiful. I never needed to wait for more food to come out. They have all my favorite salad toppings, and even a few that I havent tried before. Unfortunately the ice machine was broken, and you had to go to the cashier every time you wanted ice. A minor issue, but annoying. This also isnt your spot if you are on a budget, as it is a little on the pricey side. My kids loved it, as they had at least one thing that each of them found that they were excited about. Overall I would definitely come back.

Sweet Tomatoes succeeds in doing what it aims to in providing a pretty good salad building buffet. The problem is that, for the price of $12, you can go to other salad specific establishments and purchase a filling and higher quality salad. It ia nice if you are into trying a variety of combinations when crafting your salad, but if you are particular in what you like, you can find a place that better suits your needs when it comes to salads. Their are other options aside from salads, the most popular bring their focacia bread which is actually pretty good. Everything else is rather crummy though.

I absolutely can not afford to take my wife and kids here for lunch, and dinner is out of our budget... but every now and again my wife and i do slip away and have lunch together here. I do understand why the price is higher than average here, fresh vegetables, soups, deserts and breads, all you can eat.... I just wish it cost less so we all could enjoy a meal here together. I gave 4 stars because the desert is only out for dinner... and I only eat 1 plate of food when i eat here.

Bad smell coming from a doorway right in the front of the place, soggy watered down Caesar salad. Potato salad that tastes like milk and potatoes. Lack luster soup tastes like its been sitting in the heat for hours. Not much food to church from. Best thing was the soda. Not even half as much options as soupersalad and not even half the quality. Paid 33$ for 2 adults and a 5 year old. Not worth the money. No one asked how every was just an occasional plate be I taken away.

Was below average for a Sweet Tomatoes. We used to frequent another location ask the time and were always impressed with how fresh everything was. We moved to the south east valley and decided to go to this location. There were many examples of food that wasnt as fresh as we desired. Items on the salad bar that were dried out, soup that looked as though it had been there all day with a dried layer on top. We will be looking for another location.
