Location is convenient right off the 202 in the East valley. You smell the dinner rolls baking walking in the door which wets your appetite. The interior was cozy and comfortable. The wait was short even though the place looked busy. The waitress was quick with our drink orders and meals came promptly. She was very nice and friendly. I started with a small bowl of chili as an appetizer. To be honest I could have just had that with the bread and been good. It was so tasty with just the right amount of spiciness. I recommend highly. The salad was fine and baked potato too. So why only three stars? Well, it is a steak house after all and if what I had was an example of what they can do with a piece of meat, its not good. To be fair I didnt order a 30 ounce porterhouse or the most expensive cut on the menu. I just had a basic 12 ounce house steak. A common cut most people would order. I ordered medium but it was very unevenly cooked throughout. And even though I do like some fat, this steak was at least half fat. Not to be conspirial but I think thats why they keep the place so dark. So you cant see what youre eating. I didnt eat a single bite that wasnt mostly fat. I can say with certainty this is the first time I have ever left a steak house with steak still on my plate. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I just got a bad piece of meat. Ive only been there once before maybe a couple years ago and I dont remember any issues. I only remember the bad meals. Either way whoever cooked that steak and sent it out to me should be ashamed.

We eat here all the time and always have a great meal and a great time....but NOT THIS TIME! We ordered two 8oz filets cooked medium. They always come out perfect, full pink in the middle. However, this time they were brought out Done. The food runner apologized and took them back. Our waitress came to check on us and didnt know the situation, we explained and she said she would go check on them. We waited about 20 minutes for the new steaks to come out. By this time our kids were going crazy and ready to leave. We snacked on bread and peanuts because we were hungry. By the time the new steak came out we were full and already fed up and ready to go. My wife mentioned to the waitress were no longer hungry now and her response was a very sarcastic "you can always take them to go". Yeah, we spent $50 on two steak we want to microwave at a later date. WTF! No manager came over to talk to us and offer anything. we were served the bill and she never returned. This is completely unacceptable and even though we enjoy this restaurant I will never go back unless its made right. I contacted Texas Roadhouse on Twitter immediately after about my experience, and I received no response, this happened 4 days ago. Clearly this restaurant does not care about its customers.

I like this chain. Decent steaks, tasty bread starters, and consistent menu. My visit today, however, highlighted the downside you can encounter at Texas Roadhouse. The steak (10oz ribeye) came medium well, even though I ordered it medium. Its not a huge deal, but when you pay $16 for a steak, it should be cooked to order. The other issue is that 50% of the time the steak comes warm but not hot. Again, if I was laying $8 for a cheap steak or understand it not coming piping hot. But this should not be the case here. Another problem with this restaurant is the layout. Some sections of the restaurant are very cold with air conditioning vents blowing directly on the customers. Other sections (corners) are stuffy and hot. Just try to remember to get seated in the middle areas. Finally, one thing that frustrated me when using the restroom was that they dont have towels to dry your hand. No paper or cloth towels. Only an air dryer. Worse, they have skimped to buying the slowest, cheapest air dryers possible. Basically they are incapable of actually drying your hands within a reasonable amount of time. All in all, a disappointment from a restaurant that I actually like their menu.

We chose to dine here on a Monday evening after not visiting for a long time due to poor service. Sadly, nothing has changed. The hostesses were not personable and wanted to seat is with an infant carrier in a booth. We were then rushed through the restaurant and seated in the very back corner. A basket of buns was tossed on the table. No Childrens menus for our two kids and no cutlery. Our server did promptly take our drink order and bring drinks but it has now been ten minuets and we havent seen her again. A rude girl reached over my husbands shoulder to toss his dinner salad on the table and immediately left. She didnt even take the time to stand in front of the table. We were brought wet plates for our bread when we asked for cutlery. Our order was accurately brought to the table by yet another unpleasant good runner. Our server did check for accuracy in a reasonable amount of time. Needless to say we will not be returning.

We went last night (sat.) a little early, to beat the rush and the noise. Generally, I like the food and portions for the price, but there are a few things beginning to develop that makes me think TR and this location in particular ,is going downhill. For the third visit, cutlery has arrived dirty, with a chemical smell. We mentioned this after it was exchanged for a similar bunch and were told thats just the way it was and we had to get extra water and rinsed it ourselves and the waitress couldnt have cared less--just too busy--really. Two napkins were dirty. Main meals were brought while we were only half finished salads and crowded onto the tables. We felt rushed and three times, the waitress came up to the table and interrupted a conversation abruptly to put her two cents worth in without even a slight pause. Again, the food was good, but the combination of the other things made it a bit of a disappointing evening.

I was Going to this place with my family. i ate there... no big deal. Everything was all good and i had an amazing time there as well. However, that night, I had severe headaches and horrible stomach pain. I was constantly gagging up something, but i just swallowed it back down. I go to tell my mom...nothing she can do about it. I wake up for school the next morning with a terrible headache. This issue probably doesnt have anything to do with the food, but there was some other problems as well. When the waitress came out with our food, They completly ignored the fact that my little brother didnt have his food, Considering the waitress came by almost twice to check on us! Im shocked that he didnt realize that my brother didnt have his food. That will and foremost be the LAST time i go there.

We arrived about 4 pm with a party of 16. Several came from out of town, and when we tried to call for reservations earlier in the week, we were told we could not make reservations, we just need to come in. When we got there, I was told that the wait would be about 3hrs!!!!. I tried to split it to two parties of 8, which was still going to be 2 and a half HR wait. On that note, we decided to go elsewhere. We got about 4 miles down the road, when my wifes phone was texted they could take half of the party. WOW!! To bad for them, cause they loss several hundreds they could have made off my party, and my business at that particular location. Word to the wise, if an establishment cant take reservations in advance, go elsewhere. Might consider changing that policy Texas Roadhouse.
