To be brutally honest we only do the occasional take away here because its almost walking distance from home, and, being a creature of habit it seems, I always order the Mongolian Beef which has yet to disappoint me That being said, my general impression is thus; Food - Pretty good, likely loaded with MSG - but for the occasional treat, we enjoy it. Service - Excellent. An attractive, middle aged Chinese lady acts as if shes the one in charge. Usually she appears to be juggling a number of plates in the air while simultaneously greeting new arrivals and saying goodbye to departing ones. Interior - Not really the sort of place youd want to impress anyone, a bit jaded looking . Needs to add a little pizzaz perhaps - or perhaps not..

I have been going here since the new owners bought the place. They have remodeled and have kept it nice and clean! I love the food! It reminds me of a place I grew up with but closed down a few years ago. This is a very nice alternative but with a little twist; they sometimes have their home cooked meals on hand and I always ask to try out some of their dishes! Im a foodie and this place totally satisfies the craving and the curiosity! My fave dishes which i ask to have them done a bit different are the low main, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, walnut shrimp, steamed veggies and egg rolls. Love love this place! Li is the main contact, friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to see you!

Taoyuan. Deserves no stars! Its a disgrace to great Chinese fare. We walked in the place and it smelled musky and moldy. Food was all over the floor as if no one cared to clean. This was at 2pm! No lunch rush hour - no excuses! The lady was rude and abrupt, the "Buffet" which should be called a "Boo-ffet" because its a big laugh, nine items? Seriously? The food on the BOOffet was dried out and was obviously sitting out since opening hour. The atmosphere was very depressing. The previous reviewers who gave this place five stars must be a loyal customers from the moment these people opened the doors 20 years back. It is not what they have described. Take my advice, skip it!

Good environment and very attentive staff but the food left quite a bit to be desired. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and although listed as spicy on the menu, there was no real flavor and certainly was not spicy. I asked the server and he said they had received complaints of being too spicy so they took everything down to plain. He offered to re-make a spicy order and it was delivered and was almost the same...no flavor and no kick at all. Second issue was he ratio of rice to main dish was way off...there was about 1/3 the rice of a normal dish. Wished for a good local spot...but will have to expand my search.

Shockingly terrible of a place. Went at 7:30 on a Friday and night and not a soul was their. The pork was smaller than McDonalds nuggets and was all breading, no meat. Im assuming I just ate food that had been sitting there since opening, as even the white rice was hard and flavorless. The sweet and sour pork was nearly black. I would not recommend this place at all if you can avoid it. Also, the very simple order I made over the phone was incorrect. The pork fried rice was pretty decent though!

Previous post from 4 years ago: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best real homemade Chinese food in town! -- Went in today, 04/24/16 to discover that Judy sold the restaurant and is owned by new owners. We noticed the difference in taste and its not the same. We have been visiting her restaurant since 2005 & have been loyal customers. Sadly, we will not be returning as we travel from South Gilbert for Judys authentic food. We hope the best for the new owners.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had ever. Zero flavor on both dishes. Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken. It seems like we are eating chicken wrapped in pancake batter.. thick batter, small chunks of chicken and the sauce has no flavor.. The fried rice is the same way. Crab puff, the filling is pretty liquidity. My son are 3 bites, he feels Ill from the grease and I am done.. waste of money..

Dirty, dirty, dirty! After eating here a few times it got to the point where I was disgusted by the dirty plates, silverware, and trays. It made me question the kitchens cleanliness, so Im not going back. A number of us used to order takeout, but they put the hot food into Styrofoam containers that end up melting into your food... not something I want to eat!

In today 5/1/16 and sadly my favorite place for Chinese is no more. Seems the owner has sold the place and it shows from the taste of food. I have been coming here for almost 20 years, and sadly, I will never be back. :( Love this place! The best, real chinese food. Great prices. And the owner is so nice, never forgets a face.

Ive eaten there 6 times and the food is consistently very good. The portions are big even for their $5.75 lunch specials. The host, Junjin, is friendly and attentive to your needs. The place is newly remodeled with nice decor and comfortable seating. I like bringing friends with me because I know they will like it.

The food quality went drastically downhill after the original owners sold. Seems the place has changed hands yet again, as the new owners have decided to remove the lunch buffet, which is the only reason Id go. Probably wont be back again.

I dont often leave reviews but this food is delicious! Not to mention the staff was very friendly. After trying this place for the first time after having live here for a month or so, I think I just found my go-to Chinese place.

I was looking for buffet Chinese places to eat in Mesa. This one isnt too bad. Would suggest more of a lunch place than anything else. Could use more selections on buffet menu. The price is outstanding! 6.15 a person is great.
