Damn! Wished I had read THs review first! We left there about an hour and half ago, and had to come give this place a review. If it was even so-so mediocre, I wouldnt even bother posting this to inform everyone! We arrived, got seated quickly, place was half empty (Saturday at 7pm!). 5 minutes later, I stood up and waved to get attention, so guy came over and ask what I need, I said: "a server." 5 minutes later, I walked over to the hostess and asked for a server! 5 minutes later, a server came! I think he probably killed his dog or something, he was totally irritated when we all ordered water...geeze, we had 5 kids, do you really expect that we order 5 gallons of beer? Then he told us that we cant have tempura sweet potatoes, the tempura is preset with whatever they put in it, so we cant change it! Wrong answer buddy! We have been in the restaurant business longer than he has been waiting tables! I ordered seafood udon soup. About 5 minutes later, a waitress brings us our water, she brought one iced green tea, but we ordered two HOT green teas. She tells us that she is now our waitress cus the waiter wanted to switch tables with her, basically he abandon us, wrong move, I was there with the most generous tipper tonight, always tips more than 20%!! My seafood udon soup came out stir fried in a sweet soy sauce, I need a gallon of water to wash that down, so I didnt eat it. The steaks were super salt too, I guess they get salt for free there. The sushi was all smothered in a sweet creamy mayo sauce, thick layer of rice, didnt even see much of the soft shell crab. Basically, super cheap with the fish and stuff, lots of rice, lots of sauce. Didnt refill our water, didnt come to ask if we need anything, didnt come to ask if food was good, we had to wave them over or they didnt come over. BTW, the parking lot was pretty full, but it was half empty inside...dont go, you are better off at Mcdonalds! I would like to give this a 5 DUMPS rating if I can!

Good Food, Bad Service!! My husband I and I heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. On a Sunday afternoon, we went. Upon entering the restaurant, we saw a hostess stand, but wasnt sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves after standing there for more than 5 minutes. The restaurant was not busy and a couple of the servers made eye contact with us, but never came over to see if we needed to be seated. Once, I stepped into the doorway to the dining area and said, "Soooo, are we supposed to seat ourselves?" a hostess came to the stand. Im sorry, but she was rude and not welcoming at all. She did not ask where we wanted to sit and just assumed we wanted to sit in a booth. Before sitting, my husband said, "Can we sit at the grill?" She appeared to be very annoyed that just two people wanted to sit at the grill. After sitting down, we were never asked if this was our first time or if there were any specials. After a while our server came to take our order. We received our soup, but never received our salads. We never got the chance to ask for our salads because she never came back to check on us after giving us our soup. We saw her at the end of our entire meal when she asked us if we needed a to-go box. I must say that our grill master was super friendly and he made up for the poor service of the hostess that seated us and the waitress that half way served us. The food was VERY good!!!! My husband and I will return to this restaurant because of the wonderful food, but if that nasty hostess is there, well just seat ourselves.

Let me Start off By Saying that the Bartender Here is Awesome! Goes by the Name of Robert, More Restaurants need a person like this. This place Has its Busy Times on and Off, First off I d like to Say that the Food Here is Really Good. The Waitresses, and the Sushi chef are not Fast at all Nor do they tell you Exactly when your food will come out. Me and my Fiancé Sat here for about 50 minutes (Yes I timed it), Ordered our food at 7.18 and the food didnt come out till 8.10 Thats a Whole Hour LATER. The Bartender Robert was his name was Very Helpful very Attentive not just with us But with Everyone there at the Restaurant. He was the one that told us there was only 1 Sushi chef and that the food was going to take a little longer. Meanwhile the Waitress Was nowhere to be Found. Over all I liked this place Its Nice good Food But Honestly Id Rather Drive to North Phoenix and get Faster Service From the other Ahso. Props to The bartender though for making the Experience a little better and because of the Hospitality he gave us I didnt feel like complaining. If The Restaurant reads this review Please take into account that you guys were understaffed and there were about 5 tables Experiencing the same Frustration.

The worst service i have had in a long time. Brought my family in to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, and was greeted by the server with a " hey get something to drink" no eye contact "hello, how are we doing?" as we figuring out drinks, he then cut us off waters all around yelld out to another staff member to get our drinks, as we continued to give him our order he then cut us off again and said he was only taking appertizer order right now. I work in the industry and i always put my self in the server shoes, this server just had a bad attitude to the point were younger family felt as if they couldnt ask the server questions. Never asked how anything was!! were i am huge on PLEASE AND THANK YOU!! we would reply politely with please and thank you no response!! i had never the time to write a review and didnt see a manger around to even address our service issues. I would never dine at this location ever again! i would defently recommend the bartender/server with the spike hair and hickey on his neck should find a career in which he enjoys! It was embarrassing and absolutly the most awkward experience!!

Im giving them a star because I had to, not because I want to. My family and I visited this place with high hope and we were disappointed. We waited 3 and half hours for our food and drinks, why didnt we walk out because were patient. The food and drinks all came at least 20- 30 minutes apart, when we complained the manager attacked our lovely, attentive waitress as if it was her fault. ( we told the waitress she was wonderful and she broke down crying) no manager should be this mean, she is a horrible example of management. The manager was rude and took no responsibility for the lack of staffing, she never apologized for the inconvenience, instead she blamed the horrible service on the owner. She clearly does not deserve to be leading a team of great employees that were placed in an awful, short staffed situation. I and my family will never return to this restaurant again! To top it off, we told the manager that my brother was allergic to majo, when we got our order it was full of it, he was about to eat it, when our mom noticed. Shes a complete idiot!
