I have been here on several occasions and had great food and service. Today was NOT one of those times. Server was the biggest issue. She took our order by memory and that, I believe to be, was a big part of where our problem started. So not to bore you I will jump right into the issues. 3 of the 4 who ordered eggs were completely cooked wrong. We ordered over easy and over medium and we all got over hard. We noticed early on and tried waiting for our server but she didnt show until about 25 min later. Not sure where she was as the place is like 500-600 sq ft. When she showed up and asked how everything was I just told her, not in a confrontational tone, that the eggs were overcooked. Her response is what compelled me to write a negative review. She said "I will take the eggs off the bill but you should have told me early on and I would have had them remake the orders". No sorry. Her tone was one of irritation. When I told her that we did try to wait but this was the first time she had been to our table, she replied with " you could have grabbed any server to get this taken care of". Again, her tone was confrontational and irritated. So, here is the issue for me. I wasnt asking for a handout but only providing feedback to take back to the kitchen. Her response was not only taken the wrong way by me but the other adults at the table. Two of which I was raving about the place to. They are from out of town and said they would never go back there. They were offended and embarrassed as to how the waitress spoke to us. BTW when we got her check we noticed there was no note to how everything should be prepared. This is why I would point blame on the server and her memory. That and she never out my daughters fruit cup on the order. Also lends to taking the order by memory. I would have stuck around to speak with the manager but everyone was already uncomfortable and just wanted to go.

Excellent service. Friendly and very efficient. I ordered spinach, tomato, peppers, onions and mushrooms omelette with avocado. It was very good. All the veggies were FRESH! EXCELLENT! My one small criticism is that it tasted like cook had used no salt at all. I rarely add salt at a restaurant, but I did here. The wheat french bread toasted was excellent - the bread comes from a bakery. EXCELLENT! The potatoes were sliced and then lightly fried. They were good, but wouldnt order them again - not worth the calories. I also got one of the highly regarded cinnamon rolls. It wasnt bad, but .... Just not worth the calories. I make cinnamon rolls and some are worth the calories .... I ate two small bites. Meh. Again, not bad, not great enough. Lots of choices of different kinds of omelettes. The french toast looked great. I got here about 7am on a Thursday morning. Very few people there. I could sit wherever I wanted. Service was great. Most of the food was great! What wasnt great was pretty good, just not worth it for me. The prices are reasonable.

At first I thought their prices were a little on the steep side but the portions are so large that it starts making sense that you are getting 2 meals in one sitting. The challenge is remembering to split half on your plate and half on a to-go box to eat for late lunch or dinner. My friend and I got 2 of their daily specials: one bursting with seasonal veggies (squash, onions, asparagus) and goat cheese, and the other filled with green chili and slow-cooked pork. Both had tons of flavors and tasted very fresh. The side of house potatoes was good and so was the toast. We were completely full but still opted to share the cinnamon roll which I am told is not as big as it used to be. The only downside was the 45min wait (outside) since the place is so small and so popular in the restaurant-scarce city of Gilbert.

This is one of the best breakfast/lunch restaurants that I have been to. The service is great. All of the young ladies serving are very polite, attentive, and quick. And the food is always fresh and very tasty. I have tried everything from eggs and biscuits & gravy to a side salad, which is made with baby Romaine, baby spinach, and chopped broccoli, among other normal salad ingredients. I have also had their home made meatloaf, which was excellent. Every dish that I have tried here has been top notch. The one and only downside to the place is that it is quite small therefore, during busy times, one can expect to wait upwards of 45 minutes. That being said, it is only a testament to how great the food and service are.

Very good, basic American breakfast. Nothing fancy here, but thats not their target; hence, the name "Farmhouse". They get it right with a rustic simple decor. Staff immediately greeted us and sat us. Everyone at our table ordered egg dishes. The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The side salsa looked and tasted homemade (yeah!). Freshly squeezed OJ always gets a thumbs up. The café-au-lait caught my eye, but only after I had ordered regular coffee (which was well balanced, medium strength, and not bitter). Service was pleasant and efficient, given that every table was full in this tiny eatery. After we arrived, there were intermittent short lines outside (always a good sign, especially on a weekday).

My wife and myself, along with our son and daughter-in-law ate here this morning (09-28-2014). A nearly perfect breakfast experience. Waitress was friendly and helpful, food was great and the prices were not bad for what we got. Im from North Carolina and am here to visit my son and his wife, so I do not know this place nor the people that work here. I rate this as one of, if not the best restaurant I have eaten in. I actually want to give it 4 3/4 stars but theres no option for that. This is my highest rating ever and they earned it! As a side note, the block of Gilbert Rd that theyre on is also 4 stars for looks. Very clean and Old West looking. Check it out, youll be glad you did.

After living in Gilbert for 12 years, we thought it was about time to patronize this eatery. Country charming, clean and quaint. And by quaint, I mean pretty small... but they make good use of the limited space. I liked the 4 seater counter. One note for newcomers. Dont sit at the booth closest to the front door. We visited on a cold January morning, and the arctic chill that blew in every time someone opened that door, made my nipples stand at attention. Cooled my food off pretty quickly too. I can only imaging how hot it gets during the dog days of summer. The food was good, but I wouldnt purposefully wait longer than a half an hour, due to the liberal portion sizes.

If coming with a group of 5 or 6 expect a long long wait. They seat a table of four and 2 next to each other vs push the table together. Best if coming in a group of 2 for fast service. They had water outside. But they take 30 minites to refill it. Best to come during off peak service. Had a group of 2 and 4 that showed up 40 minites after us are where seated together. Tried talking with the manager and they refused to point that person out. The dint even try to make it right. Saying its normal for multi groups to be seated before a group of 6 and close together. Bottom line head next door to liberty market for better and friendly service
