Not worth the visit youll get better food & service at an Olive Garden. Food including appetizers was mediocre at best. The calamari while cooked well was from frozen and the kitchen staff had minimal work to prepare to which they then dredged it in salt. We got a mix of items all of which were poor quality (we specifically asked about the tomatos instead asking the kitchen manager was asked and said they were great to they were watery and bland). The pan seared steak was covered in flour and not seared (so much flour that we peeled it off with the fork) or good quality meat. They put so much sauce on the steak and the chicken marsala to mask in our opinion the lack of making quality food (just throw more sauce/gravy on it). The gnocchi tasted more like mashed potatoes than anything else. The vegetables were so overly seasoned we had to "wash" off the seasoning by scrapping it off with our knives and then running it in the same and scraping off the sauce. Every single member of the staff wasted so many steps it was mind boggling how anything was accomplished. We had to tell them we wanted an appetizer to which the waitress walked away cane back 5 m later to take that order and then when she returned with the food didnt take out dinner order left again with us trying to hold menus and juggles plates and appetizers which were placed in front of one of our party. They did box up the uneaten food which we didnt want and said as such but were ignored. They boxed them up in cheap styrofoam containers that leaked out the liquid though the restaurant does have crimp metal contains w plastic lids to avoid the this problem. Do not go not sure how they are reviewed so well.

This is a pretty small Italian restaurant directly across from the Crown Plaza San Marcos Resort. The interior was nice. It had stone walls and nice lighting. I could have done without the obviously fake orange trees, but over all it was clean and cozy. It took a little while for my server to come to my table. Once he arrived he was friendly and helpful. He recommended a few dishes. He kept my drink refilled and check on me often. Overall the service was good. The meal had a great start with some fresh and hot rustic bread that was server with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I ordered the Bocconcini all Prosciutto appetizer which is baked fresh mozzarella cheese wrapped in prosciutto top with mushrooms and bread crumbs. It sounds great, but was just okay. I would try something else. For my main dish ordered the Saltinbocca alla Romana which is veal medallions topped with mozzarella and prosciutto (I know too much like the appetizer). The veal medallions were great and the vegetables were good. I thought there was a little too much fresh parsley over the dish. One of biggest complaints I have is about their menu. I would have like to be able to order a pasta and main dish together since I was dining alone (being across from a Hotel I would assume they get a lot of parties of 1). Instead all their pastas come alone and their entrées come with vegetables (which were good).

La Stalla gets one star for ambiance. Rustic decor, soft lighting, charm lost once we sat down to butcher paper table covering. My wife and I went here for a birthday dinner date. I made the mistake of ordering the chefs special (which I now think is code for experimental dish). It was a smoked meat, thinly sliced and wrapped around itself. The description sounded great, it looked ok. The flavor was so smokey I couldnt finish it. I desperately tried since I had paid a good amount of cash for it. My wifes dish was better--she got the gnocchi. The flavor was good on hers but it was so underwhelming for the price. Regarding the service--we were sat immediately and the place was never busy. The rate of service would have suggested otherwise. Glasses were not refilled and any request needed to be made a minimum of twice to get it fulfilled. This became an even bigger issue when we saw our server attempting to hide behind a post while she checked her phone. We were incredibly disappointed. We will never go here again and would encourage everyone to find another local spot to support unless La Stalla radically ups their game.

Maybe this was an off night but our waiter verged on rude and disinterested. When we got the main course my grandsons pizza was dripping grease and my daughters pasta was over salty. My meat was not medium and despite sending it back it still reappeared v rare and again very salty veggies. After we had finished as plates were removed he asked how my mostly uneaten meal had been I said it was pretty unacceptable. He didnt say anything to me but spoke to a female manager on his way back to the kitchen...she glanced in our direction and rolled her eyes. At no time did anyone approach or apologize and when the check arrived my meal was still on it. There was also an incident with a glass of water that my son in law asked to be refreshed... the waiter just gave him my grandsons water that my grandson had already been drinking from. I can only assume this place gets its rating because their regulars like rude inconsiderate treatment and wouldnt recognize good food even if they were able to find it here.

Came here with my Dad and husband. Meal portion was very over priced with small amount of food.Meat had no flavor.Took forever for the 3 meals to be served even though they were not incredibly busy. My dads meal tasted like meat with noodles and chicken noodle broth from a can. My husbands meal tasted similar (like chicken broth).we didnt send back our food because of how long it took.Ill just say it was edible but not satisfying.Mostly old folks here.Got real loud after about an hour.Seating is hard as a rock. They probably dont want guests to stay long.If thats the case, they should serve food quicker than an hour. Our bill for two was $80 bucks. The bread is the best thing about this place if I had to choose. Wont come back here again.Thats for sure.Ill stick with the excellent service and fair food portions at Angry Crab or Red Lobster when Im willing to spend $80.

Dont come here. Rude. Dismissive. Judgmental. We tried to eat here tonight but received absolutely terrible service before we were even sat. We arrived early and asked to be sat but fully understood when we were told that this was not going to happen. The hostess was extremely rude and treated us like an inconvenience. The hostess also provided us with numerous eye rolls and blatant avoidance throughout our entire stay. We saddled up to the bar ($8 for a vodka soda!); the bartender was less than helpful as well. There were empty tables throughout the restaurant. At our reservation time, they still wouldnt seat us because another party was 25 minutes late for their reservation. How this correlates with our reservation is still a mystery to me.... Our party of 9 ended up leaving and going to a locally owned restaurant right down the road. Avoid!

Our experience here was awful, we are usually pretty happy diners but our waiter was really unprofessional and rude. Not only did he roll his eyes when we asked him to repeat one of the specials but the service was painfully slow and my dish tasted extremely salty. When he asked if i had liked it I said no and that was it for me but then he huffed and snatched the plate, said something to the manager?? I dont know 100% who she was but then SHE rolled her eyes!!! All I said was no I had not enjoyed my meal, I wasnt looking not to pay I just didnt enjoy it. There were other issues but it was a pretty upsetting experience, I honestly would have rather spent half the money and gone to Olive Garden.
