This is my favorite restaurant! Ive even made special trips just to come here (two and a half hour drive). Ive had nearly every type of saag they offer and theyre all so good. The chicken tikka masala, korma and samosa are all very good as well. I was also very pleased with the lunch buffet. Ive only been there once during this time and it was pretty crowded. This is not only the best Indian cuisine Ive had but the most reasonably priced as well. Every other Indian place Ive been to costs about double the price for roughly the same amount of food. Its also BYOB, with a beer/liquor store conveniently located next door. Enjoy!

When we go to eat food in restaurant we also go for experience, but the experience I had is horrible. There is a woman, who is also owners sister, works there. She is very very rude. She treats customers like trash. In her dictionary - there is no sorry, no apology. Seems she was not able to get out of south Asian culture - like This is our business, and we are the god. I had good impression about Nepalese people before, but not after encountering this woman. Mobile needs a true Indian restaurant for sure where guests would be treated like "Atithi Devo Bhava".

One of my favorite places in Mobile, and I eat here frequently, whether it be for dinner, lunch buffet, or take out. Food is always flavorful and consistent, service is always friendly and fast. My most ordered dishes are the Vegetable Korma or the Saag Paneer, fairly standard dishes but Yak does them so dang well I keep coming back to them. However I also love the Shahi Paneer and the Chow Mein, amongst numerous other dishes. No matter what you order youll get bold, strong flavors.

Really like this place. Their food is consistently good. The inside is a little run down. Favorites: Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Coconut Curry, Malai Kofta, and Lamb Vindaloo. We often get take out. They do not serve alcohol but are happy for you to bring your own, or just stop in next door at the package store for a wide assortment of beers and wines. No corking charge. Lots of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes

Its one of the worst buffets I have ever been too. The buffet sucks, very less items on the buffet and they have leaky ceilings. And its costs 10.45 and putting that much money into it is not worth it. And the dessert.... sorry there are not desserts and if there are they taste horrible. And the service is horrible too !!! And what Im finally saying is this shouldnt be a restaurant.

My wife found this place on an app as we were driving and made me go against my will. We ordered food to go since we had our dogs and ate it at a rest stop. I looked at the food and thought I will need to stop somewhere else. But it tasted amazing, I tried the wifes and it was also out of this world. We will stop here again the next time we pass through the area.

Very good food; you will not be disappointed! Ive been going there since they first opened and the recipes have not changed one bit. Thats a good thing! The only thing that has changed is the price. Unfortunately, if they continue to increase their prices and continue to give us the same sized portions, I will no longer be able to recommend.

Incredible food (slow service unfortunately). The food was amazing, particularly the chicken Tikka masala. Incredible flavors! Service wise we waited 20+ minutes after ordering when our server came out and let us know they had run out of rice. All in all it took 40 minutes to get our food, but hopefully that was just a rare occurrence.

Service was so horrible that I wouldve given no stars if it was possible. The server never asked if we needed anything. She never asked if we needed any drinks. She argued with us when we had a complaint about the food. She was not friendly at all. We have eaten here many times but we will not be coming back.

Buffet was over so we ordered NapalI style foods rather than traditional Indian curries. It was very good, each order was customers made for us so it took a little while, but treated it like a multi course meal sharing each dish as it was brought. We will be back.

Fantastic food. Im a big fan of the Lamb Masala or the Lamb Koorma. Also, the Samosa Chat is a fantastic appetizer to share or devour. The curry is good too. Basically, what I mean to say is, everything Ive eaten there (and Ive had more) has been delightful.

Delicious lunch buffet for only $8. Great selection of scrumptious vegetarian dishes. Also meat and chicken dishes if youre into that. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Have been there several times and will continue to go back.

Delicious. I am new to the area and was skeptical to try most places, but am glad I found this spot. We like to get the vegetable coconut korma and chicken chowmein with naan on the side. Its great, flavorful comfort food

Always the best! Our favorite restaurant in Mobile. (Even proposed to my wife there.) Everything is great, but especially try the fish tikka masala. The best value is the biryani. Its dinner Anns the next lunch going me.

Divine Indian and Nepalese. Everyone who goes here loves it, even people who are normally not very adventurous with their foods! My favorites are the chicken tikka masala, the malai kofta, and the coconut chicken korma.

Had the Chow Mei noodles and they were amazing, not your regular noodles. And no not Chinese noodles Nepal noodles. Will definitely be back this way at one point. Lucky I found the place and Google of course

Food was awesome but service not so good. They only had one person responsible for checking out, serving the tables and managing the food line. Will go again. Hopefully, service gets improved by then.

Normally not a fan of anything located in a strip shopping center, but the food is delicious and the service is friendly. Ethnic food helps fill a gaping hole in Mobiles cuisine landscape.

Every experience weve had at Yak has been wonderful. Every dish has been delicious. I especially appreciate that they are willing to make so many dishes vegan, upon request.

The food was not as spicy as I expected and a bit bland. They messed up one of our orders. Although for the price its good. I recommend taking out your order than dining in.

This place has the most amazing food. The Indian selection is wonderful and I have ordered much of what they offer. My newest favorite is chicken Malai kabob. So oooo good.

I believe Yak is the best Indian restaurant in Mobile. I have been many times. The buffet is generally well stocked and the crowd is big enough to generate timely refills.

Hands down the best Indian and Nepalese food in Mobile. The buffet is great, though I prefer ordering from the menu to get items not typically not available on the buffet.
