Absolute waste of money. The brewed coffee was bland, bland, bland! Like unbelievably BLAND! Worst zucchini bread Ive ever had. Might as well have been carrot bread. Weird flavor, terrible texture, and literally GREASY! Disgusting waste of money for both, served up by your typical annoying barista snobs, in an uninviting atmosphere. I literally feel tainted by such a gross experience. But go figure, as soon as I walked out the door here came a flock of yupsters who think its the coolest place to start their day. Yeah, they can have it.

Difficult to find well balanced central/south american blends, that resonate with earthy, sweet and subtle tones of the various regions. Only visiting for the weekend from San Francisco, I highly recommend Extracto Coffee to anyone who has already fell in love with these medium roasted, nostalgic flavored beans from south of the border.!!! Staff was knowledgeable, and had honey.!!! Coffee w/honey, no cream. Brings the earth to your tastebuds!!!

Although Ive lived in the neighborhood for years, I recently found Extracto. I think their coffee is better that Stumptowns. It makes for a fabulously complex latte. If you like iced coffee, they dont just brew a pot and stick it in the fridge. They use the toddy method that makes a strong coffee that stands up to melting ice. If theres a line, it will go quickly but if you want a table, you better get there early.

Latte art did not disappoint, and the coffee had an excellent aroma and flavor. I also tried a Queen of Sheba Chai, which was good. The atmosphere, though, was kind of conflicted. Tables felt kind of cramped, and overall it seemed to lack the kind of warmth that I so appreciate with my coffee. This cafe was missing a "welcoming" and comfortable quality in the environment.

El cajero no fue muy amable, pretendió cobrar $2 usd por un vaso de agua, hasta q el administrador intervino y no lo cobro (el agua tap es usualmente gratis en EU).

Fist off they have amazing roasts, and their coffee is fantastic... but I really felt like I needed to write a review of their iced toddy. I didnt know it could be this good. It was malty, sweet, with hints of caramel and chocolate. not overpowering at all, it was just right. I will be coming here all summer for this delicious cold brewed coffee.

Love this place. Theyve been killing it on the coffee buying lately and really dial in their roasts before offering them up for sale. Great drinks, every single time, from their cafe and the staff knows their stuff. With so much great coffee in Portland, I feel a little guilty coming back here time and time again, but theyve earned the business.

Awesome environment for whatever youre doing: Ive come here for biz meet ups, read books to my kids over hot chocolate, and solopreneur worked at my keyboard with a cappuccino and one of those tiny squares of chocolate (try Philippines). Also, forget your pencil? They offer free pencils and have a REAL sharpener!

What a disappointment. I wanted some cream heated, and I was told that I’d be charged 50 cents. (Note that I come here nearly every day). My first reaction was to say “take it out of the $1 tip I just left you”, but I restrained myself. I’ve been getting dirty looks ever since. I will not come here again.

Extracto Roasters is still my favorite coffee shop in Portland. Ive only been to this store once (I usually frequent the Prescott location), but the coffee was just as good as Ive come to expect. This shop seems to have more room and tables, and quite a few customers working on laptops.

Amazing experience here. This spot quickly became my daily go to for my java. They roast in house and are super friendly, not to mention there coffee is flipping outstanding. They seem to have a nack for understanding the beans and roasting them just right. Cant go wrong here

Great atmosphere. Friendly owners, quick and skilled baristas. If you get the chance get some beans roasted here. "Mexico la yorba Natural process" is uncanny how much fruity sweet flavor is packed in.

Nice feel & good coffee. Iced toddy is smooth, not bitter. It is my #1 favorite drink in the summertime. Food selection is limited and mostly super sweet but I dont go there for the food.

Delicious coffee! Hand made Americano was great and you could really taste the richness of the beans without being burnt. They also sell lots of different types of coffee makers.

This is the best place in town. My Latte fevers go way too hot and here it is not as bad for too longs. Also best pastries and gifts of bags of coffee.

Delicious noteworthy coffee from the urn plus a free refill! Good ol Northwest coffeehouse style decor. The whole thing is simply done very well.

Nice, relaxed vibe. Plenty of space to hang out or work. I would prefer the latte to be stronger so next time I will have to try a smaller size.

Great coffee! They were friendly, had great tasting coffee with latte art, and it was a nice atmosphere to sit and work or talk with friends.

Great people, great environment, average coffee. Maybe I got a bad cup? Love the place and would pay for a cup just to sit and chill.

Beautiful space, delicious coffee, and serious pastries. Try the single origin chocolate mocha, and any of the goodies from Bakeshop.

They roast their own. Also, they care about the community, and locals love them. Want to see your neighbors? Youll find them here.

Coffee was so-so. The latte art was very pretty though, mine had a flower! I likely wouldnt go out of my way to come here again.
