Ive been eating at the restaurant for years, it has been through a couple name changes. I have always been happy with the food and service. I had not been there since it became Zapatas and checked it out 05/2015. The menu is great: its readable for those with reading issues, great photos, and has new, unique items. We tried a couple things: street tacos, Zapatos tacos, and the ceviche appetizer. Thrilled with all of them. We love El Vaquero and Abuelos but found this food to be better. Plus, their own brew for an unbeatable price. We did use a coupon, with no questions. We also sat on the patio and enjoyed the evening sun. Service was great too! Pickerington, Ohio is lucky to have this gem with great food at a great price.

2-25/2017 830pm This isnt good food. Its average at best. I wouldnt come back. I have tried all over this city and if you want some real good Mexican food, go get cultured, make some friends and hope they invite you over for dinner one day. There is a decent one waaaayyy up by Dublin I go to from time to time Id better just stick to them. Tried to give some local stuff by me a shot and 256 just has crappy restaurants all up and down it. The simple fact that soooo many people give this place a good rating must mean they do not get out much nor have any friends that could make them authentic food.

The food was good. However, I stood in the front for about 5 minutes without any acknowledgement. When I said I was picking up a order the young man told me to go to the bar. I stood there another 3 min before he said he had to find the guy to check me out. Another 3 min goes by and he said he found him. Instead of the guy coming to check me out, a girl that had seen me standing there the whole time checked me out. 3 people saw me standing there and didnt try to help at all.

This is my husband and my favorite mexican restaurant ever, I am from San Diego and it use to be such a ordeal to find authentic mexican food, once we found Zaptas we have looked no further, the food is amazing, and very generous servings, the service is always fantastic! The summer time is fun to sit outside and dine, its always a treat when they have music. We try to dine at Zapatista at least once a week. Very clean and very nice bar area.

We went here when our dinner plans fell through. Best surprise of the day. Very nice atmosphere (we ordered to go by the way) with friendly people inside. We had a few pints while we waited, which were $2 a piece and it was good beer, not watered down yellow beer. The food was outstanding and filling. Spice mix is good and shrimp was cooked just right.

For being something of a hole-in-the-wall this place was shockingly good. The Chimichanga was okay but the Tacos al Pastor [pork w/ pinapple/onion/cilantro] was amazing. Very similar to the Gringas from Los Guachos. Drink options were okay, could stand to do a better beer selection but Price/Quality/Quantity were pretty solid for food. Will be back.

Food is ok except they always get the order wrong and then argue with you that its right. When a manager asks you what do you want me to do, well that about says it all. So folks check your food before you leave if your getting it to go.

Good flavors, friendly servers, but be prepared to wait for a table if you go on the all you can eat taco night like I did. Great prices. Too many TVs for my taste but your mileage may vary.
