We haven’t eaten there for 14 yr or more and we sat in the rain trying to decide if we were going to try it again. It is located on Spring Hill Drive next to where the post office used to be near Cass Circle. It has that scary old Spring Hill aura from outside. We did choose to try and both of us had the best Mexican dinner we have had in all the area in the time we have lived here. I lived in CA 20 yrs and my husband lived in Texas so we have expectations when it comes to Mexican food. The new owners have been there one year and they are nice young family people. The sauces were delicious and the chips and salsa, which I usually find too hot to eat, had some heat but not so much I couldn’t enjoy. We ate every bite and are looking forward to returning. It is not fancy and neither is the food but it was yummy.

I love love love good Mexican food and this place didnt disappoint, havent had anything so good since we left Texas. My wife is a chile rellenos fanatic and she went wild over theirs, I tried it the next time we went in and she was absolutely right! Ernesto (believe he maybe the owner) greets you with a smile, you get chips and salsa right away and the food comes piping hot with very little wait. The service and food are top notch. Were going to try to get there at least once every 2 weeks, we need our "fix" by then! Thank you El Ranchito for a wonderful time!

This place says "Best Mexican Food in Town" as a REALTOR my schedule is never the same. This allows me to try Mexican restaurants all over the Tampa Bay area. I stopped in here for a quick lunch. The service was superb and the lunch fajitas (for only $9.00) were excellent and a great value! I can honestly say I agree with their quote / motto. Spring Hill offers a variety of Latin dining options they didnt compare to this place! Ill be back - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We have been there twice now. They are always wonderful, friendly and fast. Food is very good. Today we went for lunch. There was a lady eating lunch with two other ppl. The one lady was cursing like a sailor. My husband and I decided to eat outside because I was going to say something to her. It was very rude of her to be cursing so loudly. Every three words were foul. I am glad we did go outside, It was beautiful out.

If you know what real Mexican food is then I wouldnt suggest this place. I see people saying this is authentic and thats absolutley false. The chips break too easily (definitley bought at walmart) and the salsa is just tomatos. Also the tortillas are cold and not fresh.. you pay extra for "extra side" of rice but its like a half a scoop. Nothing authentic about this place

This place is excellent. Really good Mexican food. The fajitas are out of this world. The food is really tasty and you will love the seasonings. It is a nice family owned restaurant, so you get really homemade food. And good desserts too, I had the flan and it was divine. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Friendly and courteous staff also, I will be back for sure.

El Ranchito is a great little and local Mexican chain with a few locations around Hernando county. They have amazing chips and salsa! The chicken quesadillas are very good; crispy, filling and very reasonably priced. The staff is very nice. I go to the Spring Hill and Brooksville places a lot and theyre both excellent. Id highly recommend going if you havent already.

Found this place a few months ago. Was really disappointed in all of the other Mexican restaurants in the area until we tried this place! The food has been fantastic each time we have ordered. Dont let the location keep you away (Kass Circle), you shouldnt judge a book by its cover anyway. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I just went for the first time tonite. Sweet atmosphere, great staff, had some nachos to start, good stuff but the best thing of the nite was this meal for two called a volcano .. something or another..OMG excellent, to die for.. highly recommend this place. We will go back for sure! Great food.

I had the opportunity to come to Spring Hil FL to visit friends and we came to have lunch at El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant. The food was amazing. We ordered el volcano and the favor is amazing and the price was affortable. I highly recommend this place to you. I will come back for sure.

My husband and I go to the Ranchito in New Port Richey whenever were in the mood for Mexican food, and weve never been disappointed. In fact, we often wonder why the place isnt busier. I always enjoy my food, weve had consistently good service, and its clean. Cant ask for more than that!

Our waitress was very friendly, but there were some menu discrepancies - the dish I ordered didnt say there would be beef on it (Im vegetarian) and my fiancés dish arrived with a salad that also hadnt been listed on the menu. So just be careful if you have dietary restrictions etc.

Diane was our server she was very warm and funny we asked for no beans and when our combos came she said with a big smile on her face and said here are your combos with extra beans!!!. Highly recommended if you want great home made food you have to check this place out fantastic.

Best Mexican restaurant me and my family have ever been in. The chips and salsa are fresh and homemade. The food comes out in no more than 10 minutes the fajitas are amazing they come out steaming hot with rice beans and a small salad and service is always outstanding.

We Love it!........ Since moving here from California, I have been searching for Authentic Mexican Food....I FOUND IT! The Mole sauce was amazing..The service is great..what a wonderful place for the family and a night out w/friends. Try the Shrimp Cocktail!! YUMMMM!

Great service, friendly staff and owner. Complimentary chips and yummy salsa came out immediately. The guacamole was delicious! We had the number 45, nice flavor and just enough heat. Frozen margaritas were super refreshing. Cant wait to go back.

My wife and I ate here with our 2.5 year old and 9 month old. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. We ordered the chicken Chimichanga and the tostada. We would eat here again, when we visit Spring Hill.

They food really bad its no way mexican they dont even have hot sauce, the season they use for their meats is bad it gives it a flavor and they dont have everything they offer in their menu.. I dont recommend it to any one..

Excellent food, way better than the others I have tried here. They even took the time to make an off menu dish from my favorite Mexican restaurant back in Virginia. Seems family owned and well priced with good portions!
