Being told closing time was 11 from a few people at work, I stopped by 10 to 11 with a friend from out of town. The lights were off but the open sign was illuminated. There were also employees in the back who noticed us confused by the front window and continued to look at us numerous times with no response or help at all. They left out the back a few minutes later and left us hanging. We questioned the open sign and they were rude about it. Too bad the ice cream is so good, because the service could definitely be better. 5 star icecream, 1 star service

Custard is fine. Prices are a bit expensive for the cone sizes. Especially when they didnt actually put any custard IN the cone. My cone was empty, just topped with custard. Peanut butter sauce is ok, but not fabulous. Save your money and travel to East Coast Custard instead. Their prices are lower enough to make up for the extra gas.

Great local soft serve ice cream and great cooked to order burgers. Theyll even put candy "eyes" on the cones for the kids! 25 cent carousel for the little ones, picnic table seating, some under cover. Old fashioned putt putt immediately behind Dairy Island in same parking lot. Welcome to small town life ;) - long time family business

Nice place for ice cream on Washington street. It is fun to go to the putt-putt behind Dairy Island and get ice cream afterwards. Great place for groups to meet up or local sports teams to visit after a game.
