Been there fro brunch a few times. It is cute and cozy, welcome addition to the neighborhood. Waiters are a hit or miss, although they are all polite and sweet, some of them dont know what they are doing. Once a waiter did not know how to mix a steak tartare and was trying to serve us a semi-finished glop of meat. The other time a different server did not know what a Kir was- really, in a French restaurant? After much explaining they said they got it, and then they came back with a Kir royal.Go figure. Otherwise, food was always pretty good, albeit nothing out of what you would expect in a French bistro. Bar looks attractive with a group of seemingly happy locals. Atmosphere is always nice and it looks like a great place to bring a visitor out of town for brunch. This place has a good chance to be great in case they work out their service kinks.

On a hot summer day I was sitting at the bar, which had a few patrons. I perused the menu, expecting a glass of water. It did not come. When I was asked what do I want to order, I asked for a glass of water, and the gentleman next to me ordered wine. The gentleman received his wine and I was asked what do you want to order from the menu. I had to ask again for water. As the gentleman next to me ordered from the happy hour menu I was alerted to the fact that there was a happy hour menu. Kudos to the gentleman sitting next to me for alerting me to the happy hour menu. The food is scrumptious, however, sub-par service can make any customer feel unwanted even if theyre dressed in a suit.

There are so many great French places in NYC, but this is not one of them. However, its the only one in that area and it is not bad, either. It offers classic, popular French dishes like crepes (only made on weekdays) and Croque Monsieur. Its a little more expensive than the decor suggests, with its peeling newspaper-wallpapered walls and albums-as-menu--about $22-30 for an entree. Portions are reasonable, but not overly generous in size. They make a point to hire French-speaking servers, and the service is brusque but efficient enough. Its fine, but it is not a place I would go out of my way to go back to.

They now offer a grab-and-go coffee and breakfast bar. You can get pastries like croissants and muffins and any coffee beverage. Theyre very accommodating - I asked for an iced dirty chai and even though they had never heard of it, they made it for me with my instructions. Unfortunately, this place is way to pricey to have breakfast every morning. A small coffee - that you pour yourself - is nearly $3! The croissants are $3-5 and a bagel is 2-5 depending on what you have with it. Still - its very convenient because its right about the train station entrance!

Maison Harlem exemplifies the ideal romantic restaurant with its rustic, but charming decor, dim lighting and ambient tunes. Though Maison Harlem serves as evidence of Harlems emerging high-end dining scene, among other things, it is truly worth the price. The food here, French fare, exquisite. At the same time, the servers are absolutely wonderful and accommodating. We had a three course meal and were deeply satisfied. The kale salad, as plain as it sounds, was incredibly seasoned and the wine selection is just as good.

Ive been at the Masion and also have ordered food from them. On site te customer service was ok, the food wasnt bad. However ordering from this place is not good. I order a burger and a kale salad accompanied by a sofa. The burger was supposed to be medium but came in well done and very dry; the cheese was dry... everything about this burger was bad. The kale salad was ok but the soda was not cold. I feel very disrespected by these guys. I did not ask for free food. I paid and tipped the delivery guy very well for this.

If you find yourself getting off the A/B/C/D at 125th street on a Sunday morning, stop in for brunch. This place loads you up with delicious food, while not breaking the bank (entrees run in the $13-$22 range). I can personal attest that Eggs Benedict and the like are always perfectly runny, and come with a salad and delicious breakfast potatoes. There is a small area for outdoor seating - sit there on a nice day. Its fun to people watch since the sidewalks are not as crazy and swarmed like they are further downtown.

Its great food in Harlem. Lots of items to choose from and the plain croissants are deeeeelicious. However its kid friendly which means someone will be squeezing their kid and stroller into the already compact dinging space and expecting you not be upset about it. Its usually really busy on the weekends so making a reservation is you best bet, but even then people like to sit and talk so you may still end up waiting. I love the Mac and cheese!

Nice little restaurant in Harlem that served French and American food. The staff was friendly and my food was brought out quickly and served hot. I ordered an omelette with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. It came with a side of a salad and home fries (potatoes). The food tasted good but it was a little oily. The portion size was good for the price. The bathrooms are clean and kept well stocked.

I had the cauliflower gratin and the cheese on top was hard and gross. I also had the sausage trio and it was decent, but nothing to write home about. The worst part of the experience was the terrible service by our waiter. We ended up not ordering desert as he barely came by to check on us. My boyfriend had to complain to the manager before we even got our check. Not coming back here again!

Who allows customers to hold bar seats for people who havent even arrived! I circled the block looking for parking for a good 15 minutes. Only to be turned away because the one seat that was remaining was being HELD! Ive been trying to eat there for a couple of years but could NEVER find parking. Well, I hope their poor judgement was worth it because I will not go there ever again.

O ambiente é legal, o menu é interessante, o atendimento é bom. Pedimos um frango com purê e achamos mediano, mas acho que o lugar vale outra visita pra conferir.

If youre last trip to the ihop left you feeling cold and empty inside, check out Maison Harlem. The Eggs Nordique was delicious with fresh smoked salmon and a generous, but not excessive amount of hollandaise. On the side, hashbrowns with caramelized onions, and a small mixed greens salad. The food is great and the service top notch!

Went here with my labmates to celebrate a colleagues graduation. The food was delicious. I had the demi pocket with a side salad. The chicken was wonderfully prepared but was served with a meaty au jus that I couldve done without. Be forewarned about the loud music- it makes conversing with your group difficult.
