This place has gone down hill and the latest issue that I faced indicates that it has hit the bottom. I ordered two take out dishes, Masala Dosa and a combo dish (idlis+vada). When I went to pick up, the manager was in argument with a customer on the phone. I ignored the issue, paid for my take out and came home, only to find that the amount of sambar and chutney was barely sufficient for 1 dish (either the masala dosa or the combo). I called the establishment and the same manager answered. His attitude was that there is enough sambar and he started asking for dimensions of the package! As if anyone would want to extract more than what they need for their meal. I basically hung up once he started down the path of asking for dimensions of the package. Basically, many of these establishments lack customer service and do not realize the long term impact. I am 100% certain that they would gain more business if to begin with they size the side dishes properly. When the customer orders two dishes give two separate accompanying side dishes and hopefully adequate quantity for each dish. Why assume that the take out order is a shared order? My previous review was very positive, however I now say customers should go to 1) Dosai Place in E. Windsor or 2) Sarvan Bhavan on Princeton-Heightstown road

One of my colleagues said this restaurant has Dosa buffet every Wednesday night and they have 25 varieties of dosas. I decided to take my family to this place as we all are dosa lovers but the problem was it was around 38 mi away from home so going just for dinner to this place didn’t make sense. Last Wednesday I had to visit a friend in Chesterfield, NJ and we decided to try this place. As soon as we went in, a person greeted us with a big smile and showed us a table. He greeted everyone with a smile and I think he knew most of the customers personally. We sat and the waiter came and asked whether we want to go for dosa buffet or thali. We didn’t have to listen to the other option and we said “dosa buffet”. He got us the dosa menu which had 25 varieties. Me and my wife together tried 8 varieties of dosas and except for Mysore Masala and Podi Dosa liked everything else. My daughter who is going to be 2 liked Ghee Roast very much. Sambar was good and chutney was also very nice. I think they can maintain it better which might bring in more crowd. My Ratings: Taste: 4 star Service: 5 star Ambiance: 3 star Cleanliness: 3 star Rest Room: 2 star

My boyfriend and I come here very often four/five times monthly. My bf is from south India and says the food tastes very authentic. We have been visiting this restaurant even before it switched locations. Even our friends who dont live in the area request to come here when they visit. We love the food but noticed recently the waiting time has increased greatly. We were there last night for near an hr before we got our starters. We had to cancel our main course because it had been so long we were running late for a movie we had already purchased tickets for. The servers are great very nice guys who are working really hard but they need more help. From what we noticed the customers have increased probably because of the good food but the employees have not. We definitely recommend this restaurant but make sure you leave enough time.

We went there last year 2014 July long week end when return from New York and on the the way to VA. I was always thinking about writing review, but today I found time to do it. My elderly mom and my kid really wanted some idly. I thought we cant get since we already crossed jersey city and Edison. When we were looking for some South Indian restaurant this came across in google and I thought it is going to be yet another ordinary Indian restaurant. Not crowded. Only very few customers. But the food and service really changed my mind. Surprisingly this one is like pure vegetarian hotel we see one like in chennai. My kids, parents and wife loved the food. Especially the fresh idly. I will go again when I am in NJ.Real vegetarian hotel.. Loved it...

It is the worst experience I ever had with any resturant till date. I want to place a takeout order so I gave a call to resturant. He is so impatient and arogant while answering some basic questions. He was not even allowing me to talk arguing with me instead. I even tolerated that. I went to the resturant to pick up the order. He took the order wong and saying that I did not communicated well with him. He is also lying that he repeated the order to me which he didnt. I suggest the adminstration to have a professional at the front desk to greet customers and receive orders. If this continues I am sorry to say this but your business will be down.

Dosa night was way too much fun. The dosas we chose were DELICIOUS and came out fast and crispy. The Semiya Kesari dessert (included in the price) was such a lovely end to huge tasty dinner. We all were so incredibly full by the time we left. All the staff members were very friendly, smiley, and they really appeared to care about the customers. The restaurant itself isnt especially beautiful but the relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and lovely people are the real reasons to go. Overall- Highly recommended. Completely worth $11.95.

Went there about 8:30 on Sat night. Restaurant was about half full. Placed a take out order and told them I would wait. It took 50 minutes for my order to be filled, with the hostess making empty promises every so often about how it would be right out. I saw many tables of four get food one person at a time, and many people seemed disgruntled. One familys father didnt get any food until after his wife and kids were done. The food was tasty, but I wont go back for that service and time commitment.

A casual eatery. The service provided is sloppy and the owner insists on signing up for their rewards program mentioning we can accrue points we can use for our future purchase. The caveat: use the same card at time of signing. This is not mentioned at the time of sign up. No one would remember the card used at time of purchase and you happen to never use their so called rewards. The food is good and a good take out option I would suggest.

Agree that customer service was horrible. I checked the opening time online before heading over and the door was open only to be told they didnt open for another half an hour. I was invited to wait and watch them arrange flowers on the floor. Sorry, if Im hungry I want food, not a performance. Tried to email to point out the error and instead of a response I was added to the mailing list!

The windowsills were not clean, fake plants, ugly bathroom. Their storage "room" is open for viewing pleasure. Waiters are clumsy and tables are inconsistent. Exposed wiring and the TVs have no real use. Holes in the ceiling and walls, bad paint color for the walls. Ugly fonts are used on the posters and ads. Even though the restaurant has many flaws, their food was good.
