Bait and Switch experience they do not stick to their contract or what theyve told you- I had my engagement ceremony here. I was planning the event from California so after the first visit I managed everything virtually. I finally arrived the night before the event and I went in to meet them to make sure everything would work out the way we had planned. It was then that they started to refute things we had explicitly discussed (for instance they did not allow us to host the bar inside the hall and said my guests would have to walk through the restaurant to get drinks). They were completely unwilling to hold to their word and made us cough up for over priced bottle service. This was one of a few issues, listed below: - AV did not work; did not have connectors for computer - Food different from agreed upon, and "unlimited" naans were never refilled Miserable experience, would not recommend to a friend.

I think NIK is a competitor of Chutney Mary who does not like Chutney Mary outshining everyone else during their New Year Gala. They had more people than most and had absolutely no untoward incident throughout the party which lasted till 1:30 am. And no, the bar did not stop at 11:45 pm; It lasted till 1:30 am since I had my last drink before my wife drove me off. Great party, great food and great music with a family style setting where kids also had fun in a different room. Just appreciate when someone does a great job, Mr Grouch.

I remember coming to chutney Mary years ago and it was one of the nice places to go to. Went back again to celebrate my moms birthday and the staff were so terrible that I was ready to leave half way through the meal. They were miserable without a smile. The mixed grill was hard, the salad was thrown together like you do at home cucumbers cut completely unevenly and we hardly touched our mains- the vindaloo was a joke and stay away from the mushroom. This place needs new ownership and a much needed makeover

We drove by the restaurant numerous times but never stopped. This time we did. The restaurant was very elegant and clean. Rana, the manager, and the staff were very friendly with prompt service. We waited hardly 10 minutes for our appetizers. The tandoori chicken was the best we had ever eaten...full of flavor and good portions. The main course meals were very good and reasonably priced. We will certainly be back to have a wonderful Indian meal with friends.

i had my wedding at chutney mary in may 2012. after looking at the usual suspects in new jersey for an indian wedding, my husband and i settled on chutney mary due to their professionalism. nikhil and the other staff are friendly and willing to talk to you as many times as needed to make your event exactly how you want it. all my guests raved about how delicious the food was as well. everyone had a great time and i highly recommend chutney mary for your event.

Authentic Indian flavor and spiciness with a wider variety of dishes offered on their buffets than even Rasoi (Oak tree road). Friendly and professional servers. I have been here on many occasions with friends and family including Mothers Day, New years party etc and never came away dissatisfied. They have a huge party hall fit for weddings or bachelor parties with good decor and chic lighting. They seem to be very experienced in handling big parties.

My first experience there I was not sure on how to mix certain foods at the salad station. Then the next time I had gone the assistant manager Riogh was very helpful. He took time to explain all the stations and how you should be mixed. The staff is very nice and the food is excellent. We will continue to go there. My mom, dad and friends enjoy the buffet. Best Indian cuisine in the area as well as the best value for the buffet. The selection is varied and caters to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates. Dosas are made to order while you watch. The food is spicy but not overpowering. Festive atmosphere with personal, welcoming service. The weekend buffet should not be missed.

My 20 colleagues and I thoroughly enjoyed the Lunch Buffet @ C.M. Many of us were in desi-dress for a belated Diwali celebration. We started with Mango Lassi and then sampled the seemingly endless buffet to our delight. (The Goat Masala was soooo tender!) The hospitality from the Desai Family was very welcoming. See you again soon!

Best place in the area for your Indian food crave. The ambiance upgraded recently makes it even better. Btw, they renamed it from Chutney Mary to Ember. It used to be Chutney Manor! Staff is very courteous. Their lunch buffet has many vegetarian and non-veg options. Cooks are from northern part of India. Expect a good quality food.

This place formerly known as chutney Manor as lots of Indian prefer for their wedding and reception venue. They have restaurant at the banquet place. Food is ok on both side. I have visited June 2017 and food improve just little bit after new management. Ample parking and space for various events possibly.

The food is absolutely the best in the area. Biryani is very delicious, and they cater to your level of spiciness. The Salmon is absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, but its a bit expensive than other Indian restaurants in the area. I would have given a 5 star rating, if not for the prices.

This place has a large banquet place. It is really there to host parties. Once we went there for dinner on a weekday and the servers there were behaving like they did not expect anyone to come through the door. We waited for a while for someone to attend to us. After about 15 minutes we walked off.

We went there for new years party and it was the worst party we had in a long time.. They had open bar which was pathetic. They actually closed the bar at 11:45pm and started cleaning up the place at 12am. DJ was ok and food was good, which is why I am giving it two stars.

I went to an event here recently and although most of the event was great and the food was okay, they staff started setting up for the next event with an hour left into the time of the party. This didnt really effect us having a good time, but it was shockingly rude.
