This was our first visit to this restaurant, we went in a group of around 15-20 friends. We ordered a lot of different dishes. In starters we ordered Paneer Tikka, Cut Mirchi, Idli and Samosa, and mostly starters were good. In Main Course we ordered Malai Kofta, Paneer Butter Masala, Daal Makhani, Dosa and Bhindi (All Mild Spicy). In this Malai kofta and Paneer Butter Masala were just horrible; they were so sweet, it almost felt that they have added good amount of sugar in these dishes. In Malai Kofta the Koftas were also ridiculous. When one of us pointed to a staff about the sweetness he said that is the way they are, but the Manager did a nice gesture to placate us by cancelling 1 Paneer Butter Masala and 1 Malai Kofta (we had ordered 3 of each).

My daughter and I had the weekday $8.99 buffet - This is Excellent value for money, as there are some 40 + items available. There were several tasty vegetarian choices, including garlic-chilli vegetables, okra, and many other yummy dishes. there was also 6 types of non veg items too, including chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, mutton and lamb. The dessert choices had fruit, paisan but my fave was Mysore pak. I felt $15 would have been an oK price. After I paid the bill and was in my car the waiter came out running and handed me a $20 bill that dropped out of my wallet - so the people are very honest too! I will certainly be back with my family...

This is the best restaurant, I have been to in NJ, during my 2 and 1/2 month stay. I do not think there is any other place, with the Best Hyderabad Biryani, awesome service. I have seen the customers, sitting next to me, request idlys, and they were served with Hot idlis and dosas for their kids. Nice ambiance, good back ground music, very good dishes. The dishes changed every time I revisited, so you will always be eating something new. Hot Biryani, palatable veg and non-veg dishes, good desert. Very satisfying and sumptuous meal for a minimal value. Awesome, if you are looking for Hyderabadi, Andhra and south Indian food. I give 5 stars.

Perfect dhum hyderabadi biryani. Mirchi ka saalan was perfect also. Friendly service manager. Very authentic Indian food. The tandoor dishes were awesome. Bread is superb. Service for the party was excellent. They always had 2 waiters on hand and ready to help. Very accommodating - we asked for some kids dishes after the party started and they did provide kids noodles for free. The manager calmly settled down an irate customer at the restaurant. I hope they maintain the standards despite some overly demanding customers.

I got to know about mirchi from my friend. When my friend has buffet at mirchi (on Saturday) where there are around 35 items in the menu. So expecting at least half of the items I decided to go to mirchi (next Saturday). Of course there are around 20 items for buffet, the only thing which was really good was the "kulfi" rest all were bad in taste. I actually resisted another batch of my friends to come here for lunch on the same day as its not worth of 15$. So please check for the menu before going to mirchi for buffet.

What a rude behavior by the guy at reception. We went for 40+ lunch buffet today and reached around 1:20 pm. We were waiting there for around 10 minutes to be seated. But the guy at reception never seems to care about us. When I asked whether they have seats for buffet, he said they are not accepting customers as they are busy doing catering!!!. He was so rude...he was so busy with some big catering order and does not bother about customers / customer care..

Have been here on multiple occasions usually highly crowded on weekends as they have mega buffet around 40+ items, quality isnt the best put pretty descent. But during weekends they tend to runout pretty quickly, they do refill items but need to wait a bit. This particular location doesnt have dosa counter which u can find at oak tree rod mirchi. The serving plates & cutlery for buffet arent that clean, i prefer rub down with wet napkin at least.

After I read othe peoples comments, I decided to celebrate my friends birthday there. The lunch buffet on Thursday was a disappointment. We were only costumers there... The tables and chairs were really shabby, sort of ruined our appetite.... I would not recommend their weekday lunch buffet to anyone who wants to celebrate their special occasion there!

Outstanding Indian food. My family and I come here at least two Sundays every month and are never disappointed. We tried the other Indian restaurants in the area and this by far is the best. The food is authentic and the spice is out of this world. The staff are friendly too. If you ever ate at the Mirchi in Edison this one is ten times better.

Disliked: Slow service - waited 10 mins for someone to take order, then 15 mins for water. Food took longer than expected to arrive. Spicy (but otherwise pretty bland and flavorless food) Liked: Good food presentation Clean ambience Didnt feel like ripped off - rates arent cheap but not too off the roof either

We ate at Mirchi this evening and everything was delicious - Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, Garlic Naab, Butter Naan, and even the flat crispy treat with the spicy tamarind sauce and the mint sauce that was complimentary. Everything was mmm mmm good!

Tons of salt and spicy. Are Indian restaurants bent on unhealthy diet increasing high BP and bringing on heart attack? Wake up customers. Your taste buds have gone numb on salt. Stop adding extreme salt and spices. Will never go again.

Outstanding taste and service. Truly awesome biryani. Authentic desi dishes. Tastes like from back home at Bawarchi Biryani. Owner is very sweet. Kids liked him. My best restaurant for this year. Large food portions. Good luck guys.
