I have to say that I love "Salt & Pepper". Its the whole shrimp, with (head, tail) all of it prepared in a fabulous fashion. I move 4 hours away three years ago and whenever I had a chance I would stop by my old place (4 hours away). Well ... I asked if they would have that dish in this family operated small restaurant and ... it tastes exactly like the one in the SF Bay Area. Other dishes we have had are outstanding as well. Most important; this is a relatively small operation and the owners are there, one-on-one helping, suggesting and just being friendly and nice. A rarity these days. If youre in South Lake Tahoe, I highly recommend this recent discovery, where I must have driven by 500 times, without noticing ....

Okay. So Im new to CA and have been EXTREMELY disappointed with the service Ive received at literally every restaurant EXCEPT here. My server, a sweet girl with rad glasses, suggested menu items, "up sold" me, made sure my drink was never less that half full, asked how my meal was and was just over all a great server. The food was also exceptional! I had the General Chicken. It was PERFECTLY crispy and the sauce was obviously homemade and tasty. My Chow Mein was also great, perfect texture and flavor. The portions are huge and the prices are low. Very excited to go back!

EXTREMELY disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. The beef both looked and tasted old and like it had gone bad. The chicken fried rice was bland and tasteless; the chicken looked like what youd get in a microwave fried rice dish. FIFTY DOLLARS for food for two people. Tiny portion sizes. At other places, I can get twice that amount of food for just over half the price. Will NEVET eat here again.

My family has gone here for years and years. Above average Chinese food, at great prices. The lunch special is perhaps the best deal around, and theyll bring the food out almost instantly (but still cooked to order of course). Its family run and the staff are friendly and funny--theyll joke around with you, order for you if you take to long, and every so often theyll make fun of my dad, which is always entertaining.

Poor service, nasty dishes that all taste the same (cornstarch + sugar gravy). Owner has a real attitude problem -- I would imagine that most of these reviews are fake -- go to Yelp and see what real people are saying. I can second that they mopped the floor while we were eating, 1) not clean, 2) dangerous! It was a slippery tile floor I wouldnt be surprised if this place gets shut down for health reasons.

The wor wonton soup was FABULOUS. Dinner for two was $31 including soup, four different appetizers, fried rice, two entrees, and hot tea. Vegetables were perfectly (barely) cooked, and very fresh. Service was above average. Well definitely go back again ... located about four miles from the Marriott. (Yes, youll need a car).

Worst Chinese food ever! The wontons had no meat, just the wrappers. The rice was super salty and everything was greasy. We still have an after taste in our mouths the next day. We ordered it for pick-up and was told 10 minutes. They called us after 15 minutes asking where we were. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

What an absolute joke! This greedy chinese store sells dinners at a high rate with no rice. A la carte. So they wanted $19 for a dish with rice. Why would you GROSSLY overpay for below avg. food? Learn how to not rob people and tourists.
