We will never eat here again. Heres why: -We ignored most of the reviews that mention poor service/long waits (and there are quite a few of those!). I wish we hadnt ignored them. We ordered to-go and were told it would be 15-20 minutes before our food would be ready. My husband waited for 45 minutes. More than double what we were told with little more than a half-hearted "sorry about that." -There are huge discrepancies between their online menu and their real menu. The prices are nearly DOUBLE what they say they are online. For example, online, it says the pork chow mein is 4.75. When we went to pay, we learned it is 8.50! Our total was about double what we expected. The first two things we tried to order (crab rangoons and the empress chicken) werent even on the real menu. When we questioned this, we got a dismissive "Yeah, we hear that the menu is wrong a lot." There is no excuse. Get on a computer, claim your Yelp/Zomato/etc listing, and update. -The food was bland and could have been made better at home. Maybe this was a one time thing (we assume they forgot to cook our food and rushed to get it done when my husband walked in), but it was flavorless. Okay, so these things were bad, but we probably would have given this place another shot if it werent for the following: -When my husband got home nearly an hour later than he should have had to, we tried the food. As I said, it was bland and, frankly, not worth the 40 dollars and one hour wed wasted on this place. So I called the restaurant. It seems like almost everyone working there is a teenager. I asked to speak to a manager and explained our dissatisfaction. She was clearly pretty young and said she needed to talk to her boss. This boss I spoke to was, by far, the rudest and least professional employee Ive spoken to in this Valley. She got on the phone dismissive and angry. The first thing she asked me was if I was a new customer and I said yes. She told me I obviously wasnt the right kind of customer for her restaurant and that I didnt know what good Chinese was. She wouldnt let me say a word and kept ranting and talking more and more loudly over me. I finally asked her to stop talking and please let me speak. She still wouldnt let me and just said, "I dont care. Tell me what you want." I told her I wanted to pack up this food and bring it to them to get my money back. She said fine and hung up. When I got to the restaurant, she wouldnt come out to see me. She sent an employee to grab the food from me (without asking) and take it into the kitchen where she presumably was. I was strung around for awhile before another employee finally came out and refunded me. I can excuse food that isnt great and even a long wait. But I refuse to spend money at a restaurant that cares so little for its customers and owning up to mistakes. I wont eat at a restaurant that tells me Im not good enough for it and wont give my money to a restaurant owner who treats customers like this.

Peking is a typical, westernized Chinese restaurant. Thats not normally high praise, but just finding decent Chinese food in the Wenatchee area is a challenge. Peking offers clean, tasty Chinese food in a reasonably attractive restaurant with pleasant servers. Ive never had a bad experience there. In any other community a restaurant like this would score as a bit below average. The couches out front are a little dirty, the lobby always has kind of a weird funk of ammonia cleaner, the water in the big fish tank is a little gunky. The interior is that kind of generic white stucco with bits of asian kitch, fake darkwood formaica tables, plastic fake leather booths. The food is always fresh and tasty, and they have a nice full menu with a lot of offerings. A lot of the menu items feel really similar to each other, which is unfortunate, but theres some gems. The mongolian beef is really good as is their chicken curry. Try to avoid their egg flower soup--it always ends up really bland and watery--whereas their hot and sour soup is free to swap out and always much better. Their fried rice is different, with a overseasoned beefy flavor and full of pork, peas and carrots--I personally like it, but just know its a different recipe going in.

I understand customer service is on the decline, but this place has really gone south, wait times are bad, especially call in orders, the last few times they have made mistakes, they are however extremely polite and will correct it, but your gonna wait awhile. Their prices are good and the food tastes good, but they are careless, forgetful and disorganized. I was waiting 25 minutes after the the twenty minutes they quoted me to wait, and there were a few other people who were waiting even longer than myself, than they completely screwed up my order, than told me I ordered wrong at with Chinese thats impossible everything has exact names i.e. cashew shrimp, almond chicken, sweet n sour chicken, pork fried rice etc. I already accepted that the reason my food took so long is they forgot to make it, so when they offered to remake it Id been there nearly 45 minutes, plus the twenty I waited before going in and I just asked for a refund, which I had to argue for. Everytime its a battle with them, I wont go in there again. Hopefully they fix it, but doesnt seem like it since Ive been told by many they wont go there again. Wenatchee is a great place it would be nice to get some customer serviced driven restaurants to come into town.

WORST SERVICE EVER! The waitresses are beyond rude. Got my order wrong then were rude about it. Sweet and sour chicken is greasy fried chicken with a cold sweet and sour sauce on the side. Were too busy bitching about having to actually work that they forgot half our order. I just called asking for the manager and the front desk girl pretended to be her own manager, nice. Will never go again, horrible service. Better off going to Safeway and reheating PF changs!

The food was excellent. The service was terrible. They were not busy but we were sitted in the corner and once we got our food, we never saw anyone. Wait staff were all over and passes us often. We say there for over 25 minutes after finished eating waiting for a box and check. I finally got my own to go box and we went to the register to pay. Love the food but will not go back die to terrible service.

Went to eat there after a long road trip and we were seated right away but service was slow and the other waitresses were busy visiting with eachother instead of helping. We waited for a long time (30min) before we could order our food, I know they were busy but I have to busier places than that and never had I had to wait as long as I did here. The food was good but the wait was horrible.

If you are looking for good quality Chinese food this is a great restaurant. Kind of a plane atmosphere and sometimes takes forever to get your meal but given our limited selection in the area, it is the number one place for this type of food.
