I want to start off by saying that I absolutely love chinese food. However, I am very skeptical about trying new chinese restaurants. For this place, I heard good things about the food and prices so I went ahead and gave it a try wishing the best but I soon regret going here and spending money at this establishment because the food was beyond disgusting. This restaurant is a few blocks from my work so I called in my order during lunch time and then went to pick up on order. The person who answered the phone said it would ne ready in 10 minutes. It does scare me knowing that food can ne prepared that quickly but I try not to think about it. I got there 10 minutes later and the food was baged and at the register. I ordered peppersteak and chicken fried rice and an veggie eggroll. So I went back to my workplace and notice that the food was bland with no taste, the peppersteak was very chewy and pink and had absolutly no taste and instead of an egg roll, I was given a spring roll and that is the only thing that actually tasted ok. I threw mostly all the food out because it was too disgusting to eat. Whatever these chinese restaurants put in their foods doesnt agree with my body, because anytime I eat chinese food, i always get a migrane that takes hours to go away. To future customers, please save your money and time and eat elsewhere. This is the WORST chinese food that I have ever, ever had. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would.

Okay so first thing was the monotone greeting when my sister and I walked in. Then after we received our food it was HORRIBLE!!. The food had absolutely no seasoning and I could not just sit at home and pay for a meal that was gross. On top of that the peppers in the pepper steak that we ordered was not cooked at all. Then we arrived to get our money back one of the employees told us that this is how they cook their food and we should try somewhere else. Then the other ambiguous looking person said DO NOT COME BACK. Extremely rude and unprofessional and I would never go back to spend money where the food was nasty and the people just as nasty. Word of advice refund the money and leave it at that, next time someone might not walk out as graciously.

Im Chinese and spend a lot of time seeking out Chinese food. My Mom and Dad are amazing cooks and weve eaten all over the world. So when I read reviews about Chinese restaurants Im super critical. China East is decent "American" chinese food. Its fresh, they do a lot of business, but its very oily, fried, and not really original. So for your average Sunday night take out its good, but if youre Asian and looking for decent Chinese food your better of cooking it at home or going to Chicago.

I was in town for business and based on the reviews, decided to try out China East. Either it was a bad day for them or the people in the area dont know what good Chinese food should taste like. The food was AWFUL! Mongolian beef - yuk, steam dumplings (all dough) - yuk, Chop Suey (not sure what I was given but it was not the type of chop suey I get in San Francisco - yuk, Hot and Sour soup - double yuk! If you are from out of town looking for Chinese food go somewhere else

Prejudice is taught and learned not something you are born with. I think the food here is pretty good but they do show a different enthusiasm when people of color enter the building....lets not for get my money is green like yours sir. @ November

We eat at this restaurant all the time. The last time my mom bought her some shrimp and it was gritty. So this particular time my mom called her & said can you please make sure the shrimp is not gritty..... Well the cook said he did the best he could & if we didnt like we dont have to come back....I will be reporting them to BBB....smh this is horrible business..... They dont have to worry! We wont ever go back!

My wife wasnt a Chinese fan until introducing her to China east. We love their Crab Rangoon, fried dumpling, sweet and sour chicken, Generals Tso extra spicy, veggie low main, chicken fried rice and Kung pao chicken. Tastes great the day of and the next day as left overs. We love China east, and weve tried as many others in the area, we will choose China East over any other, no questions asked.

Fresh, fast, the order is always right... it may not be authentic Chinese but for Americanized Chinese food, its great! We live 8 miles from here and whenever we are in the mood for Chinese we always wish that this place was closer to our house!!! Take-out only- the 2 tables arent really for sit down eating...

The service was good but the food was disqusting. I will not be returning ever. I stopped because it was close to my job...i should have went to toppers...brocc nd beef with shrimp fried rice....the only good thing was the rhe brocc NEVER AGAIN nd WASTE OF MONEY

The sesame beef and egg rolls were soggy, the Singapore noodles were underseasoned. We will be finding a different takeout place. Also, holy racists batman. Get a conscience.

Its been ok in a pinch for takeout, but on the greasy side. If you can eat wheat/gluten and sugary things, the veg chicken is great. My partner really likes it
