This place is straight up delicious! If you are a fan of korean tofu soup then this is the place to go. If you desire your soup to be fresh and hot for a long time while talking with a friend this is the place to go! If you want soup that will warm your body and make you feel like you are being hugged with delicious spice, tofu and choice of meat then this is place to go! The soup comes in a traditional korean stone bowl that is very hot but keeps the soup hot even bubbling as it comes out! What a sight as I see my food get cooked before me. It is straight up delicious and they give you an egg on the side to crack into your soup so it can slowly cook. Crack it and leave it... youll thank me later. I didnt really enjoy the beef soup so instead I took on the beef sausage... not knowing what it was, the waitress said that it was just beef sausage... to my delightful surprise it was beef hotdogs!!! Amazing! (Im not be sarcastic). The rice comes in a stainless steel bowl that makes a delicious crust out of the rice that is directly touching the bowl. All this with delicious side dishes (panchang) it becomes a complete full meal! The textures and spices from all this makes it a very enjoyable meal that is perfect for the winter. My friends love this place and I really enjoy it. But fair warning, mouth, feelings, body parts may be burned in the process but this risk is worth it. Go and enjoy this amazing Korean Tofu place.

The food was okay but the price for lunch special was too steep! Not only that, at the end of the lunch, the waitress/owner brought the bill stating "Oh, the soontofu price went up, so the price is $12.25 after tax, instead of $ 11 & something. There were four of us, and the total bill came out to be $49. I gave them a $9 tip, despite of their mal-practice. But, I dont think I will be back to this place for this reason.

Best soondubu (Korean tofu soup) in Chicago! They have 11 different types, e.g. Mushroom, seafood, beef, pork etc., and you can choose how spicy you like it. The panchan is also delicious, as well as the kalbi! All in a comfortable setting with pleasant staff. I personally love to scoop the middle of the rice bowl out right away which leaves the remainder of the rice to get crispy, yum!

Ordered the Seafood and Beef Tofu Soup at my first visit and it was so delicious! While I thought that the soup was very tasty (not better than a similar dish at Tanana Sushi in Naperville), the rice that was being served in a piping hot stone bowl was simply out of this world. It reminded me so much of the ultra-delicious Cantonese rice in clay pot that I used to have when I was a kid.

When you walk in you feel like youve stopped at a diner in a small Texas town. Great atmosphere. We had breakfast. Eggs cooked perfect. All the breakfast meats tasted great. Grits were very good and not overt done. Will go back.
