I was hungry for Chinese, not having had any since relocating from Silicon Valley 4 months ago. My husband was on his way to Lowes, so I was just looking at the options along 27th St, on the way back. China House had a 3.6 Google Reviewers rating, which is pretty high for take out Chinese, so even without being able to see a Menu, I thought Id give them a chance. I am SO glad I did! We ordered the Garlic Beef and Sweet and Sour chicken combos, that come with chicken fried rice and a pork egg roll. As I was dishing it up (we share) I could smell that the chicken for the Sweet and Sour was very freshly fried up. The chicken fried rice had strips of fresh SHREDDED chicken- not the canned and processed stuff you so often get. The egg rolls were flavorful, the vegetables were cooked PERFECTLY, and the sauces yummy. Everything was hot and clearly made up fresh. Oh yeah, and they advertise No MSG! So no headache or sick feeling after the meal. Honestly, the only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that the fortune cookies were definitely stale. If I could, Id only dock them half a star for that. Overall, it was a good value for fresh, delicious, food- the very best Chinese Take Out Ive had in probably 20 years, despite living in heavily Asian neighborhoods for the past 13! We will definitely be going back!

I have been a patron of this restaurant for at least 11 years. Today is the first time I have ever been insulted by the female owner. I placed a delivery order and paid with my credit card or so I thought. When the delivery arrived the driver saw a pen in my hand indicating I was going to sign my receipt. He called the restaurant and I was told my card declined. Totally baffled I asked her to run it again...declined again. I did pay with a different card. Called my credit card company who stated there was more than enough credit and that it could be an issue with the restaurants third party vendor. I called back to explain what the credit card company had explained in case another customer had an issue. The same woman stated to me very rudely," declined means no money on card". I was shocked at her tone and argumentative response to my perception of being helpful and wanting her to know I was not a dead beat customer. She stated to me again" I have the receipts stating declined." I firmly stated to her what I am telling you is my cards not the issue it was your machine and 3rd party vendor. At which point she stated ok ok..again in an annoyed tone. No thank you for letting me know..nothing epically after years of dedicated patronage I expected a different response. Horrible! ..they just lost a customer.

When I ordered my food for delivery they didnt tell me the total or how long its going to be. When the delivery guy got here (30 mins later), he told us our total was $30. We gave him $40, asking for change so we can tip him. But automatically , he gave himself a tip and gave us $5 back w/out saying anything. I thought that was rude. I work in service industry so I understand how it feels to work for tips but you dont just give yourself a tip. I always tip but it was rude of him just to tip himself. Also the food was over price for the portion of it and the taste was very blah. Thank you for your service but I wouldnt order from there again.

Hate eating Chinese food anywhere else. Me and my ex used to eat here all the time and I have never had a bad experience. Big selection of food and it is cooked fast and tastes great. Love the egg foo young with gravy! Usually drive there but they also deliver. Never ate inside but they do have an attached dining room that seems rarely used and is poorly decorated. The family that owns it though is very nice, hard working and its very clean so if needed I would have no problem seating down for a meal there.

Ordered delivery, it was quick and tasty. We ordered sesame chicken, seafood soup, teriyaki chicken skewers, and steamed dumplings. Food was hot and crispy. I doctored the soup a little, but it was still good, it had lots of big chunks of crab and mushrooms. I think it was supposed to come with a crispy, but I wasnt too worried about it. Really nothing much to complain about!

Called to make an order for delivery having done this many times before and was told they could not deliver to my address and when asked why not they refused to give an answer and then hung up. Called back and asked why we were hung up on and were treated very rudely and hung up on again. I had a very large expensive order and will now be taking my business someplace else.

My family goes here every year for Christmas by tradition. We recently moved about 10 miles away and still order here because we havent found a place good enough to replace them in 2 years. The building isnt that great looking, but the food is great! (and thats what matters, right?!)

The menu is your typical Chinese fast food. The building interior is drab and looks dirty and neglected. The food was average at best. Staff seemed friendly. With so many Chinese fastfood places around I doubt Ill go back to this one anytime soon.

I go to Xperience greenfield which is in same block with china house. I do get my favourite weight watchers shrimp with mix veggies. Huge portion for 1 person. Lady ( i suppose she is the owner ) is super sweet, great customer service.

I order the other night and it was the worst food I ever ate. The rice had no flavor and it was soggy the pork and chicken was old and smelt horrible what a wast of money 22 dollars for 2 courts of fried rice.

Absolutely the worst food ever. The veggie roll was like mush inside---no flavor. The veggie lo mein was a box full of flavorless noodles. The Kung pou chicken was dry and awful. Will never try them again!

Their delivery is fast and has some good fast Chinese food for good prices. They are only open until 10pm most nights which doesnt do much for those late nights that workaholics seem to be having.

Food is awesome, im allergic to onions and since their food is not prepackaged you can get it what ever way you like. Fast delivery too. Food is still hot when it arrives.
