Ive eaten here a number of times over the past 5 years. The decor is a bit curious (grapes hanging from the ceiling?) but all in all inviting and warm. The food is usually warm, tasty, and worthy of 2nds. Of course, as with any restaurant (buffet or otherwise) that employs several different chefs, there will be times that the food is prepared a little differently and may not meet everyones criteria for "delicious". So, on different days the food may taste a bit different. And of course, as with any buffet, there will be times when its very busy and trays dont get refilled fast enough or others might be left to sit a little too long. Ive found, however, that if you politely ask, these issues are addressed quickly. The one thing that disturbs me the most about some of the other reviews Ive read is the complete lack of cultural consideration. Yes, many/most of the employees are Asian. Many of them do not speak English fluently. However, they understand enough to do their jobs and do them well. Additionally, Asian customs are very different from eclectic American ones. Tipping is not an issue in most Asian countries because the servers dont work for tips. So in most cases, the waitstaff is quick, efficient, and aloof. There is never a hostess standing at attention when we walk in the door. Refills sometimes need to be requested. Sometimes you need to request the check as well. (Stand up at your table for a minute or two. They will bring your check and they wont consider it rude) This is customary Asian waitstaff behavior. So no, they are not being rude. They are not snubbing you. Lastly, reel in your argument that this is "America" and they need to act like Americans. Because, no they dont. There is no true American culture. Its a mishmash of ALL the different cultures that came together to create America. So get over yourself.

We usually take family or friends out to the golden corral but since we had done this several times with this family member, we opted for Chinese food. It had been a long time since the husband and I had eaten here but we remembered it being decent food. Wow, what a let down! We actually apologized for taking our guest there. The table had to be cleaned for us to be seated but we had to wipe it off further. You can no longer pick and choose your meats for the custom plates cooked fresh and the cook had a bit of an attitude. Many of the trays were empty in the salad section so that wasnt even an option. The rice was so sticky and gooey, the mac n cheese was so dried out and most of the few bits of fruit they had were so old and dry looking that we passed by all those. They did bring out a few fresh trays of food that were eatable but even as we were making excuses thinking it must be an off day, they brought the bill and the customary fortune cookies. Now I know its not their fault if one is missing a fortune but the cookies were so stale they were spit out into napkins. The decor had not changed and the dust and cobwebs hanging over our heads was rather disturbing and the floors were a bit slippery. As I went to pay the bill I expected to be asked how everything was so Id have a chance to express my disappointment but instead the cashier was so busy on his smartphone that he didnt bother making eye contact. Instead the swipe machine was grabbed and turned toward him, he snatched the card from my hand, ran the purchase and had me sign in silence. After all this, I can promise we will never return and everyone I know will know better than to waste their money at this establishment.

The family and I made a spur of the moment decision to hit up the buffet rather than order delivery like we usually do. We arrived about 16:30, the restaurant was pretty empty and the buffet was anything other than fresh. The fried rice was dried out, as were many other items and some trays were bare. We were seated directly under an AC vent, which I enjoyed preferring the blast of cool air, but it blew things around on the table. Most of the meat items are very greasy, and there were very few veggie options. By the time sushi was made we were on dessert. The only things offered screamed apathy and disappointment. Cream puffs were tough, cookies flavorless and dried out, the thin iced brownie turned out to be devils food and shortening with some sugar and red food coloring. We didnt leave hungry, and our chinese food fix was sated. A few items were new to me and were acceptable. This was my second time here, the first time was late at night and it wasnt any different.

i ve read a few reviews of this place. Those criticizing miss the mark. First complaint, "You dont get the real sushi bar experience," Of course not-this a a buffet not a sushi bar! the sushi they have is part of the buffet. Second, " They also need more of other types of food." Whats that inane comment about? Do you want pizza? That comment was basically off the wall. The assortment of various oriental dishes was excellent. And best of all, they each had an individual unique taste not like the generic flavor most chinese restaurants in this area possess. The only 2 criticisms I have were General Tsao chicken was not crisp and egg rolls were lacking. If u eat at McDONALDS and like similar bland oriental food, this place is not for you. If you prefer subtle Cantonese flavors with some spicy dishes added and a variety, this place will do just fine

So I finally decide to give this place a chance after a previous bad experience with bad wait staff... I get their sweet and sour chicken and promptly almost choke on a small bone that managed to stay in this fried little chicken nugget looking thing... I show it to my waitress so she gets who I assume is the manager and she tells me its a frog leg bone (located inside a fried piece of chicken?!?!) She asks me if I still want my plate (are you kidding me?!?!)... Needless to say I was done eating and done with the restaurant... We had 3 kids with us also eating the sweet and sour chicken, guess Im just glad it was me who got the bone and not them... Due to our "minor experience" (managers words not mine) she let the kitchen manager know and we got a 10% discount, which is the only reason for for even one star Eat at your own risk!

Always a wide variety of dishes offered. Occasionally the buffet trays get a little old if the place is near closing but otherwise they keep the hot fresh foods coming. Great free sushi and made-to-order hibachi. Sometimes the place is so busy that its nearly a food-fight during the typical dinner-hours, especially for the greedy people who grab all of the snow crab as soon as its put out. Service varies depending on the experience and English grasp of the various influx of Chinese waiters but overall its usually friendly and they try to be helpful. We eat here frequently, and guests from out of town request that we take them there again. Overall, a superb deal for the price.
