PERFECT!!! Stop reading reviews and go to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed: In fact, you you may remember this Chinese food as among the BEST that you have ever had. I travel all over this country and am on a personal mission to find the absolute best Chinese Food Restaurants while on my down time. Chinatown in Winchester, VA is in the top three and rivals my number one choice (Autumn Moon - Flagstaff, AZ.) The atmosphere, decor, cleanliness, service ware and especially the staff & cuisine were top notch. In my opinion, great Chinese food is all about the sauces and Chinatown served wonderful sauces. I had the Combination (Special) Lo Mein. Ayla was my server and she was terrific! The owner has obviously taken the usually expected and non-descript Chinese food restaurant to the next level and beyond. Again, stop reading and Go Now!

I should have known not to order Pad Thai at a Chinese restaurant. This was the worst Pad Thai I have ever eaten. Actually only ate some of it. The flavor had nothing in common with any Pad Thai Ive had at real Thai places. I asked for tofu instead of meat and was told that it would also include vegetables. That sounded okay to me but when I got my carryout order it contained no vegetables except for a single bean sprout and some dried onions in a separate cup along with ground peanuts. They also included all the little packs of soy sauce, mustard, and duck sauce that are never used with Thai food. If you order takeout remember to ask for a fork and napkins because they are not included.

Chinatown restaurant is absolutely my favorite place for Chinese food in town. The owner Ming is very personable and has created a relaxing atmosphere. There is a buffet every Wednesday, but be prepared for it to be busy, its just that good. The wait staff is top notch, my family and I are regulars, they always remember all of our drink orders and favorite items. I have even gone as far as discussing what sounded like a great dish with our waitress, but wasnt on the menu, and she had the kitchen make it for me. It was amazing!!

Started going here over 25 years ago, back when it was in the mall. Used to be a lot better. Service is terrible. Ive been seated before and after 20 min just left because nobody came to take our order. For years, I used to come here 2 to 3 times a month, but now maybe once every few months. Update: went back and sushi was rotten. Literally tasted like the smell of trash cans at the beach. So upset that this place has gone from one of the best in the area to a place that I will never visit again.

THE BEST ive found within evening take out range. Great Sushi, Great Chinese, and great Thai variations! The service is always wonderful. If you are like me and find the cheap all you can eat place across the street discusting, you will LOVE CHINATOWN in Winchester!!! They have a lunch buffet on Wednesday its definitely great you should try it if youre curious about Chinatown. The crab Ragoon is awesome.

Been coming here for awhile now and the staff is always friendly and I like that the owner is involved theres not been but maybe a handful of times where I have eaten there and their owner hasnt been there also I have recently met the owners father and he is also a very nice gentleman. By the way the remodel looks great

Very good and as authentic as possible in western Virginia. Wait staff was efficient and friendly - and helped each other, always a good sign of a well-run restaurant. I had Yu Xian - eggplant with shrimp and chicken. Wife had broccoli and roast pork and chicken. Both were spectacular! Will come back on next trip.

Lousy/inept carryout service (YES I need plasticware, soy sauce, napkins..) and my shrimp lo mein was 87% noodles and almost completely devoid of vegetables. The hot and sour soup was not bad (I guess thats where they put all my vegetables), but Im not gonna bother coming back.

What a great staff and the food was way tastier than any other Chinese food I have ever had. Traditional? Yes but creative and yummy. Full bar with great drinks! I never new until someone brought me here....No more Hibachi! Chinatown stole my appetite.

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for over twenty years. The food is always fresh, properly prepared, and moderately priced. The Hunan chicken is excellent! There is a daily lunch buffet as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good food gave 3 stars cause this is the 5th time i was told 25 minutes to pick up and i came in 25 minutes and had to wait a extra 20 minutes when i got here..... changed my review from 3 to 2 star cause all the food was cold

Was stopped in winchester on a road trip and tried this place out. Had a great buffet for a solid price, and the food was quite good. Great bang for the buck. Wish I had a local location!
