With so many excellent options for Mexican food in Woodland, it is hard for me to believe that Guadalajara stays in business. I think its proximity to Safeway and the freeway allow many "passers through" who probably wont be back. I initially had one poor experience here and have avoided eating there again. Since it had been a few years, I decided to give it one more try. Service was dismissive at best and downright intentionally rude at worst. While we received menus, water and our meals in an appropriate amount of time, the server made it clear that our presence did nothing for her. She seemed bothered that we were even in her restaurant. I also noticed that other customers entering were treated with this same attitude of disdain. I ordered the fish tacos, which sounded like a great option. Snapper, not fried, with tomatoes and onions. The fish was below average, edible, but not fresh, and the corn tortillas were soggy. When I think of Mexican food, I think of crisp, fresh flavors and textures. The tomatoes and onions were bland and overcooked instead of being a salsa fresca, and the rice and beans were forgettable. If you combine the poor service and below par food, you get a recipe for "go somewhere else." There is a really great authentic Taqueria next to the post office, and fantastic sit down restaurant called Los Pepes next to the Dollar Store. If youre looking for good Mexican food in Woodland, go to these places first!

We just stopped by yesterday after perusing through the Tulip Festival and were impressed with the service; my wife ordered a Pina Colada and our server came back and asked if she would like to add some strawberries and whipped cream to the drink, making it a Lava Colada. My wife readily agreed and it was the smoothest blended drink Ive ever tasted. The food was reasonably priced and the portions are huge! My burrito easily rivaled anything Chipotle would put out and it was covered in tomato sauce, and had peppers, mushrooms, and onions topping it! Pretty good chips, salsa and fresh pico, as well! Will definitely visit again when I am up that way!

Came in at around 8PM on a Sunday evening exhausted and hungry from a days of farm work wanting some good food, and Guadalajara delivered! We both ordered the Chimichunga and the food came out within 10 minutes. Free chips and salsa were delicious, and our eyes opened up nearly as big as the plates our food was served on! The food was a good sized portion, piping hot and delicious; do note the plates ARE HOT so dont grab and hold onto it! The atmosphere was very relaxed with soft country playing in the background. Seats and tables were clean and everyone was friendly and courteous. Would definitely come back!

This is a nicely kept and clean restaurant. The true problem is that the waiter we had today just hasnt the faintest clue how to wait on customers. Generally asking how the food is comes a few minutes after a few bites have been taken, not at the end of the meal. What we would have told him is that the food was horribly bland. Everything tasted as if it had been removed from a package or can. That and the poor service guaranteed wed not come through their doors again.

The staff is very friendly....With that being said we were quite disappointed in the food. The food was bland, the portions were big, but still pricey for a Mexican restaurant. We were surprised they do not have queso, only brought out one small bowl of salsa (for 4 people). The chicken in the tacos and enchiladas was so overcooked we had to chew for an abnormal amount of time. The husband said the saving grace was the guacamole. 99% chance we wont be back.

One word: CHEESE! LOTS OF CHEESE! Dont get me wrong, I love cheese (side note: Tillamook Cheese: YUM!). But our dishes were smothered in cheese. I felt like like I needed to go get some cardio work in afterwards to recover for the cheese attack. Salsa was good, very good. They give you two types of salsas and are very attentive about refills on the chips and salsas. Despite all the cheese it was a good place with good food and salsa.

I loved working here. The manager is an amazing woman named Rosa who was a pleasure to work for. She is really hard working and does her best to make the restaurant as successful and efficient as possible. The food when I worked there was amazing, I always went with this shredded chicken enchiladas, or the Macho Burrito with beef. They have LOTS of amazing item to choose from, so dont be shy as try something new!

We thought we would try the local Mexican food as we just moved to the area. We read mixed reviews but decided to try it. The food was just ok. They never refilled our chips and salsa and my wife ordered a sex on the beach drink and it was terrible! The wait staff came to the table exactly 3 times, to take our order to drop off drinks to drop off food. Even dropping off the check was more like a drive by.

There was some sort of fly or bug in the bottom of my beer that I found at the end of it while eating dinner. Let the waitress know and tried to be discreet about it. She came back explaining that it probably flew in their after I drank it and charged me for it anyway. Not pumped on the customer service in this case.

Today I had the taco soup, cup size was plenty for me... It would be hard to eat the bowl size! Restaurant is clean, and the staff was friendly. I would eat here again. My wife and I ate for $22, not including tip.
