I would like to begin be saying I really use to like this restaurant, but in resent months the service and quality have begun to suffer. So I hope management finds this review and takes action. A couple of months ago I came in for breakfast and sat at the bar. I knew something was not going right when the couple that sat down a few minutes after I did was getting up to pay their check and I still had not received my food yet. When it did come out it was scolding hot but the vegetables still had the texture of being raw. More then likely the waiter forgot to put in the order or the cook lost the ticket. Regardless I decided it was probably just a one time thing. Then today I decided to visit again. This time my side dish of egg and bacon came with something extra. A three inch long piece of metal shaving from what looked like a Brillo pad. I pointed this out to one of the waiters that did replace the dish, but by this point I had lost my appetite and left it untouched. One would think my original waiter would have question why I didnt touch this half of the meal when taking the dishes away, but he simple looked at the plate and muttered "huh". Once again I really hope management takes a look in to these problems and addresses them. Because statistically the odds of this only happening to me would be astronomical.

Its nice to find a diner like this one still in existence. A good diner is hard to find, much like a drive in movie theater. My family and I typically go to Stardust at least once a month. My kids love the jukeboxes at the tables that take quarters to change the music. Most kids do from what I have noticed. The food is typically good. Ive only had a few things that were bland. One word of advice: if you like your meat anything less than done, dont ask. Ive never received what I wanted when customizing my meat doneness. The servers are almost always on top of everything, and they do it all with a genuine smile. The owners are there in the evening (I think thats who they are, I see them often and are usually directing traffic). Overall, if youre looking for a place with good food, relaxed atmosphere, and great service, youve found the right place. Also, the prices are very fair and wont typically break the bank. I usually spend less than $40 (not including tip) for four people (2 adults, 2 children).

A visit to the Stardust Diner wont break your bank and will leave you greatly satisfied with your restaurant selection. Comfortable fifties setting with a wide selection of American classic meals. The breakfasts are better than Mom ever made and can be accompanied with Elvis and Frank with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice squeezed every day by hand with no additives, making it a limited item. Lunch can be anything from a Reuben to the Blue Moon Burger, or the "Blue Plate Special" of the day which are at a discounted price, but no less delicious. Grab a burger and one of their outstanding hand spun milkshakes. Dinner for two? Or how about the whole family? Either works in the atmosphere provided by the Stardust crew. Bring the kids along for a family dinner outing! The kids menu has a wide and affordable variety of choices. Friendly faces that care about the customer first. Food that pleases the pallet and the appetite. This establishment is a must see.

Always a great value-especially w/readily available coupons. 2 bads: the coffee gets cold in the thermos bottles they use and the french fries, several people agree, are probably the worst of all the local family casual dining places. The restrooms and floors throughout are often dirtier than past though and the diner is getting a bit worn from traffic. Service, most food quality and especially the ice cream based options are the best. Was 4.5 stars by me 3~years ago but, the negatives above have dropped my rating. I eat there 2x a month, used to be 3. Sharis down the street competes well.

Consistently great service and good food! We were new to the area and trying out new food a few years back. Since our first visit till just last weekend, the food as always been delish! The staff is friendly and quick to please. The place has it fare share of regulars and there is a good reason why. Go in and find out for your self. And if you go for weekend breakfast and see a crowded lobby, dont panic, its usually not a very long wait.

Weve been going to the Stardust Diner almost weekly since we moved to the Vancouver area in 2010. Everything weve tried has been excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. The place is clean and fun to look at with all the 40s memorabilia on the walls. My only complaint has ever been the freezing cold bathrooms. Everything else is fantastic. In fact we just had breakfast there this morning. Im still stuffed.

Old fasioned diner with old fashioned values. Excellent food and service. Prices are comparable to fast food chains. Owners, management and staff put pride into the product. Old fashioned comfort foods like burgers, meatloaf, old fashioned soda, banana split they have it. Tables have juke boxes and walls have old advertisements from yesteryear. I am a repeat customer for the past 12 or so years I have lived in Vancouver.

Fantastic American Diner style food in cool fifties Diner atmosphere, the girls in the wait staff are cute if that matters to you. Certainly helps my visit! But I come there for the delicious food and the excellent service! The prices are decent too for the portions they give. Make sure to check out the blue plate specials! As well as the white board above the cash register for more specials thank you Stardust

I love the Stardust Diner! Ive been going there for 3-4 years. They have huge servings, great prices (coupons come out weekly), and staff are friendly and attentive. They have wonderful breakfasts and fantastic Fish and Chips. Now that I am 55, I get even a better deal. :) OH, and their milk shakes are also great. I often take my mom there now - which is one of her favorite places too.

Disappointed. Everything we ordered seemed like it was frozen or from a box. We ordered Macaroni and cheese for our son, expecting homemade...and got Kraft. Never in a million years would I feed my son Kraft at home. The service was great and so was the atmosphere, but I dont think well be back. I make better food at home. It was more like fast food than I would have expected.

Takes you back in time to an Era when things were simple and the music is something you would hear in an old-style Malt Shop back in the fifties. Pictures line the walls of World War II and Korean War and all the little weird gadgets that were in grandmas house. And of course you cannot forget the movie stars. Coming here 4 years for the food and all the Nostalgia.

The food was dry and horrible. I had to force the food down just because I felt inclined to get my moneys worth. Even my four year old son said his stomach " felt funny" following the meal. I typically dont take the time to write reviews, but with a place this bad I felt it was my duty to at least let others know. Worst way I could have spent $25.30. Dont do it!
