Very nice, comfortable neighborhood eatery. Menu/variety is very much like a Diner, maybe slightly above. Interior, atmosphere is nice, comfortable and a bit stylish. Kitchen is fairly open, so some of the smell gets into the guest room. Service is very friendly and attentive. I was early (around 7:00 AM, they just opened) so the food came out in less than 5 min. Food quality (from breakfast experience) is ok. Tastes like basic diner fare. Not refined or in any way special. No particular seasoning or preparation method. Essentially a "Dennys" in the neighborhood with much nicer interior and very friendly service. If I owned this place, I would refine my menu a bit, come up with a few tasty, inventive specialties and invest a bit more in seasoning and preparation.

Love the food, however being told the cooks do what they want so I may or may no get what I order... thats strange. Ive been going to toast since it opened and before that I was going to Joes. Pretty crazy to call in and relay that every time I order I do not get the "extra" hash browns which I pay for... the girl tells me "well the cooks do what they want, I guess Ill put in it the notes". Ummm ok so make sure you stick to your order, even though it is an option on the menu. I guess they figure we are getting food to go, so screw it. Yeah, $50 worth every time to be told it may or may not be correct, (explicit language). Now I will go to 24th street location. The audacity, to think I even tipped that women many times.. hilarious.

Toast has a great black coffee. Perfect for my taste and they give you a huge endless cup. Waitress is fascinating and always enjoy her eagerness to get me more coffee. Something about her being very alert makes me feel comfortable at Toast. You also got to check out the artwork by one of the local artists on the wall, Sirron Norris. Man talk about getting you motivated to go do some art. This guy and his studio is awesome. Im so glad their in the mission and promote local businesses like Toast. This is definitely a unique breakfast joint in the city. If your downtown take the muni train and get the trolley that has the top off. and cruise in style :)

The food is always great at this Toast location, and the service is very good as well. Its a small venue, though I have never been when it is busy so it has never felt too small to me. They have a couple of spots if you want to sit outside which is nice. Its kind of out of the way, but it has the consistency that makes it a sure bet if youre wanting a delicious classic American style breakfast. Since its away from the madness of 24th street in Noe Valley (one of the other Toast locations) its a nice option if youre looking for a more mellow place to chill.

I ate here twice because I was hungry and it was close. Both times I remember feeling like I should have walked a bit further and found something better (like MyMy). The quality of the food is not that different from what youd get from a cheap diner but the prices are higher. It seems like maybe it caters to a different demographic. The last time I was there, they were playing Never Gonna Give You Up without any hint of irony. No one seemed to notice that we were all being Rickrolled.

Maybe we came at a bad time. But we didnt get a welcoming vibe from the staff. Made us a bit uncomfortable honestly. Apparently our request for a cup of coffee, a soda, and a place to sit for 10 minutes to review work orders was a strange request. Although it wasnt busy, we got sat in the back by the kitchen. Thats alway a red flag to me. We finished our drinks and did our paperwork elsewhere. Im pretty sure this is a lovely place, but Ill pass

Toast is a Noe institution. Great menu, awesome customer service and for fair prices. Avoid peak hours over weekends as it tends to get fully packed (9am-2pm). My favourite: noe omelette. Areej and Kristi are nice and entertaining (apart from making you the best lattes ever)

Toast has great breakfast and lunch food with lots of vegetarian options. Ive enjoyed everything Ive tried in the dozen or so times Ive eaten here. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the food is on the pricier side for a diner.

Regular brunch food, but they do that well. Good service. Overall nothing outstanding, it seems to me you can do better (something more original) or cheaper (for similar food) somewhere else, so if there is a line it is not really worth the wait.

Delicious neighborhood brunch spot! They have few tables available, but it is definitely worth it (especially if you sit outside). They have delicious cocktails and a wide range of egg-based entrees for brunch. Very satisfied!

Great food. Great service. Reliable on a Sunday morning brunch and we werent pushed out the door after we had finished eating. A bit noisy if there are kids, for your information, but not a big deal since it is Noe Family.

The garlic fries alone are reason enough to check out Toast. They are easily the best garlic fries Ive ever had. The pulled pork sandwich was underwhelming though... Par for the course for BBQ in sf unfortunately.

Enjoyed that there were multiple veggie brunch options! They can substitute any egg scramble with tofu which is awesome for those of us who normally struggle to find non-egg, non-sweet breakfast options :)

No, theres no high-end cuisine here. It is, however, all super-solid comfort food for breakfast. Stand-outs include their corned-beef hash (which they make themselves!) and the Mission omlette.

A local favorite. They do the basics really well. Great quality food with a California twist. No BS- just good food and good service. A rare treat in this town!

Love this restaurant! The food is fresh and well prepared. The staff are all polite, friendly and efficient, you cannot ask for better than that.

Great and reliable neighborhood spot. I use it for two things, a relatively quick, reliable, Tuesday-night dinner OR a great weekend breakfast.

Solid brunch. And in a jam, the perfect place to pick up dinner on a night when youre too lazy to cook. Recommend the chicken fried steak.

Standard diner food that tends to be on the greasy side. We only eat here because its so close. Our daughter loves it, my wife hates it.
