If youre a Gig Harbor local, you know Hy-IU-Hee-Hee...or the Hi-you, as everyone calls it...Gig Harbors favorite sports/dive bar. Its where you go at midnight if you want to randomly run into people you kinda knew in high school. But I recently discovered they have one of the best breakfast menus in town...in contention for THE best. And its served every day, starting at 7am. They start you with a cup of fresh fruit, followed by a small waffle, so you dont starve while you review the menu. My personal favorite is the Hi-IU breakfast burrito. And its an excellent menu. Kids are welcome as well; my two-year-old loves it. It gets four starts only because its still an old-fashioned sports bar and feels like it, which is fine at 10pm, but a little awkward at 8am. And theres no view, in a town full of restaurants with fantastic views. But as for the service and food, its top notch.

Im happy a new owner is shaping this place back up. I was impressed with the new food menus, the size of the burgers and mozzarella sticks are huge!!! Also a plus with more big televisions. The one thing that us gizzard lovers had in the old management was the heaping amount of tasty gizzards, now you only get a quarter of the amount, and they are not tasty, i couldnt even eat them. Its also a bummer that a bar doesnt have chicken pieces on the menu(Chicken and beer goes together like peanut butter and jelly) i dont get it, but over all.. its cool here.

Nice place, good food, but the service was a little on the lacking side. We sat on the main entrance side of the bar and everyone else (the other 4-6 people that were there were on the other side of the bar so we got barely any service at all. We did here that the place was possibly getting new owners and I would like to ask if you could bring comedy nights back please. Those were some great nights when there used to be some comedians that would come in from time to time.

While the kitchen continues to crank out quality pub food, and the well-worn woodwork (NW log cabin style) adds homey warmth, the service has tanked over the last year. There is a female bartender with a serious attitude problem, and the immature waitresses seem really uninteresed in providing any pleasant help. I will still go, on occasion (like if there is decent live music lined up), but am bummed that this long-time local favorite has declined.

We sat down and ordered hamburgers, our drinks were brought to the table right away. Then we watched other guests sit down and order, then we watch them get their food. At the time when people who sat down several minutes after us were finishing their food we were told that they were behind. The food was good when we got it but the kitchen not so much. We live close by but will not eat there again

Been going for years but recently it has been declining fast . Went in for breakfast, had pancakes that were like rubber and tasted sour. Gave it a second try a week later, went in for lunch with a friend, we split a burger and frys and we literally got 12 frys on a plate to split! Burger was okay but definitely not worth 10 bucks! Overall it is going down hill fast.

Always good food, good drinks, fun atmosphere, clean, servers are very friendly and efficient. Highly reccomend this establishment! Sunday morning breakfasts are fantastic and Tuesday nights trivia hosted by Paula Sorgenfreii are always alot of fun. Children are allowed until 9 pm so it makes the perfect place for families to come in and have some pizza.

As some "interesting out of towners" just looking for a place with a good bite to eat, we came across Hy-lu-Hee-Hee and were pleasantly surprised by the local atmosphere, the friendly staff and most of all, the Tuesday night trivia. We had a tremendous time and will visit again next time were in the area. To the lovely waitresses, yes we will be back!

This was one of my favorite places when I moved here a while back, good pub food, great Rueben ... but undet the new ownership, all aspecs have really dropped off. The old saying " dont fix what aint broke" ring a bell? Been nice Hi U ... See ya.

My go to for a beer and a cheap but good meal. Its nothing spectacular but its a good atmosphere. I can stop by on my way home from work, beers on a Friday, or even a decent breakfast. Prices are great and the beer selection is even better.

New owners have really turned this place back into the gem it once was. Food is excellent, staff cares, and it is now very clean. A family friendly environment till 9, and the fun rolls on through the night. Great work JP!

Great atmosphere! but really slack service... Dont know what the issue is.. but the staff is very innattentive.. mostly young female waitresses who seem to spend all of their time gossiping and bickering with each other..

The best pizza Ive ~ever~ had. Extraordinary bacon. Quite good French toast and eggs. Great servers. Ability to control the jukebox with TouchTunes app. OTOH, acoustically quite loud when more than a few tables are in use.

Chicken fried steak breakfast was awful it was way over priced the steak wasnt even the size of a hamburger patty and it tasted like burnt oil and the gravy was as bland as Ive ever had it . I dont recommend that menu item

Great staff, fun trivia night! Tuesday nights from 6-8ish are ALWAYS packed here for the ever popular trivia night. Tough questions and even tougher competition makes for a couple hours per week of high enjoyment

I have eaten here for Breakfast numerous times. The waffles I ordered today were like rubber. Table service has always been terrible. With new owners hopefully there will be some positive changes

Pretty much a local sports bar. Nothing of great note. If you want to watch sports and drink out of the rain, this place will do.
