I went in to order something "to go." I am on travel and did not know that you cannot order something in a can (beer) to go. I made it clear when i ordered that I wanted my order to go and that I was "looking for something in a can." Well, long story short, the guy pointed to the chalkboard with all the beers and since he didnt understand what my intent, I ordered blackberry cider. Of course, he gave it to me in a glass which made me realized it was too late. I also gave him a 20% tip just because he seemed like a nice guy. Ignorant of the liquor laws in Washington state, I poured my beer into a paper cup, put a lid on it and took a straw. I then sat down to wait for the burger. In a few minutes, a staff person came over to me and said, "Um, you cant leave with that. You have to drink it here, etc. etc. etc. In fact she kept going over the same ground several times as if I was a 5 year old. I said, "I get it. I wont leave with it. Ill drink it here." Finally she went away. Then, the guy who took my order brought my burger to me and when he saw the "coke" cup he said, "Oh there must have been some miscommunication. You cant drink that out of a paper cup. I will have to get you a glass." At this point i was tired and frustrated and said, "I am not leaving with it. Do you want me to drink it in front of you?" Idiots. BTW- i use straw to drink everything, even coffee. That way your teeth do not get stained or discolored.

This place is AWESOME!!! Im super picky with burgers and I love this place. They have a unique repertoire of burgers and great craft beer on tap. They have Cajun seasoning you can gloriously shower your fries with and a bunch of different dipping sauces. Everything comes with BACON!!! As it should. Well not the beer, but wouldnt it be nice. Today I ordered an Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin beer, great stuff. I got the Jose Mendoza burger, which was Uber Delische. The music here doesnt sukk. Ive met some cool Metal Heads hear. The main selling point here in my opinion is the staff. They bus tables, ask you how your food is, ensure your satisfied, and offer to get you anything else, which I appreciate. Ive only been here three times, but will definitely return mainly because of the cool staff and atmosphere. They are nice, laid back, you can tell they enjoy their job, and are genuinely friendly, and funny. Plus they decorate for Halloween, which of course is the best Holiday EVER!!! And they were awesome enough to get in a picture with me. How many people would do that. This place is not a boring, stiff, stale, corporate hole. So check it out. Im glad I did.

(Vancouver location) Good burgers and unlimited fries. My go-to is the "fun guy" (grilled mushrooms and onions with swiss), but all of the burgers are good. HIGHLY consistent quality (Ive eaten here probably 50+ times over the past few years). Decent selection of beer/some ciders. Always hospitable/friendly staff. Theres always a short line during weekday lunch hours, but service is pretty fast. Typically no-waiting during off-hours. The theme is a bit dated/lame, but a welcome change from chain-saturated, wonder-bread Vancouver. Nice little touches like the rolls of paper towels at each table such as found in traditional barbecue restaurants. Ignore the reviews complaining about parking -its in a large strip mall lot with tons of parking and, gasp, sometimes you have to walk more than 20 feet from your parking space to where youre going. *My only major (unrealistic) complaint about this restaurant is that Im from Southern California, and I miss El Pollo Loco (which was originally in this building). Lol

Tried Killer Burger last night with family. Decided on burger with mushrooms and a bunch of other "stuff". My taste buds arent what they used to be; but, this burger was mediocre to me. It was doused with so much salt after my first bite I almost (and should have) taken it back for another burger. I observed a pan of bacon near the grill and the bacon appeared to have been cooked much earlier in the day and was dry, brittle and almost charred. Not too appetizing. I mentioned the liberal salting my burger received, and my granddaughter had the same problem, and was told "just ask for less salt the next time". Unfortunately there wont be a next time. Seems to me that under salting or no salting would be a solution. That way everyone could salt it to their own taste...........once its salted you can remove it; but, you can always add some if needed.

Wait time was about 30 minutes from the time I placed my order to me receiving my food. It wasnt super busy for the time of day, but waiting half an hour is kind of irritating. I ordered a fatty classic which is a double bacon cheeseburger, essentially. The burgers flavor was mediocre. Pretty much the entirety of the flavor came from the cheese and the toppings. Burger itself was almost tasteless. The fries were probably the best part about the meal. Really great fries. They were kind of stale from being in the open waiting for the burger though. The price was rather exorbitant for what you get. 16 dollars for a rather shoddy double cheeseburger, fries and a large drink. The atmosphere was pretty good. Fairly spacious eating spaces, great music that wasnt too loud, but this probably isnt a sit down with the kids type of place.

So I ate here for the first time today. I got the Roll Your Own burger with ham and egg bacon and jack cheese with the house sauce. After waiting 45minutes to get my burger I was instantly thrown back by the house sauce. It tastes like a mix between fermented thousand island dressing and a vinaigrette sauce. Not what I was expecting by any means. Once I scraped what I could off the next flavor that I was unimpressed by was the ham. It had a chemical flavor that I could not quite figure out so I took that off as well. The burger became edible at this point but had almost no flavor beside the dull roar of hamburger. there was no seasoning to the burger at all. I will give them this much, the fries were good but as for the burgers I would have to say Five Guys is a better burger even though the patties are smaller.

I think Killer Burger is my favorite place to get a burger in Vancouver. Its relatively quick, burgers are a great value, and a decent draft beer selection. Its an even better value if you come in for their killer hour between like 2-5 during the week for 5.95 burgers. All burgers come with bacon and unlimited fries - and I would much much rather come here than say Red Robin. If you havent had the peanut butter burger and you enjoy peanut butter and burgers, you must come try it. The rest of their burgers arent as weird sounding as that but have a particular topping or two that makes them interesting without seeming like they are trying hard to be unique. The staff is always really friendly and always helpful and upbeat. Its fun coming in because they seem so happy and put off a good vibe.
