Oh, The Goofy Goose!! Wow.. What can I say.. This is the best Teriyaki joint in all of the Tacoma area. A very friendly Korean family runs the place and the son of the owner actually spent some time talking about the history of the place and how it has been in the family a long time. They take great pride in producing authentic Teriyaki and use decent quality ingredients, free of all the additivies and junk you will find at many other places. They also make many of their own sauces. So many Teriyaki places make tasteless and overpriced food. These people here take pride in their restaurant and it shows in the quality of the food. The food at Goofy Goose always is very flavorful, the portions are quite large and the prices are very cheap for what you get. Also, the people are very friendly and you can expect them to be helpful when you do your order. They offer a wide variety of dishes and I am eager to try their burgers sooner or later, but I am always so happy with my Chicken Teriyaki dishes. Try the Chicken Breast Teriyaki with a Side of Veggies.. You will be pleased! P.S. This place also has the coolest name of any restaurant I have eaten at in Tacoma..

overwhelmingly soggy and creamy! first time here got the mushroom burger was expecting it to be awesome. the meat is and fries are great however if you are a texture person like me you will be highly turned off by the soggy mushy bun. all the sauce dripping the mushy mushrooms the gooey melted cheese and creamy mayo. sorry i tell it like it is. maybe this burger would be good more simplified. but for me i could barely eat it. and a hole tore through the paper from all the gooey mess oozing out of the burger.

Menu board decrepit old school plastic board with peg letters. Interior clean but not altogether modern or welcoming. Burger decent. Produce fresh but extremely bland & generic with iceberg lettuce and beefsteak tom. Other clientele did not strike me as "food discerning". Found getting 98¢ counted out in change, for a $10 meal, very telling (when combined with my other comments) re: the priorities of this establishment. Filled a pressing need to eat. Many other joints nearby to still try.

I just had an exceptional double cheeseburger and fries. The fries were thin and crispy. The burger was flavorful, perfectly cooked and expertly assembled. The burgers are my favorite.here, but the fried rice is awesome and you can easily feed two people from a single order. Thanks, Goofy Goose! Youve been Goofy for 55 years. I hope youre always a part of Tacoma.

This is not a date-night restaurant. This is a "kids need quick meal; moms been working all day" restaurant. But, that said, its tasty, quick, they are always friendly and clean, and the food tastes good. It is not fast-food sameness. Theres always something you havent yet tried. Oh, and one of the best won ton soups Ive ever had.

Went inside expecting the goofy goose of my childhood, and was surprised to find a totally remodeled resturant. The host was very nice, and offered us free drinks for waiting (wait was not very long) food was excelent, well priced and very large portions. Will absolutley return!

Teriyaki, burgers... and what I like most of all here: Korean food like Bulgogi. Id love to see the Goofy Goose embrace its Korean vibe more and offer Bi Bim Bap and Ban Chan... I think the area would appreciate it ! Staff here is nice without being overly fawning.

The food was really good. The quantity of food you get for the price is totally worth it. You could almost feed two people from one dish. It was smaller than i expected, but was cozier in a way. I enjoy coming here frequently and havent had any problems or complaints.

The teriyaki is so good and the burgers are a must try! The food is so fresh and delicious! Ive been eating here for over 5 years and havent had any other teriyaki restraunt come close to the quality, taste and price!

My five stars are not compared to Asada, but compared to other small teriyaki and burger joints. For the price, its great. The teriyaki burger is the best. Nice staff, good price - what more could you want?

Great spot in central Tacoma. Try the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, very good. Calling ahead is the hot tip if youre picking up. Employees/owners are friendly.
