This is my familys restaurant so I may come off a little bias, but what the heck. I am currently working here, and I know the food is fresh, flavorful, and delightful. This Happy Family Restaurant is our second, the first being the one in Battle Ground which is the towns favorite Chinese restaurant. Happy Family Restaurant Vancouver is located in the same New Seasons plaza as the Safeway on 112th and Burton Road. We offer complementary hot tea and soup with meals, and sometimes even complementary dessert. Our staff is amazing, and customers love us for how friendly we are, and the delicious food we serve. We also offer a great variety of Chinese food to choose from. The Crispy Garlic Chicken and Pong Pong Chicken are two of the customer favorites, and of course theres the staple food like BBQ Pork, Fried Rice, Lo Mein Noodles, etc., and delicacies such as Crispy Salted Pepper Squid, and so much more. The food portions are great, and the prices are affordable. Lunch is the most economical time to come in if you would like to try our food for the first time to see if your palette is compatible with our flavors.

Okay placed a to go order. Wanted different meats as sides. The idiot that answered the phone and took my order made every side a meal... Needless to say when I came in to get my to go order my bill was a couple dollars shy of 100.00! When I questioned the bill she explained what she did and made me feel bad they would have to throw away the extra food they screwed up by not placing my order correctly. I ended up paying 80.00 and now have about 12 full boxes of Chinese food that will have to be eaten in the next 4 to 5 days..i would also like to mention she held my debit card hostage until I agreed to a price for the food... Very unprofessional, very disappointed..

Excellent food. Large menu with vegetable, pork, chicken, beef and shrimp Chinese food. Specialty includes Pong-pong Chicken and it is the best Pong pong Ive ever had. Hot & sour soup and egg flower soup were both fresh made and very good. Full service bar with large screen TVs for watching sports. Both indoor and outdoor seating available during summer. Plenty of parking. Casual atmosphere. Friendly and outgoing staff. Couples and solo diners mostly. Also good for Family dining, as the name suggests. Large portions, excellent quality, fast and friendly service at very affordable prices. Also offers ever changing lunch specials at value prices.

I ordered two meals to go, and went and picked them up. The food was expensive for the two combo orders that i ordered and the amount of food that i recieved. I could have picked any other chinese food resteraunt and paid half as much and got twice the food!!! When i got home, we attempted to eat the food and it was so flavorless, stale and disgusting we threw it out after only a few bites. My GeneralTsos tasted like crap, the chicken was dry , the outer layer tasted like it had been deep fried and soaked up too much grease... DISGUSTING!!!!! I will never order from this place again....

The food here was decent, but the Sweet and Sour Pork I had tasted like it was made a day or two before, the food came almost instatly after we ordered which made me think it was not made to order but just heated up in the microwave. The breading of the pork was soggy and the piece of pork inside was very small, so all you could taste was the soggy breading. The Pork Chow Mein I got tasted like steamed vegetables and all the vegetables tasted like celery. If you want good, fresh Chinese food, go to the Lucky Garden Restaurant on Mill Plain.

I ordered pork fried rice, orange chicken, and egg flour soup. All of these items are what I would consider basic Staples at a Chinese restaurant but they were all disappointing. The orange chicken had barely any orange flavor, and yet there were big chunks of orange peel which was weird. The fried rice had very little flavor, it wasnt even properly salted. The egg flower soup was rather flavorless as well. Also the order took longer than they said.

I am a very picky eater. I make most this at home and from scratch so always disappointed when I eat out. A friend suggested we try Happy Family and so glad we did. This is by far the best Chinese food I have ever tasted. The food is fresh and the sauces wonderful. It is a tad on the spendy side but I will pay for the quality over and over again. I refuse to eat Chinese any where else.

Great, attentive service. Chinese food is below mediocre. We ordered egg foo young, chicken salad, calamari, pork fried rice, orange chicken, and vegetable lo mein. The lo mein was the best dish. Orange chicken and calamari was too breaded. Egg foo young tasted more like a patty. Chicken salad didnt look appetizing with the chicken strips over salad greens.

Chinese food is amazing, the American food is amazing. This little joint is my favorite place to hang out, have good food and unwind. The head cook is constantly coming up with new and delicious specials. The RIBEYE is mind blowing. Steak Night is my absolute favorite. It changes and comes on a whim, so make sure you know when it will happen.

I love this restaurant, along with the original in Battle Ground. My favorites are the pong pong chicken, and szechuan chicken (dry style - that means breaded & fried with sauce / wet style is stir fry, not breaded). The fried rice and lo mein are both good. Their crab puffs are the best Ive found anywhere.

Didnt like the egg foo young. It was cooked like a hockey puck. I took one bite and when I was asked "" You dont like???"" I said no it was overcooked. She took my plate and never offered me somthing else or a refund. Worst Chinese food ever. Unless they ate trying to make it Chinese food from Ireland.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times and we LOVE their food. The Pong Pong Chicken is my favorite and I havent had a bad experience since we started coming here. The food is always fresh, hot and crispy. Our food came with soup and hot tea aswell. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. :)

First time I ate in, I was pleased. Second time... Not so happy. My family and I decided to give it another chance and took a walk to eat there because it said open until 10pm, Why when we showed up no one was there and they had closed three hours early. Not to happy with this local place anymore.

I am not a big fan of Chinese food. It is my least favorite type of Asian restaurant. With that in mind the food is above average but tell me a Chinese restaurant in Vancouver that is any better. This simply is a 5 star review based on the service, drinks, and atmosphere.

I love this Chinese restaurant, the cozy chair and great service makes me feeling like hometown. Of course, the Chinese food there is also wonderful. Patient waitress gave us a suitable recommendation. I will try their bar for next time!

We love coming here. Their lunch special is an excellent deal with soup, an appetizer, main dish and rice. We love the garlic and lemon chicken dishes. Speedy and friendly service.
