What is WRONG with all these reviews? Granted every single Chinese restaurant in Vancouver Ive been to either was an utter disappointment right off the bat or did it my second or third time there, be it for miserable sanitation performance (Taste of Asia), using rotten vegetables as ingredients (Star House), deplorable behavior of the staff/owners (Dragon King and Yummy Mongolian Grill), or the epic failure of the cuisine (Canton buffet, The House of Beijing - do they even know the definition of curry?), but thats no reason to lower your standards just so you can rate the first semi-adequate one highly. And its every single review! Hasnt a single one of you ever been outside the city limits? Honestly, I went out of my way after seeing these reviews, thinking "Aha! THIS is the one. There wont be anything wrong THIS time." But alas. This is one of those places where they dont serve you at a table, but rather you stand behind the glass and point to what you want and they give you a scoop of this or that. Which doesnt necessarily detract from the quality of the food. But this was a choice of one type of glop or another. How appropriate that it be dished out by the scoop like ice cream. The meat wasnt exactly the best pieces of leanest meat. The vegetables, as sparse as they were, were going bad. As in dark mushy spots, let me be clear about that, just like what you can expect at the "Star House" by the way. And what they call "extremely hot", I call "unflavored". Somehow even the jar of peppers in oil at the table that you could ladle over your food in addition if you want was bland. Maybe they boiled the taste out of them before putting them in there. We wouldnt want those silly Americans to burn their little tonguie-wungies, now would we? One thing to notice, however, is that you pay a dollar extra for "2 selections".... but you get the same amount of stuff if you dont pay the dollar extra. You get 2 scoops of the same thing, so I guess you get nothing but a little more variety (hypothetically - there didnt seem to be much difference between the different types of glop as far as I could tell) for that extra money.

Behind a seemingly simple exterior lied a place with amazing service. Our server was so wonderful and friendly! She offered us free samples of most of the entrees, all of which were super delicious. I ended up deciding upon a combination of chow main and fried rice, with kung pao chicken and salt and pepper chicken, and my boyfriend had the beef and broccoli and the manderin chicken. It was so super delicious and flavorful, much more so than I might have expected, especially for a total price of only fourteen dollars for the two of us including a drink! If you want a good, cheap Chinese place, look no further. Youve found it. Its great. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and i come here as much as we can. Ive been coming here for years and absolutely love it, Im actually about to leave to go to Golden China after i write this :) (not joking) Everything there is good, the customer service is amazing, and you get a lot for a little. I highly recommend coming here if you havent already AND have family or friends that are visiting from out of town that love chinese food, come here. - Daryl

On the outside, it looks like a roach motel and I was always worried about going in there. Now, its pretty much the ONLY place I go for Chinese food. Staff is always incredible, food is always delicious and fresh, place is immaculate... and best of all it is REALLY cheap for what it offers. Always leaving full and happy. Its my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place to eat in ANY part of the US.

My experience is always amazing when I enter the doors to Golden China. For the money I spend on their food, theres always leftovers for the next day. Ive brought my family and friends there and they have continued to keep going as well. I love Golden China and the people who work there.

Definitely worth it! Dont be misled by the outside appearance. The prices and food quality are awesome, our serving sizes were huge, and the woman that served was very nice. I read a review before we went that said "just like Panda Express only better" and I couldnt agree more.

I was surprised at how good the food was, considering that I didnt hear great reviews about that place. But I would recommend it. WAY BETTER then Panda by far. Not greasy at all, Great Portions. Try the Salt and Pepper Chicken its bomb. Owner is Sweet.

Went to day with my sister and everything was very clean and fresh. Im very impressed of how well they take pride in their restaurant. The food was done very well. The staff was very pilot. I will be returning with my family. Thank you Golden China.

Love this place. Dont visit often because its on the other side of town, but when I do they always recognize me. Food is tasty and quality/flavor is very consistent. Tons of food and the price is right. I would highly recommend.

Food wasnt even average. It tasted like I was ordering chinese food from the Safeway deli. I wouldnt recommend. We were criticized by employees because it was our first visit. The best part of the meal was the pepsi.

The ladies who work there are so nice and friendly. The food is at a great price and good tasting. Think Panda express style service, but cheaper and better. More sugary then spicy. Yummmy I could eat it all day!

best Chinese food you can get in Vancouver Washington. Try the General Tsos chicken it is excellent. Ive been going here since 2001. Ask for Angela her and her husband are the owners. Her husband is the cook.

I love Golden China. The people are very nice and the food is amazing. I usually get a number 2 with fried rice, orange chicken and sesame chicken. You have to go there. It is a great Chinese Food Restaurant.

Was not happy with anything but the noodles. The steak was squishy like a whole lot of preservatives in it. The teriyaki chicken was not done. Orange chicken was dry. Just being honest. Will not go back.

This is your average Panda express style fast food except the food is cheaper and the place is messy. When I got there, the food was a bit dry. Yes, they are more generous than Panda Express.

Restaurant is sort of like panda express, but tasted authentic. 3 stars because it lacked a lot of flavor. Good pricing and portions. We had orange, teriyaki and mandarin (best of the 3) chicken.

Okay, this is not authentic by any means, but as far as "American Chinese food" goes, there is none better than Golden China. Everything is always fresh, and the staff are always super friendly.

Im way picky especially about 4th Plain restaurants but was pleasantly suprised by Golden China. Clean, super friendly service, and really good fresh tasting food.
