Old smokefilled bar meets low grade greasy chinese food joint. I ordered sweet & sour ribs, sweet & sour chicken, and the chow mein. Chow mein became a mop of grease, the S&S chicken was actually okay, but the ribs were drowned in sauce that there was no possible way to eat it since the sauce was so savory it made your mouth go dry; not to mention there were little to no ribs to be had. More like sweet and sour bone. Anyways I slept for 4 hours after eating here like I had some sort of food hangover.

The portions here are HUGE. You get your moneys worth in food and my Date and I enjoyed the uncrowded yet friendly setting. The Orange Chicken and Sweet and Sour Shrimp were awesome. The restaurant also has a bar attached and you can have a drink and do Karaoke if you feel the need. Were definitely coming back here!

Great food and service, Ive been eating here since childhood. Our family lived in the St Johns area in the 50s/60s. Even though management changed many years ago it has not lost the charm of a 30, 40s Chinese style restaurant.

I usually get a few solid cheap wells and a little bit of fried food to go along with it. food is cheap but mediocre, bar is dark, never sat in dining room. I go from time to time but pass if there is karaoke.

As always, great food, stiff drinks. Sweet and sour sauve is like none other. I now come from Vancouver to have them. Best Chinese in portland. Dont let the bar flys scare you away. Absolutely awesome!!!

So got take out and did not get what we expected, ordered general tso but got sweet and sour, egg rolls were strange. Idk we are new to the area and maybe things are called different things here

Took them 5 minutes to cook 7 dishes, and made me pay full price for completely flat soda. Id take any fast food joint over this place since its just as quick to make, and much cheaper.

The wishing well is a great choice for any day, with big portions of food, and home made sauces ( best sweet and sour ever! ) Great place to eat.
