Food is perfect. The old lady doesnt like take out costomers. She got mad at me. Go in. Youll see. Go into the dive bar. Not the lounge. They dont answere the bell. Terrible costomer svc. She was really rude. If u want the story ill tell ya. Sometimes when I go in I have to sit down and eat for a minute so then I get a couple bites and before I get called back into work and sometimes I dont get called back into work right away so Ill get to finish my whole entire meal but when she came over this time she gave me an attitude like every time and she said why do you always order a to-go box if you sit down and eat and I told her because sometimes I have to leave for work if I am called in earlier because sometimes my clients will show up earlier and Ill have to go in so after that she got on the phone and started talking to whoever was on the phone about me and saying I dont know why she gets the to go boxes that cost me money and sometimes when I go in I have to sit down and eat for a minute so then I get a couple bites and before I get called back into work and sometimes I dont get called back into work right away so Ill get to finish my whole entire meal but when she came over this time is she gave me an attitude like every time and she said why do you always order a to go box if you sit down and eat and I told her because sometimes I have to leave for work if I am called in earlier because sometimes my clients will show up earlier and Ill have to go its so after that she got on the phone and started talking to whoever was on the phone about me and saying I dont know why she gets the to go boxes and the meal is only 595 and she always sits down and just started going off about me said the to go boxes that cost me money and I basically told her do you want me to leave Ill take my business with me

****the people in the pics are "NOT" part of this review**** 5 stars for dive bar for sure! But.... recently Ive noticed one bar tender charges more$$$$$$ than others for the exact same drink/ meal. Take for instance I go in and order 3 items. 2 well drinks and food. The following week its another BT and the order is the same but this time its $7 or more higher. Just saying! So I started only ordering drinks. Same verbiage. . Tall..double.. and with one particular BT, it still came up $3 more per drink . PER DRINK. And I tip so whats the deal with the inconsistancy? I would hate to ask for an itemized receipt before I pay my tab! Or i could do what I see ppl do all of the time which is to pay with cash and leave the change. Over all the BTs make excellent drinks and my meal orders are always on point and generous portions. The place is a dive lives up to its reputation lol but its still a good place to lay low and not be bothered.

First off, we ordered from here for delivery from GrubHub, which is awesome! We actually live less than a mile from here, but didnt even know about it (we rarely drive on Barbur in that direction) until we saw it as an option. We ordered the walnut shrimp, Hong Kong chow fun, and beef with snow peas dishes. The shrimp was crispy, even after being enclosed in a to-go container and driven over. The sauce was sweet, which I expected, and reminded me of a pina colada in sauce form. The beef and chow fun dishes had a lovely mix of vegetables, and both had huge portions that filled the entire to-go boxes. Were very happy with our food and will definitely order delivery again. We may even dine in sometime! Will take photos next time.

The big fat bartender is dumb. Doesnt read the order back and takes 5 mins just to get to you. Took order wrong and didnt make it right. Said why the bleep should I fix it. Were trying to run a business .. Well bud the only business your running is into the ground. Negative expieriance and the food isnt even authentic. I hope the owner fixes this quickly. This dude has got to go.

This is for the bar side. Sizable establishment with friendly staff for the most part, entree portions are huge. Try the "Happy Meal", a PBR pint and shot of Brokers whiskey for $5. Outside smoking porch, multiple pool tables, video poker to blow your child support money on, TouchTunes jukebox with respectable selection of hip hop to annoy the older patrons.

My pan fried noodles were dry and flavorless. I never got the extra vegetables i ordered. The vegetable beef was swimming in sauce. The orange chicken was eh...tried again 4 months later still the same plus the beef had a strange taste to it. Give 0 stars if i could

The place may look iffy, but the food is really good and the drinks are priced right. No ones measuring shots either...... After reading some of the reviews, it seems that some people are biased by the places non- hip appearances. Dont be a fool, and try it.

Happy Fortune is a family favorite. The portions are generous and we always know we will enjoy our meal. Usually not very crowded in the restaurant, but the bar stays busy and theres a lot of take-out orders during most of my visits.

Weve ordered take out from them 4 times, and each time is equally disappointing. Everything is greasy and gross. The fried rice is awful. Never again. Why cant any other Chinese restaurants in the area have online menus?

I once read a review of this place and someone said the sweet and sour chicken is bland. Yeah, it is, you ordered chicken nuggets with ketchup. Try Michaels shrimp. Trust me, I used to live across the street.

Fresh ingredients make for the best American-Chinese in town. Plus the lunch specials are unbelievably well-priced. General Tsos is top pick. The moo shoo veg is also fantastic. Beers are great priced too.

A fun bar with great Chinese food and a friendly unpretentious crowd. Shoot pool, listen to loud music on the juke box, and get great healthy fresh food at 1:30AM. A night owls paradise.
