overall experience was alright. until an off duty employee announced he was going to the bathroom before he left and then upon leaving the restaurant decided to put his hands on me and use me as a tool to dry off on aparantly. I didnt say a word to this guy all night as he worked or did whatever but he felt obligated to put his hands on me and say goodbye. as a person who suffers from ocd and really tries to avoid physical contact with others that i know , let alone strangers Ive never met before and even more after they use a rest room and then put their clammy hands all over me and then on my girlfriend. i think Im just more mad at myself for not saying something at the time but had to sit a little in shock before i could even react. i dont think ill go back. well, at least until they learn to keep their hands to themselves!!!

While this place is what my hubby calls "a step in the right direction for Vancouver", it is a bit lacking in identity. Still, we would come again for the drinks. The seating area seems like its trying to have a bar side and family side, but with no partition or seperation, the family side tableclothsseem out of place. The menu is pretty o.k. Lots of variety, but maybe too much variety. Is it trying to be Southern? Mexican? Small plates? Menu needs a little direction and clarity. Macalfredo? I mean, really? Just pick one! Also, canned creamed corn sitting on top of two tortillas is not a quesedilla, my friends. The price point is fair, service was fine. If they amp up the food and take the tablecloths off, theyll be in great shape!

Every day I would pass this place on my way home from work and see all these cars in the parking lot. I thought it was just a pub for folks to get a drink and so I wasnt that interested. I mean I like drinks but not just drinks as the main thing to do. But then one day I was using Yelp to find a good place to have dinner and this place showed up. So I took a closer look. They had good food. Who woulda thought? A few days later when a group of friends were deciding where to eat we decided to give this a try. I ordered something I had not really seen on a typical menu. Pepper Chicken and dumplings. It was soo good. The waitress said that was her favorite too. The others in my group had other stuff and they liked theirs as well. Im going back.

Fantastic food! Really great service. The menu is varied with a down home flair. But well prepared and thought out palate. They dont make the mistake many restaurants like this do by just making the puritans huge and heavily salting everything. There is delicacy and nuance to some old comfort foods along with a nod to NW fare. Its difficult to get in on weekends. We waited quite a while just to park. But were seated right away. So if you can Uber or Lyft there its recommended.

Extremely loud in this bar and the staff yells at you. They are rude, and cant be bothered. Waitstaff that has been there since it opened still dont know the menu and cant remember a beer list. They take forever to come back to the table until its time to pay the bill then they want you out fast. Tehy are trying to be high class but fall flat on their faces

Nice spot with a great beer and food menu. We sat on the patio on a nice sunny day and enjoyed visiting with other guests and their furry friends (dogs welcomed). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didnt get to try a cocktail this time, but I overheard someone saying that their Margarita was excellent. Well be back!

Only reason its not five stars is because everything on the menu has some form of bacon, pork, etc on it acting as the most flavorful ingredient. They are more than willing to take it off, and it still tastes amazing, but cant five star a restaurant which gives all of their best tasting adjectives to pork/bacon.

We brought a large party to Frontier Public House for a work outing. Management was very helpful in accommodating us. The decor is rustic and cute, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious! I recommend the chicken and dumplings! The also have a great selection of local beers and ciders on tap.

Jessica is pretty AND sweet....a good and patient server. The food is very good and plenty of it. Try the chicken fried oysters. The restrooms are clean and stocked; yes, you get warm water. My only complaint would be the ugly concrete floors. but it does seem to be the rage. Go there.

A delightful surprise in an unlikely location. The chicken fried oysters were excellent--seasoned perfectly with a nicely spicy remoulade. Wedge salad was generous with tasty chunks of blue cheese and thick cut bacon. Friendly, fast service. Creative drink menu. We will be back!!

Food is amazing! Service is great! Best drinks in town (or even Portland!) thanks to William the magical bartender. Its a bit splurgy but one of those rare times where you get what you pay for and its worth it! My new favorite local spot. Havent had anything yet I havent liked.

Totally surprised. Drove by this place for three years thinking it was a dumpy bar. But, no! Inside, its classy. And, the food is excellent. The jalapeño poppers are made with lots of real bacon, the kabobs were super tender and juicy. All had lots of flavor.

Food was delicious atmosphere was great. Waited 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken and then 45 min wait for our food. My friend got a salad and I got 2 appetizers. The place was busy but I think they only had one cook. On Sunday... At a brunch place...

A fun and friendly atmosphere with great food, especially the kabobs, and some creative cocktails make this a great hang out. The only thing missing is a few more wait staff as the service can be slow, so make sure youre not in a hurry.

This place is exactly what Vancouver is needing more of! Fabulous food! Amazing, hand crafted drinks, and wonderful, trendy ambiance. Thank you Frontier Public House for giving us a great "foodie" experience without crossing the river!

I go into every new restaurant wanting an experience like you get here. Food was top notch...not a single thing wrong. In fact, it was a delight on every level - food, service, cocktails and dessert. I almost dont want you to go.

Good food, I had driver by multiple times over the years and not even know the place was there. Fried green tomato appetizer was fun to try. You wouldnt expect the lively atmosphere inside from the exterior look of the building.
