After having a long day at work my friend and I decides to have a drink. The bouncer at the door (he white and looks like its either a birth mark or someone knocked him out in his face either way hes rude with a male complex) the bouncer states that they will be closing early mind you its only 11:30pm and hes eating at the door. I said no worries I just want a drink anyways had a long day at work, now I dont know what he heard but he started going off on how no one disrespect him like that whoa pause face (mind you we still havent got passed the id check) my friend and I was like hes tripping and thats just horrible customer service when I didnt even say anything disrespectful or rude your eating at the door them telling me you closing early what type of establishment are they operating over here. So my friend and I left ASAP. I use to come here all the time two years ago now I see why I stopped coming bouncers like him. so sorry but ya lost me as a customer I know I will never go back and I will make sure none of my crew of friends/family/folks well never step foot in this establishment again

So cassie is prolly one of the worst servers me and my girlfriend have ever met. We walk up to the bar and she took forever to say anything to us. Then we ask can we order and she points to another side and says this side is for if you dont have a table. We say we do, then she said, "Oh. Well then go to it and Ill be right with you." This would have been fine if we were not standing right in front of her, ready to order. We mention this saying, "Well since we are talking to you now, can we order?" and her words were "No, go sit down." We said "We dont understand why not take the order if youre talking to us right now in front of your terminal." she then repeated herself and said "go sit down" and walked away just as fast as her etiquette and hospitality. Idk what type of establishment allows someone to talk in such a way to paint customers, but I can tell you any place like this wont receive my money any time soon. Nor a good rating.

love going to this place until they started the dj dance crap . this is the first place I wanted to go when I turn 21 years old because my brother use to go hangout in there and that was 22 years ago . I think 1 of the things I appreciate the most is when the owner walks through the pcs you without a beer or a need something he doesnt send a waitress or a bartender over it he does it takes care of you him self . thats the kind of service a keeps me coming back I dont live in lakewood anymore but I do stop in every once in awhile

My fiancé and I went for lunch recently and left pretty satisfied. The service was great and our waitress was very nice and attentive, however our food was served on paper plates on weird, wobbly baskets. Its not a big deal, but when I sit down in a restaurant for a meal I dont think a real plate is too much to ask for. My sandwich was good, but nothing special. Over $4 for a domestic beer seems ludicrous to me, but being new to WA maybe thats just the norm.

I have been going to the Schooner for 10+ years. While the place could use a little updating, I still think its great and will continue coming back. The food is great, the bartenders are awesome, security is even better, and the waitresses are on top of it. Yes it caters to military, but what do you expect with it being in a military town? I will continue to come back here until whenever I am too old or it closes down.

Mike runs a tight ship.... Very friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. The food is even better. My husband John and I love it here. We come here for the prime rib, the tacos, and the pizza. The food is great. Mike and his crew are absolutely awesome.

The Schooner is probably my favorite place to go. Great to go to hang out with friends or to just grab something to eat and watch the game. We have mostly been there on weekdays and they are never over crowded or over priced.

Waitress was drunk and food tasted like bleach. Bar service was good. Bathrooms were clean but aged. I was also there during a slow part of day. Still. This bar is trying hard and leans towards pleasing the military.

The new owner is rude, the security is rude. I used to love all of the old staff. Atmosphere is laid back, drinks are good prices. Will not return with current staff.

Loved it. Staff was great and attentive. I live in the area and it is my to go place. Ask for Lara, great server. Never needed a drink, she was on the spot.
