This is a great public house, quite a few people that frequent this place are locals. There is ample seating for small or large groups, a full bar, and an entire half of the place that has games galore (darts, pool, shuffle board, Foosball, internet jukebox, & board games.) In addition they have televisions behind the bar and a large projection screen for game days and corny older movies shown later at night. There is always a good selection of beers and ciders on tap and in bottles, the food is delicious and they serve it all night which really comes in handy if you find yourself there later in the evening with a craving for good pub/restaurant fare. There is a flight of stairs to get up to the pub and I dont believe they have an elevator so it isnt wheelchair accessible.

The Sellwood Public House is a fun, cozy place to hang out. The food is fabulous, tonight i had roasted red jalapenos with a cream cheese and bacon filling, fish tacos that were amazing and apple pie made by the owners mom...no really, i dont care if the guy was lying...it was really the best apple pie ive had (sorry mom). My week was really long so i couldnt wait to just chill out and have a beer. The beer list was ample and had a bunch of stuff i hadnt ever tried. The bartender that helped me was funny and didnt mind talking to me even though she was sort of busy...she let me have a taste of a few beers i was deciding between. I really just had a great time, tomorrow im going to play ping pong and watch the Timbers match. GREAT time, ill be going back!

Their brunch is decent enough. Unfortunately, its only decent, and theyre not a brunch place. The service can be pretty terrible: The last straw was when we went there recently and our waiter said hed be to the table in a minute for orders, after ten one of us went up and asked; they didnt serve our drinks without a reminder; our food went to the wrong table late; the waiter made no attempt to apologize and took his time getting the food to us, and somewhere in there he made fun of us within earshot with one of the apparent regulars. The bar food was pretty sub-par for PDX. There are lots of places around where you can get beer and decent food and service for dive-y prices, but this isnt one.

I come across town from the west side to hang out at this public house! The beer & liquor selection is great, and the food is good. I especially like the pan fried oysters and the "Bleu Balls". :-) The game room has a large number of bristle dart boards (for steel tip darts) as well as offering Ping-Pong and card tables. They are rebuilding a shuffleboard, and soon that will be available as well. But the main reason I come all the way out to SPH is because of the staff. Owner Jason (who runs the place along with his dad), his fiancé Lisa, and the rest of the staff I have met (Hannah, Becka & James) are all great!

I am not a beer person at all, but the Stout that they have there is soooo yummy! They even run out of the stuff! There are also other local brews, just not my my taste personally, they also have a full bar, and make some pretty good mixed drinks as well. The staff is really nice, and what food i have had there it pretty good. I hear the pizza is really good, but have yet to try it. I have been there quite a few times and will be back many more. Its a great place I love it!

As a 60 year old mother and grandmother that is a small business owner i eat out every day of the week. There is no exception. I have to take a moment to say that I just had the opportunity to try the HOMEMADE from scratch Hot Chocolate and it is the best I have ever had. Yes it even beats the memory of a child when ( on a very rare occasion ) my Grandmother would make it. You deserve to treat yourself to a deliciohs bowl of scratch soup and hot chocolate soon!

The beer selection is good, as is the food, but the beer tastes as if the taps have never been clean. This is disappointing because they regularly have Double Mountain IRA on tap. Ive had so many bad experiences with their beer (the beer comes out foggy - like there is a raw egg in it) that I cant drink it anymore. The service is mediocre - I get the feeling like the staff are over worked and need more back up help.

Since the ownership change (about 1 year ago) this place has improved in every way. The food is very good. I highly recommend you try the pork chop. But you really wont be disappointed with anything. Everybody there is friendly and helpful. There is a local feel and a very friendly atmosphere. With three screens it makes it a nice place to watch the game as well. Stop by and you wont be disappointed.

I believe management has recently changed, it seems to be for the better. The past two times Ive been there, the food was a lot better than I expected it to be, and they have twelve local beers on tap that rotate frequently. Not much of a wine drinker, I didnt pay attention, but Im under the impressions the wines are also local. Decor-wise, its not much to look at, but that shouldnt stop you.

We went to SPH for dinner tonight and really enjoyed our meal! They have excellent pub fare. Our table shared some great Asian chicken wings. I had a nice, spicy Bloody Mary and a HUGE BLT. They also had a really good apple pie! The staff are also super nice and attentive. I think SPH has really turned into a great little local for Sellwood. :) Definitely recommended.

This local watering hole has become one of my favorite places to go. All the staff members are intentive, friendly and provide great service. The food is a must have and the entertainment is top notch. You have darts, corn hole, ping pong, pool and my personal favorite shuffle board. Take the time to check this place out and you wont be disappointed!

Found this place on a whim online so i checked it out. They dont have dealers, so the players deal (poorly) the players themselves are a bunch of stupid donkeys that call with any two cards. If you are even somewhat serious about poker, dont ever go here. However, if you barely know the game, this may as well be heaven. I will not go back

I love this bar. I have been coming here 4-6 days a week for the last several months, and for good reason: the stellar bartenders, the quality and selection of food, and the general atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship. I recommend this spot relentlessly, and I think you will see what I see in it as well.

Used to live in Milwaukie and this place was my jam. I moved a bit further away but still come here when I can. The staff (esp. Lisa) are the best, and I think the fish and chips, tacos here are among best in town. Great beer on tap, and plenty of screens to catch Blazers/Seahawks/Timbers games.

Great place to bar game with friends, they have one pool table, one ping pong (no one cares if you suck) table and more then a dozen dart boards. Food is typically bar fare with flare, not much for gluten free or vegan but there are options. The staff is funny, musically inclined, and friendly.
