Anyone who says the Canton Chinese Buffet is the best Chinese restaurant ever has never been outside of Vancouver, was born with rose-colored retinas, and lived his whole life subsisting on plastic food on top of that. This place had VERY few remotely "ethnic" dishes (or dishes with any protein content for that matter). About all I could find was curry that was LITERALLY just like rubber. So I can see how after having eaten plastic food all their lives, someone might view it as a vast improvement. Rubber is much chewier than plastic after all. From urban Illinois to rural North Carolina, Ive never been to a place like this town with such vast quantities of purely sub-adequate Chinese restaurants before coming to Vancouver. So I give it 3 stars instead of 2, because if youre stuck in Vancouver for your Chinese food, among all I have tried, this is clearly the best youre going to get, and despite the impression it left on me that the food had been left unattended and out all day, it got a surprisingly good sanitation review from the City of Vancouver. Maybe I went there on an off-day, but by golly, thats a lot of off-days of a lot of Chinese restaurants Ive seen in this friggin town.

My girlfriend and I went here last night for our 2 year anniversary. We have been here quite a few times and enjoyed the food. We went up to the register to pay, our total was $27.43. We paid with a $100 dollar bill because we only had a $20 and a couple ones. The gal gave us $45.00 back. Before even making it to our cars we realized that we had just gotten shorted our change back. $27.27 to be exact. I went inside to get this resolved and they begin saying that we had gone outside and she could check camera, I told her fine do it. She then said she would have to contact her boss. They told me to step aside to help other customers in line which was very rude, I was a customer with a problem. She then tried shorting the gentleman that was behind me but he caught it. They basically werent trying to resolve this issue and taking their sweet time, I got beyond frustrated and finally said fine keep the 30 dollar tip. I have never had an issue with them, their customer service is horrible and I still cant believe they tried making me feel like I was the one lying. I do not recommend going here.

I have been here more times than I can count even with the cons I have listed we still come back here. Its not like Kings Buffet is any better and there are no other good Chinese buffets to even mention in Vancouver, WA. Pros: The food here is pretty good. As with any Buffet you have to go during busy hours for the freshest food. Some what limited in choices if you have ever been to a really big buffet house. But still enough choices even for the picky eaters. Cons: This place is very dirty looking. The restrooms are hideous and filthy looking, (which makes you wonder about the kitchen). There have been a number of times that we have had to ask for a rag to re-wipe the table. The floors are always sticky. The whole place needs a serious Face Lift! Some times this place just so gross that I dont ever want to come back! But then I am talked back into it somehow. This is an honest take from someone who has been in the restaurant business. I honestly dont know how they dont have bad Health code scores.

Went here the other day. I was greeted with its not lunch no more so more money ok? Sure I said. I asked for a coke they dont have coke so I got water. Went to the buffet grabbed some food sat back down no water or silverware... not a big deal Im a sucker for sweet and sour chicken so I grabbed a piece took a bite it was room temperature at best! I checked another piece same. So after taking all the chicken off my plate I try a spring roll below room temperature! By this time I get my silverware and dig through my other items... the only thing somewhat warm was the broccoli beef. After another 10 mins I get my water. At least they put some fresh or at least hot pot stickers out so I ate some of them. I will never be back I will glady pay more for fresh food. This place is actually quite dirty upon looking around since I wasnt eating. Stains on floors old food on buffet lines stains on ceilings and tons of dust and cob webs. Would give zero stars but not a option

Service here at Canton has a slight feeling of hostility in the air. A certain feeling of mistrust. Feeling like being watched. However when I looked for service when I needed it most, there was no one to be found. The chefs however, I will give major credit towards. Always running in and out making sure all food trays were filled to the best of their ability. The food quality however has its ups and down. Upon taking a bite of the deep fried pork was over cooked to the point of the meat being super dry. The pot stickers tasted as though the insides were past their expiration date. The sushi tasted amazing however it was a little too much for one bite. I feel like they could cut the pieces one more time. Crab puffs were out of this world!! Three out of five stars not bad. Just need to brush up on some of the cooking techniques and a little smile in the service wouldnt hurt!!

Well the food was actually ok. But the service... man they are not friendly. Mean looks; snappy; unfriendly; annoyed; noisy etc... My wife and I spoilt ourself by eating out here, we were hungry and ate three plates each, but we took our time- we visited with each other played a game of UNO and had dessert- our waitress seemed not too happy at all by us being there that long- Hell, then again, nobody there seemed happy when we were being polite and friendly to them they were even more hostile. I kept getting the feeling they wanted us to eat like cattle at a trough and get the heck OUT!!! and they had to do everything to not kick us out... just saying the mood was tense. Oh and the decor is really old, like from the early 90s old, and the music is annoyimg saxophone... STAY AWAY!!!

We were brought here by friends who live here in town. The reviews made this place promising. However once we got here, it was almost as if it was an inconvenience to the staff. We had a party of 7 people (3) children. It took the staff 10 minutes to bring us drinks, then got an attitude when we asked for refills. Now onto the food. The selection was mediocre at best. A couple items were good, however the worse thing was the Sushi that was offered was not cold at all. My whole plate was warm. When I told the waitress, she touched it and said its not warm and took the plate from me. Finally, the cost if it was not worth the quality of the product. $12.99 per person and only 1 of the kids was a child price, which gave us a grand total of $87.00, oh and the tip was already included.
