I have eaten here 4 times and every time I leave feeling the same way... with the exception of the scones they serve as apatizers (which are delicious!!!) The food is just not as good as I hope it to be, especially for the cost. The building is a neat Victorian home decorated with interesting period items and historical items. Parking can be tricky. But on the whole it isnt a place I choose. Last time we ate there (my grandaughters baptism), my significant other got ice water with a big fly frozen half into an icecube. The waitress exchanged his water glass, but didnt even offer to do so for the rest of us despite the fly-ice having come from the same pitcher that filled all our glasses! His meat-lover omelette was like egg-leather with over salted meat chunks dropped inside, but not part of the egg. I had french toast and paid the extra almost $5 to add strawberries and whipped cream. I received my meal and had to wait another 5 mins for the berries and whipped cream. When they showed up it I has literally 2 berry chunks and a cup of sickly sweet red syrup. I had expected at the price they charged to be getting real berries and juice. But since we were in a huge group of 9 or 10 people, we did not complain after the fly and ice incident, so I do not know how they would have handled fixing it if I had given them a chance. I know they have been around for ever, and that many folks love their food. But for myself, I figure 4 times was enough of a chance, and I will not likely eat there again of my own accord. If you do go, the scones, butter and raspberry puree are still awesome, for the rest of the meal, I wish you better luck than I.

Cabbage Patch was amazing throughout the entire process. We had tried a few of the higher rated caterers in downtown Seattle and simply were not impressed. Their food was either boring, repetitive, or just nothing special. We contacted CP and they let us bring with us two friends and sat us down for 1.5 hours bringing out dish after dish. After we tried everything we were interested in, they sat down and talked with us about it. There were a few items we knew we didnt want and a few we were wondering if it would be possible to modify and they were always willing to help. We were very confident when leaving they would be our choice. After food we went looking for dessert. We didnt want a cake so we started looking for alternatives such as brownies but again didnt find what we wanted. We came back to CP and told them what we were thinking and they suggested cobbler. We came in again and they had 3+ flavors of cobbler all of which we liked. We again went with them. Day of the wedding, they arrived on time and started setting up. No major issues throughout the wedding and the food was great. They handled service, setup, and take down professionally and efficiently. They packed the leftovers and it was in the car when we got to the hotel. We cant say enough good things about CP and strongly recommend them to anyone in the area. Give them a call and ask for Sondra, they are great and the food is worth eating (still eating leftovers).

Three of us visited this week and were very dissatisfied. I had eaten here in the past and loved it, so this came as a shock for me. Not only were the tables sticky, staff was lukewarm with customer service of our table and the others around us etc. The staff sat us in the back of the restaurant by the staff service door to the kitchen and multiple times women came out discussing how to train, what she needed to do different and various other things that made us uncomfortable and lose focus on our conversation. Not professionalat all. When we ordered our food it was very disappointing, from flavor, freshness and price. I had the chicken pot pie and the puff pastry had to be a few days old. It was hard as a rock on top of the sauce and make a complete flakes mess all over me and the table as I attempted to eat it. I ordered a Pepsi and there was barely any ice in it, so it wasnt very cold. I ordered my daughter a cheeseburger off the kids menu and it was fries and burger, no drink for $5.95 & if you wanted cheese an additional $1.00!? Really for a kids menu item with no drink? $6.95? I ordered the pot pie as mentioned and it didnt come with a salad for over $15 I had to add one on for $2.50. The salad tasted good, but had way too much dressing. It was a vinaigrette and completely soaked the spinach and was thick.

This place is in an all-star class by itself. Weve been here about 5 times in the past several months. Every time we are impressed about yet something new. This morning my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a large, tasty Farmers Breakfast. We loved the grilled ham and sausage patties, grilled potatoes, scone, scrambled eggs and fruit. Also, of course, as usual, pleasant and efficient service with always-full coffee cups. I am 6 ft and 200 lbs. and rarely ever leave food on a plate. But this morning the thing about the Cabbage Patch breakfast is that while it was so great I wanted to keep eating, I just could not finish it all. My wife, the same. And for all that, less than a $30 bill (plus happily hefty tip). (As an aside...Recently at a Chamber of Commerce function I was surprised and impressed how pleasing the outstanding catered lunch was. When I asked, "Who catered this?" ... you guessed it. Cabbage Patch.) This restaurant has hit a home run out of the park every time weve been there. Great food. Plenty of it. Fine service. Quiet, tree-shaded outdoor cafe seating in summer. Delightfully relaxed, unassuming atmosphere. Clean. Respects their clientele. Attractive prices. What more would one seek? Flawless.

This place isnt usually the type of restaurant I enjoy, but I liked this place. Its a quirky setting in a historic house downtown. Original architecture, stained glass in the celings, weird seating arrangements; its bizzare, but in a very charming way. The menu is mostly comfort food. Lots of sandwiches, pastas, steaks, appetizers and the like. I had the prawn fettuccine and it was very good. Everything was cooked and seasoned well, down to the peppers that come on the side. My wife said she enjoyed her club sandwich, as well. The beer selection is slim, but they have a good menu of craft cocktails and fantastic pies. All of which make it a good place to swing in for a drink and some dessert and not necessarily a full meal. All in all, its up there with my favorite Snohomish spots. I wish the menu was a little more daring and a little smaller, but they seem to do everything well, so I cant really fault them. Ill definitely be back.

With a reception held in Everett, we researched caterer options north of Seattle. The Cabbage Patch website was very informative, including buffet selections with prices. We had a tasting at the Restaurant and was impressed by Sondras willingness to answer all our questions. The food and punch won us over. The staff (3) arrived promptly as scheduled to our event and went right to work. They were exceptional to work with. The presentation of the food and beverages showed this was not their first time. After the party, they "rolled up their sleeves" on their matching outfits and cleaned and mopped the facility. They provided boxes for the left-overs. I would not hesitate to use them again.
