Ive come here a dozen times for beef pad sie ewe, which very simply is the best Ive ever had--except for this last time. It comes to the table and I notice that the noodles are gobbed up into lumps and balls. It was as if the noodles were stuck together and then pressed to form chunks almost an inch thick. The texture was hideous. I picked out the noodle balls which then left me with less than half a plate of Pad Sie Ewe. I called our server over and showed her the dish but it was clear her English was limited. She knew, however, I wasnt happy. As if embarrassed, she left hurriedly and never came back. It was clear very shortly that the kitchen staff knew I wasnt happy because they came out to scowl at me. I finally grabbed the man I took to be the owner/manager, showed him the dish and asked him if he thought noodles served this way was acceptable. What then followed was a textbook example of how NOT to respond to a customer complaint. Instead of acknowledging that a mistake had been made and offering to make up for it somehow, the owner/manager decided the best defense was an offense. He launched into a testy explanation that noodles gobbed together into mashy little balls was "normal." I told him that I have never seen pad sie ewe noodles cooked that way in any Thai restaurant Ive been in, including his own. He continued to insist it was "fine." My wife, whose meal was perfect, then spoke up and said, "Well how come mine isnt like that if thats normal?" At that point the owner/manager set his jaw, got a hard look in his eye, turned on his heel and left without a word. Its as if they just couldnt admit their mistake. I couldnt even send the dish back because not one person there would come to our table. It would seem that their method of dealing with a customer complaint is to treat them like a hostile enemy and freeze them out. Finally I cornered the owner/manager and said, "I just want you to know that when I go home Ill be writing a review of your restaurant." Apparently it hadnt occurred to him until then that customers had that option. Within a minute he was back at our table and made a grand show of letting us know that he had taken my meal off the bill. And yet still not one word of apology. Ive been eating in Thai restaurants for 22 years and by now Ive seen more than a few slide into oblivion exactly because of poor customer service. I dont care how good this restaurant can be. I will never return to the Silver Spoon.

Pretty disappointed with this place... ordered vegetarian 4 star spicy Tom Juhd soup and Pad thai noodles... Unfortunately, the cook in the back did not know how to make the soup tasty without meat or seafood broth... The soup was literally water broth... they did not want to remake the soup... Wow... disappointed... Not good. I had to add my own salt. The waiter was indifferent & dismissive regarding the food arriving with epic dissatisfaction. Initially the waiter asked how many spicy stars I wanted for the soup... I requested 4 stars... The soup arrived with no salt and no spicy heat ... the waiter just brought me their salt & spice tray... I was confused... 1st why cant they remake the soup with some flavor? And why ask how many spicy stars for the soup if I have to do it myself? The pad thai noodles were a lot better than the soup. Hence 2 star rating. Food 2 Service 1 Decor & Ambiance 4 Cleanliness 4

All I can say is "Wow!" I came here with 12 other guests for my birthday, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was prompt and very attentive, and there was live music! Everyone loved the food, and the prices were more than reasonable. At the end, one of the guests mentioned that it was my birthday; normally at other restaurants they may offer a piece of cake or a sundae, but Silverspoon brought out an array of various desserts including mango and green tea ice cream, and two slices of cheesecake with a candle on top! They went above and beyond my expectations! I would come here again in a heartbeat!

My family loves this restaurant, and its my daughters favorite. Last night we took a group of 13 people there to celebrate my daughters 14th birthday. We brought celabratory cupcakes to hand out after dinner, and they wouldnt let us do it with paying a $10 fee. Weve had birthday dinners with friends and family at many restaurants through the years and have NEVER been asked to pay a fee for bringing in dessert - even when its a cake that the server graciously cuts and serves for us. Their food is great, but their policies are terrible.

Really good food....hooooorrrrrrible service. Takes forever for them to acknowledge your existence. You have to wait forever for them to take your order. In my two visits, once in a group of four and once in a group of eight, an order was wrong both times. The waitress argued with us about what was ordered. They didnt allow desperate checks for a group of 8, but would take a credit card one at a time, 8 times, to charge meals individually....as if thats quicker/easier.

Best Thai on the Eastside. Service is always efficient, warm and welcoming. Food is really good with a nice surroundings. Management is always attentive which Im sure contributes to this well run quality restaurant. If youre going to spend the money for a nice dinner out, this is the place to do it.

I love this place! If you live in Redmond, look in the coupon booklets in the mail for 15% off here . Theyre in the packets almost every time! The pad thai is amazing and they have really good IPAs and wine list. Theres usually a pianist at dinner time, which is a nice touch

The food my wife and I had was great! We came in and had a seat immediately, but I would wait for their food! The green tea they serve is a delightful refreshment with a spicy meal! Definately try them, you will never go back to any other!

Used to love this place and not sure what happened but the quality of the food has gone down and the customer service is not what it used to be. Not sure if new owner but it seems like when the owner is there things are 1000% better.

Loved their seafood curry - really creamy sauce and with a bunch of different things like scallops, shrimp and mussels. And they dont skimp on the heat - go for 1-2 stars for mild, 4-5 for super spicy! 3 is probably just right.

Good food crappy service. Waiter forgot about us after serving us our food. Waited 30 minutes before standing in the takeout line for another 10 to pay. My waiter walked past me 6 times while I was in line. Wont be coming back.

New favorite. Excellent service and the best Thai food Ive had in a long time. I think that every vegetable in my Phad Wo Sen was individually grilled, they all had a wonderful smokey flavor. Family friendly. Good fishtank.

Pretty disappointing meal tonight. We ordered Sizzling Beef and it wasnt even steaming, let alone sizzling. It felt like we should have gotten a better meal for a $65 tab (two of us). Probably wont go back again.
